Blondie I pray your life slows to a normal pace! Sounds like a lot of good and bad stresses all at the same time.
I have loaded some pics from my visit with my son stationed in Yokosuka. He and my husband climbed Mt Fiji in Aug, 2018, and my daughter and i visited in March of 2019. The Buddha pics hold special meaning as my husband's Father was stationed in Japan in the 50's, so there are now three generations with the same shot in front of the Buddha with the military men!
Of course we had to try the conveyor sushi, and BBQ grilling. Fire ramen was pretty good too. We saw a lot of cities, sights (and steps!) between Yokosuka, Tokyo and Hiroshima. A whirlwind, but great fun.
I have to say I was not a fan of the food, but glad I was able to try most. My daughter found a yukata for herself (Japanese pj) but they didn't make one my son's size (6'5", 260) so we bought material and I made him one and shipped it over. I was so pleased it fit perfectly from a made up pattern!
So many pics to choose from. My favorite was a shot in front of the floating gate in Hiroshima, but was on my phone, instead of camera (tech stuff is not my gig...lol)
To all--prayers for a safe and loving year.
Thanks for sharing stories, I follow more than post.
Did you guys see the video with the USS Chancellorsville. My son is on that ship. Russia's ship was too close. My stomach hurt the whole day. Thank God nothing happened.
Chris, I love all of your pictures! That is great about the 3 generations in front of Budda, what a treasure! Thank you for sharing with us.
Beachmomblue, I did see that on the news! Whew, that made me just shudder. I can't imagine what your son and all of those Sailors were going through. I am thankful that they were all okay.
Blondie, once again I need a nap after reading about what all you have been doing! Girl, you need to find a few minutes just for you, but I know you, and you are full steam ahead. I am very excited for you, and your sweet daughter with that new grand baby almost here. Looking forward to those pictures .
You hit the nail on the head when you said everybody is busy. We are still chipping away at getting my Mom's house cleaned out and ready to sale. There are six of us, and you would think it would be going fast. When we go over there my Mom comes too. Which makes it really hard when she thinks we should all want everything she has. It is hard, but I know that I can't take it all, and neither can by brothers and sisters. Also if she hears one of say "garbage" here she comes on that walker to see what we are throwing away. Also, a couple of them wants to sit down and go through pictures and we just can't do that now. Our goal is to have a sale and get rid of the stuff that we can't take, and then have a night to sit down and go through the pictures and divide them up. Every time I turn around one of them has a box of pictures or an album and having "old home week". I told Mother that keep them on task is like nailing Jello to a tree or herding cats! LOL! She just laughs. We need to get this done and the house on the market. We have made more progress in the last 2 weeks than all of the time prior. We started this job in March!!!! My hubby and my sister's hubbies are all ready for us to wind this up.
Our daughter came home for a last weekend for a short visit from Phoenix. We celebrated Father's Day while she was here. She treated me to a manicure and pedicure for Mother's Day. She also went to high school 10 year class reunion. We had a lot of fun with her home, but it was a fast and furious weekend. Just never enough time when she is home. Was good having all of my kiddos under my roof, even if it was for a short time.
Love your pictures Chris! Thanks for sharing! My son is currently out to sea in the uss Ronald Reagan. I am missing him and missed FaceTimeing him. I have been thinking about going to japan to visit but very nervous as I would be going alone. The stories I hear of that country are awesome. I guess time will tell. Hope everyone is doing well and your sailors are safe and happy!
Chris - Love the photos! Looks like both trips were wonderful.
Blondie - I think you found out that there are still people out there. You just need to get us started!
Beachmomblue - I completely understand your reaction to that news. I have similar reactions, even when my sailor isn't involved or even in the same part of the world. I hope you are able to breath easier soon.
Finally I am back! I had to change my password again for navy for moms. Really? this now makes three times!!!!
To the new moms ( us old moms here already know this) What Blondie shared - is just a normal day - week - month for her. Her nick name here is the Energizer Bunny. Blondie hugs. And fingers crossed for you hubby and a new job.
My hubby was able to find one too. But now has started wondering - if his will last too. Luckily there are two other places interested in him.
LOVE the pictures !!!!!! I agree - heart warming to learn that 3 generations has seen that Buddha . So glad it was wonderful trip for you. ANd if you can share more - please do!!!
Sending you air hugs Beachmomblue. I saw that too on the news. So very glad all was well.
And Cindy - I believe you will go to Japan!
Well, Miss. How good to see you!!! Yes, know the feeling of wanting to get things done. Maybe have a 'Family Albums/Photos" cook out. Tell everyone and your mom - to put all the albums/photos in one box. Make a date for a cook out and have great food and time to go through family memories. that way - everyone knows there will be a time to remember. You are doing a good, it will be done soon.
Sorry this is choppy. I still have to gt things together for my first Cub Scout Day Camp site tomorrow. And hoping to hear from sailor later. He is back in the states now, so he is getting settled in. ANd us seeing him - maybe. He still belongs to the Navy.
Thanks Everyone for chiming in. Good to KNOW you're still here. always like to catch-up! I wish the best for all of you and your families. I am sending out Lots of Hugs and positive vibes.
Had another blow dealt us. A VERY close friend was just dx. with breast cancer yesterday. It's already in her cervical bones. She's 77 yrs, young and takes care of her widowed brother (79yrs) and her best friend since childhood a 91 yr old. The 77 yr. old has had multi heart surgeries and is diabetic and his memory is fading. Like he will call me 3 times the same day to tell me the same thing. Sometimes only 5 mins. apart. The 91 yr. old broke her hip 2 years ago and has never recovered from the surgery, which caused a stroke. and has Alzheimer. I kept telling Mary to take care of Herself! Now this and all she can say/do is worry about the other 2! My heart breaks. I see a lot more will be needed in the coming months and see my kids/grandkids taking a backseat which Breaks my heart more. My children grew up with these 2 women and man, consider them family...another job I have to break the news to them. I know you all understand that's why I'm venting. HUGS
On a good note, Nothing special planned for this weekend. What a Blessing!
Blondie, I am so sorry for your devastating news. I am sending prayers for you and your family as you tell your children. I will also keep this sweet lady, her brother, and her best friend on my prayer list. What a heartbreaking situation. We just think sometimes we are having it rough. Always, always something to be thankful for. I forgot to tell you, I am also praying for your hubby's job situation. Enjoy your "free" weekend!
T-Lynn, it is good to hear from you, too! Thank you for the great idea. The only thing is that my bunch will say we will come to your house! LOL! Which is totally okay.
thank you guys, much appreciated. yesterday just kept getting worse and worse. Connor's Mom had another baby and is going through Post partum....got a call yesterday at noonish, scrambling to find someone to go pick up Connor. Hubby called me at work to see if we had him @ 5pm, I turned my phone on and it blew up! Yes we had Connor all was fine till we picked him up from temporary sitter (great aunt) But bunches of text between our "girls" took me awhile to decide who was saying what...someone going to the ER....my heart stopped went to my pregnant girl. so sent x-sailor a private text, no Mom it's me! Oh! Texted Joe are you with her? Where's T????? Yes, kinda, we're in hospital, she's being seen, T's with me in waiting room. She had contacted Joe, telling him she didn't feel well. She called the clinic on base they advised her to go to ER. No one to take Tahlia so she waited till Joe to get off work. ( What???I KNOW RIGHT) anyhow, she hadn't kept anything down, not even water all day, couldn't stand by herself when Joe got home, he stuck them in the car and went to Hospital (45 mins.)! definitely dehydrated (duh) IV, Meds, labs. a couple hours later some kind of virus, can't identify it, more labs, more meds, another IV, Joe took T for a walk, texted me, "come anytime " He had surgery last wed. is NOT suppose to be lifting, is on light duty.... Ended up they released her late last night to go home and wait and see, she has to go back in today for more draws and labs. :( Here we go again! This has happened twice before! Military doesn't always disclose..... We are SO Thankful it happened while Joe was not at training or deployed and on a weekend so he's there with her. I haven't bought my ticket yet....
Hi moms, I hit the "stop following" button in error and I hope I catched up enough.
Today I am breast cancer free 2 years. I am on a new chemo drug to prevent it coming back and will be done in 10 more months. My youngest is almost 2 years beating brain cancer. 4th of July 2017 started that horrific story.
Chris, love the pics.
Turns out that my DIL is going to Sasebo for July and part of August.
Kim, So glad to hear things are going good for you.
Daughter assured me she's fine so I stayed put for now. Joe is still on for training in July. Trying to arrange for her to come home but she worries about the house and yard. they have had a lot of flooding and the air Conditioner (new in April) keeps shutting down! Excusses if you asked me! I WORRY more about her and T.
Blondie !!!!!!! OMG! You are going have to say out loud - I have had enough! My turn to have ONLY wonderful - fun - loving things to happen for me and my family! Don't worry - I am already YELLING for you . I know you - you will be there for everyone of them. And it will al come together. Just make one promise - Promise to give yourself some well deserved Me Time. You have too. You count too. Gentle hugs. So will have you have a ticket on stand by? I kinda see a trip coming your way.
Hey - Miss! Glad you like the idea and I felt that bunch would be at your place. That so you are in control.Promise - it will be a breeze and so much love/fun too. Let us know when it takes place. hugs
Yippee Kim. Doing the Pan Mom happy chair dance for you and your son. And hoping your dil in law has a good trip back to Japan. Hugs
T-Lynn, thanks and believe me I've been yelling! but more issues at home, depending on her to be an adult. :(
My "ME time" comes when that new baby comes! :)
Pregnant daughter bigger and more tired. LOL Had some eye issues, but found out yesterday not related to baby, she scratched her cornea. As painful and bad as that is so Grateful it wasn't her BP, Sugar or Baby pressing on anything.
Ex-sailor has some unknown infection, we're convinced the Navy knows but is not telling. She was forced to stop breast feeding very hard on her and Tahlia! Trying to dry up naturally (cabbage leaves and peppermint) but Hormones are going wild! Joe got a call Thur. morning they were taking his Grand Dad (who raised him) off life support, he got in car and drove 15 hours straight to make it in time (after notifying the Navy and getting emergency leave) Long story short, he still hanging on. They moved him from ICU to a private room so family could be with him around the clock. Daughter is afraid he'll die today, her 30th birthday. She has no idea when Joe will come home and he leaves next weekend for 3 weeks (Navy).
My BIL got to come home yesterday after his stoke they found a blocked artery in his neck and then he had heart surgery.... So as usual live is Crazy around here. Hubby loved his job the 1st week but not so much the 2nd....I'm still dealing with old computers.....Summer has arrived in Ohio. 90's/70's Hot and Humid, pop up storms.... got a very small garden in. too wet and no time. Have been picking black raspberries.
Happy Fourth all! those who can hug your sailors - do so. And share one from all of us who cannot.
I am one of the cannot hugs. But just got off the phone with him. He is doing fine. Just wants his new job in the Navy to fall into place. He is just so organized that he can't stand if his new job is not where he thinks it should be. He's fine.
Blondie - no words - just lots of hugs. I'm still shouting for you. so maybe the two of us and I know the other Pan Moms here will yell for you too. So fingers crossed - all of us can help move some good karma your way. Good to hear that it was only a scratch on the eye that will heal. But will send positive energy to Blondie Jr. But you make some Me Time! hugs
Right now - I have time to be here. So I am wishing all a wonderful day. Hope your fourth is fun and no rain! at this moment - knock on wood - no RAIN !! But naturally my one son who loves the weather channel - just had to check it. A BIG storm coming our way. ANd just in time for fireworks. So I am thinking - fireworks will be on the tv tonight. that s ok - no bugs!
Thanks T-Lynn, I know I can count on you for encouragement and a kick in the pants :) when I need it. I did sit and enjoy a couple hours with family yesterday, after getting all my work done of course! We have a family wedding this weekend, destination, not really relaxing making all the plans, time limits....But Blondie Jr. is 1.5 centimeter but just fluttering contractions. Baby M is practicing!! I told her those are the kind you want, slow and soft but getting the job done. Was hoping for baby yesterday but maybe this weekend??? She was asking our schedule right down to the hour of leave time, wedding, reception, leave time.....Hubby already has directions from Church, Reception Hall and Hotel! LOL I think we're ALL ready. So many phone calls and texts from both sides of the family Everyday!
Didn't get to Hug my sailors but Everyone accounted for. Nephews safe on bases. Joe arrived home this morning, reports in tomorrow and leaves Sunday early. Not a lot of time with wife and T. Granddad did pass on her birthday. Even Hubby said we should fly out and be with them when he leaves. LOL until I reminded him of Baby M. Where's that time travel machine? Well I'm at work so gotta hurry along. Hope everyone had a Fun, Sunny 4th
Time Travel Machine. Great idea - us Pam moms would be using that non stop!
Hope all works out Blondie. Honest, I am sad for you - happy for you and tired for you! You are the only person I know who has non stop family happenings and all done with total love. You take a rest and I will do some yelling that you need Me Time! hugs
Ok - Moms check in. Need to know how you are doing? Hows your sailors? and any thing else you want to share. In other words - my gossip tank is low. I need filling up!
Kim - Maggs and Miss - been feeling you three. What's up?
New here - Emma Rose is finally getting into 0 - 3 month clothes !! She is going on 3 months now. Just a tiny - LOUD - little sweetie. Just over 10 pounds too. Trying to hold her head up and rolling over. But the the crazy thing - her mommy shared that her gums are very bumpy and Emma is trying to suck on everything - and chew! Teeth - Now? Wow. Let you all know for sure when I do.
Heard form my sailor, he is getting settled in in the East Coast now and loves it. It talks about how wonderful to see and feel green soft grass. An d he is so looking forward to Autumn. Pumpkins - colorful leaves - apple cider and donuts and pies and Ghost tours. Can you tell he is making plans?
WEll, I need to get - My Me Time was short but I got here!
I have been reading sporadically on here. Working a lot. I will be cutting back to 4 days a week in October. My FMF Corpsman and his wife are doing well. I will be spending Thanksgiving with them. So excited. I keep thinking it’s a long way off but the way this year is flying by, it will be here sooner than I think. They were here for a wedding in April. It was great to see them and my son’s friends many of whom I haven’t seen since high school. Talk about time flying!
Comes with the Big family thing. Hubby comes from a family of 12 kids and I come from a family of 6 kids. They all got married and had families and now we have Great nieces and nephews added in.
Got to spend the whole weekend with my 11 month old great niece! what a JOY. Happiest baby alive and she's teething! this is the one that was born on Blondie Jr's last miscarriage so holds a special place in my heart. I'll try to upload pictures from my phone later today.
Bride(youngest niece, on my side) was Beautiful and hurting. Baby (she's 6 months along) is laying wrong and pinching her sciatic nerve. Ouch! Her dad has had both knees replaced and ankle re-built...and hip problems so between the 3 of us it was a site! As they walked down the isle they wobbled out and then in, we all held our breaths, if they tumbled who was gonna pick whom up. But all went well. LOL
Joe left early yesterday and Tahlia was having a hard time of it, poor thing, hadn't seen him for 9 days and then had to share him with the Navy for 1 and a half days and he's gone now for another 21 days. Daughter is struggling but hanging in there, 1 day at a time. Getting done with IV meds. and just taking meds. by mouth. trying to study for National exam and has to schedule T's daycare physical and finish all the paperwork for them and her allergies....what a life! And Nana is just sitting here waiting on Baby M. Yelling NOT FAIR! but when is life fair? Both my girls are over 30 and capable of taking care of themselves but Mama still worries and wants to help. this is worse then when they were little!!!
I have not checked in with y'all for over a week. I was off from work last week. Would love to say that is was a nice relaxing week but whew that would be a far stretch! Monday, my oldest sister and I went blackberry picking. We were walking, talking and picking berries, and ended up getting turned around on the trails, and did not come out where we went in. LOL! We walked forever to get back to hubby's side by side, and I ended up with some very nasty blisters on both feet. We then found some more berries and just about overheated while picking them, but neither of us would tell the other that we were not feeling well. Both of us did not feel well at all afternoon. Tuesday, I took my Mom for a check-up, got a got report for her. Then that afternoon all of my brothers and sisters, and my Mom went to er house to try to wrap it all up. Didn't quite make it. My sister and I went berry picking again early Wednesday morning and finished filling our buckets. I made a pie out of some of mine, and put the rest in the refrigerator. That afternoon I did take a little break and went out on the boat with hubby, son and daughter in law. It was so nice, enjoyed the peace and quiet. While we were out my daughter called and we all got to talk to her, so that was an added bonus. Thursday morning, oldest sister and I went to Mom's house and was just going to get everything in order and clean a little to be ready for Estate Sale to start on Friday. We worked from 7:45 to 7:00. We both were worn out when we left. All of the other siblings had plans for the day. We did too, but knew it had to be done. I was back over at Mom's before 6:00 Friday morning. We had a great turn out and sold a ton of stuff. I went and got Mom about 9:00 and she really enjoyed getting to see so many people that she knew. Saturday was also a good day, we didn't sell as much as we did on Friday, but we did get rid of a lot of stuff and we are so thankful for all that we did sell. She was very pleased and that is all that mattered. Someone asked her if it was bothering her and her answer was "I came into the world without nothing, and I will not be taking anything with me when I leave it." She said she has everything she needs and she would rather sell everything as to have it sitting in her house with no one living in it. We are all just counting our blessings that she was the one who told us to sell everything and her house. Our next step is getting an appraisal and then we will put it on the market. I sure hope it sells quickly.
Blondie, your plate is always full! I am in agreement with T-Lynn, you are one busy woman. You need time for yourself, maybe a month on a deserted island. Praying for you and all of your family, especially those girls.
Miss - what a time. But my mouth is watering - FRESH berries and a PIE !!!!! So glad that the Estate Sale went well. But especially how Happy your Mom is. I see that house selling in a flash! when it does - You need to have a cook out to celebrate the beginning of a new journey fro your family. hugs
Dramasoul - how awesome - Thanksgiving Dinner with them. And a wedding too. Collect your hugs to put in your heart. But have a great time and maybe share some picture.
Blondie - my heart hurt too for little Tahlia. The navy is good , but not to a baby who needs her daddy. Hoe the 21 days fly by for her. Keep us posted on baby coming and how Blondie Jr is dong. And do send us a post that you are having some Me Time! Now us believing you - well - have to wait to see. But if we all get a picture of you on a desert island - resting in a hammock and with a great looking guy serving you drinks - ok then we all believe you are having Me Time. Now you all know what Blondie will do - she will find a picture on a desert island and put her picture in it and post. You know I will take that. At least she will have to have taken an hour to her self to do create that picture! You know we are kidding Blondie - we just care about you. hugs
Ugg, I wrote a whole book on my phone and it wouldn't post, I even remembered to copy but it won't let me paste either. Stupid thing! And T-Lynn thinks I can crop a picture or photoshop whatever. LOL
Miss, Your Mom is Amazing! I LOVE her outlook on life. I'm right there with her. Glad you got to spend time with you sister - Priceless! The boat rides sounds Fun and Relaxing! I've been picking blackberries, red raspberries and mulberries for the last 2 weeks, never got lost! LOL but they're patches in our yard. (wink, wink)
T-Lynn, still laughing you think I could change a picture. Bahaha am gonna try to post a few later. I am having forced me time, well sorta, I am home alone today. Doctor 1 left on vacation right after work on Mon. Thinking Doctor 2 would be here for Tues. afternoon appointments but Dr. 2's flight was canceled! So yesterday I worked am with Nutritionist and calling appointments and re-scheduling. I worked the afternoon doing mail, chasing down EOB's, Direct deposits and posting to pt. accounts. I can get a lot done in little time with no interruptions! Today no one is in, Massage therapist is on vacation also. So have to decide if I'm gonna work tomorrow or Friday. Tomorrow the place with be hoping busy but Kim is working so do I go in and try to get stuff done or wait on Friday when it's quiet again?? I do need to go over things with Dr. 2 tho. Hmmm And what if Blondie Jr. goes into labor??? I also have to mow yard and work Saturday.
Anyhow today is mine! So, did dishes, hung 2 loads of laundry outside before 8. after getting hubby's breakfast and packing his lunch and getting him and son out the door for work. Think I'll mop all my floors today, maybe wash bedding...???? I got all the plants watered, inside and out, trying to beat the heat. Maybe I'll finish that book I started in April! And to think I use to read 4 books every week. So I am being forced to take 2 days off this week, with no pay of course which I Hate because I want my vacation pay for Babies!
first my phone now my computers! I hate electronics! If this doesn't post I 'm done. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer. We had a wet spring but summer came and had 10 days with not a drop, things dried up and bugs came out! Now Hot and Muggy! and when it rains, it's a storm with flooding, Good oh Ohio. LOL
I'll try to post some pictures and then I'm off to see what I can get done. Chicken quarters, mashed potatoes and green beans for supper tonight. supper tonight. bahahaha
Thanks Lauren! I tell everyone "Look out, it's my Sassy cut!" LOL
Got everything done yesterday, even drove to town (30 min. drive) and got groceries, spent way to much money! then after driving home again, had to unload and put away by myself, no wonder I usually wait on the weekends and take hubby with me. think I over did it. :( hurting and slipped in shower....up since 2am Working today because Kim texted me yesterday. Of course I sad yes, I was feeling great then and wanted to save vacation days! Nothing going right here at work, internet problems, can't communicate with Medicare, first fax went through fine, Hospital asked for earlier one I sent on July first to be re-sent they misplaced it, now fax won't go through, 4th try!!! Elderly patient locked herself and our of car, her cell phone is in car....I called onstar for her... patients wanting to sign in on kiosk, need to process patients leaving and giving me money, phone ringing...I have a headache! Not a good day, way to busy for just 1 doctor! And Saturday is packed already, might have to talk doctor into working Friday. Baby M better wait till Friday night or Saturday! Okay, thanks for letting me Rant. Hugs
Blonide RANT all you want. WE all have super glue to put our ears back on. You look beautiful!!!!! Love your hair and dresses.
ANd thank you for the pictures!!! Oh how precious is that smile!!! I saw that one first and my heart just leap. Needed that smile. ANd that chocolate pudding looks yummy!!! How fun to let the kids still do that. Sorry that you had two Forced Me Days - but you sure got some time. Glad you got alot done. Keep us posted on Blondie Jr please.
busy here too - but nothing like you Blondie. I helped my son paint his bedroom. Well, I missed the last two steps of the short ladder. So my butt is sore. I just don't bounce like I use too. So I am doing all the paper work today. Not moving my bottom half to much. I am letting it rest.
The bedroom is a violet /pink. And so many drops got on the trim. But a god sponge and elbow grease got it off. I think they didn't expect the pink to be so much in that violet. But the room is large and it does look so nice in the morning and evening light. Very soft feel to it.
Blondie - no worries. My bottom half is doing ok. I just have been sore. No traveling pain. ANd I promise - IF I ever get hurt bad I will go to the doc for help - I am coward. And I need to be near my computer so I can talk with you all. hugs Thanks for caring.
Heard from sailor in his new home in Virginia Beach now. He received a package fro us. Filled with a new hoody for Fall and three bags of Mrs. Fisher;s Chips! How I knew he got it - he sent a picture. A picture of his living room - TV on with a Cub game playing - a can Bapst Blue Ribbon Beer - bags of chips with the BBQ ship open and his feet! Sound familiar?
To the new moms - when I would ask if he arrived to his destination - he would send home picture of his feet! Feet on a beach - a sidewalk - by the pool - in bed getting ready to sleep - etc. So now in his new home. Well at least there was a Cub game. Hope they won.
Hey all - take care in this heat. We just had a big storm go through. Was suppose to drop teh humidity and temp. Again I said: "suppose to". HAHAHA! Guess the weather forgot to listen to the weather man. So please all stay safe.
Hey - Miss making a other pie ?
Need tog et on - ladies have a wonderful rest of the week. And stay cool. hugs
It is HOT & MUGGY in Mississippi! But on the bright side they are telling a cold front is on the way. Suppose to have rain and possible storms this afternoon. Our weather man kept saying this morning that Wednesday will be the coolest July day ever in Mississippi, and no humidity. I am so looking forward to it, even if it is just one day.
Things have been crazy here. We had Mom's Estate Sale and got rid of a lot of stuff. All of the furniture sold which was a blessing. The little stuff that was left, my sister took to try to sell it at her church yard sale that will be the first weekend in August. My oldest sister and I helped her wrap and pack up everything and load it, Monday & Tuesday night after the sale. Then my oldest sister and I cleaned the house good on Wed. night. We literally liked to have killed ourselves getting it done right. I met with appraiser on Thursday afternoon. Friday afternoon, I had just walked in the house from work when my Mom called and said she was having chest pains. I took off up there. Called my oldest sister on the way and told her to meet me up there and she said I have just literally walked in my house from visiting with her and she didn't say one word to me. To make a very long story short, we took her to ER (it was a literally a joke), they wanted to admit her as an observation patient (bigger joke), repeated her test the next morning, told us at 9:00 a.m. they were dismissing her. Finally got her back to Assisted Care Facility at 1:30 p.m. (less that a 1/2 mile from the hospital). Then she went to her reg. family Dr. on Monday morning. Ended up back in his office on Wed., and was admitted to the hospital in the town where he practices. She has not had any more chest pains but her BP is staying higher than they like. He talked to me and my sister, and told us that he really doesn't want to change her meds as this could cause more issues with her colon (going to sleep) and he is afraid he won't be able to do anything for her if that happens. She had this problem about 2 years ago and almost died. He had added another tablet for her to take as needed, and really wants to find the reason the BP is up. She also has to follow up with her heart Dr. She came back to ACF on Friday afternoon and has been as happy as she can be. She likes it better than the hospitals and says she get lots better care there. She pitched her a few fits while she was in the hospital and had to apologize.
T-Lynn, I haven't made another pie, but my sister brought me some fresh blueberries and I made a Cream Cheese Blueberry Pound Cake last week, and I made a Georgia Peach Pound Cake yesterday. Hubby said he likes the peach on the best. Going to have to share this one. I can't continue to eat these things. That is my problem. I love to bake but no one to eat them, but the 2 of us. With all that has happened to Mom in the last 2 years and my loving cake, I have managed (haha) to gain 30 lbs! I can't seem to do anything about it. I try hard to loose for about a week or 2 and then don't see any results and I just fall off the wagon. It doesn't help that I love to cook and bake, and don't have many opportunities to do so, but when I do , I really go overboard.
I am happy your son is settled in his new home. I hope he loves Virginia Beach. We made several trips up there when our Sailor and daughter-in-law were there. I loved it.
The bedroom sounds very pretty. Also, happy you are okay, after your mishap.
Got to run, it a Monday morning here. I hope all is well with everyone. Stay cool!
T-Lynn the bedroom sounds WONDERFUL! Hope your Butt is better. So nice to know he's enjoying his new house. I mean, Cubs game, chips beer and his feet up sound comfy! the heat dried up my berries but the squash is Loving it. LOL We are done to the 80's but get relief at night..
Miss, hope the cold front got their quietly and you cooled down a bit. ours came with storms! Sounds very busy but productive, Good for you and Sisters. Sorry to hear about your Mom, How is she doing? Oh those 30 #! I'd love to lose 30-50, well 50 might be too much but really hard to lose once we get older and I'm restricted on exercise and physical activities. Grrr and like you I LOVE to cook and bake! I use to cook for a living, managed Pizza Hut for 9 years, Managed ELKS dinners and events and then the schools for 11 years. Besides all the Church festivals, family holidays etc...and all my canning!
Tue. July 23rd, at 8 pm by emergency C section. Both are doing Great!
Joseph Jude Martin, 8# 8oz 20 1/2 inches long.
She went to hospital mon. at 9 pm and they started a Pitocin drip, she was already at 3cm, had been having contractions for 3 weeks.....at 3am they broke her water, still not progressing, giving her more and more Pitocin, using a peanut ball....nothing is helping her. Hard ,fast contractions - Nothing. He was trying to come out almost sideways, his head was down but neck bent and shoulder.....!!! She could have NEVER birthed him, both of their BP and pulse were too high so in they went what we were told would be 1/2 hour ended up being 1 and 1/2 hours. But both are doing great and will come home today or tomorrow. I'll try to post pictures. :)
CONGRATULATIONS, BLONDIE! What an adorable little guy. I just love his hair! I am so thankful he is here and that both Mom and sweet baby are doing okay, after all of that. I know your feet is not touching the ground yet! Can't wait to see more pictures.
OH baby !!!! He is a cutie!!!! I like his hair too. He looks so determined too. Like saying: "ok - I ma here . Where is my Grandma Blondie to spoil me?" Congrats Blondie to you and your family. so happy he and mom are doing well.
Thank You Miss. My gossip tank is over flowing!!!
Pound cakes!!!! Fresh fruit in them too. Mouth is so watering. ANd I am in the same boat with you. When I get to bake, I have to do several taste testing. That taste testing is resting nicely on my hips and thighs.
Congrats on getting that house ready. And the sale sounded like it went well. Hope your sister can sell the rest of it at the Church Yard sale. But how is your mom doing? that had to be a scare. Thankfully you are close.Promise to give yourself some tender loving care too.
Oh did you get some cool temps? I can say not here. We start off cool with high humidity, then bake like an oven in the afternoons.A couple of out day camps closed because of heat. Otherwise, teh camps were taking hoses and wetting the kids down. It worked!
Emma is now in newborn to 3 months clothing. Just fitting into them. She is 3 and half months. She is getting bigger, just slowly. But she is all attitude. Of late she has found her toes and thumbs.. Those thumbs she can get in her mouth, working on bending to get her toes - no luck as yet.
Riker will get to go to Pre-SChool in the afternoons. GOOD ! He will receive speech therapy. After some testing - he is deaf in his right ear. But otherwise he is just fine. He was also enrolled in teh No Cavaities Cllub!!! He was so proud for his first visit with teh dentist.
Well, my Me Time is up. I have to get those set of club minutes done.
Been Supper BUSY, Of course I had to go down and help Blondie Jr. They live in a 3 story condo with no bathroom on main floor. David's spent his time off in the hospital with them, he got fri, sat. and sunday with them at home and had to go to work so Nana to the rescue. Then I had to come back to work to do month-ends, billing....now back down, just no time to get on computer! Ex-Sailor called me just now and said Tahlia and she are gonna fly in on the 24th and Joe will drive up with the 2 dogs, They are staying 3 weeks, with a short trip to MO, which they'll leave the dogs with us for. And possible one of the dogs forever with us. My life is Never quiet or simple BUT LOVING it!!!!

Hello everyone-
Blondie I pray your life slows to a normal pace!

Hi everyone,
Did you guys see the video with the USS Chancellorsville.

I hope all is well for each of you!

HI
Hugs all

I hope you all have a blessed and safe weekend.

Blondie
thank you guys, much appreciated. yesterday just kept getting worse and worse.

Blondie

HI
Take care al - hugs

T-Lynn
HI
WEll, I need to get - My Me Time was short but I got here!
hugs all

DramaSoul
Hi All!
I agree with T-Lynn...Blondie you are crazy busy!
Hugs to all!

Blondie
Hahaha T-Lynn you nailed me!
DramaSoul, so true! Crazy busy, non-stop....
Work is crazy busy gotta run, Hugs to all

Mississippi Mom
Good afternoon, Ladies.
Jul 8, 2019
T-Lynn
HI
You know we are kidding Blondie - we just care about you. hugs
Need to get along hugs all

Chicken quarters, mashed potatoes and green beans for supper tonight. supper tonight. bahahaha

So I wish all a great rest of a weekend hugs

HI

Mississippi Mom
Good morning!

I've been busy, Baby M FINALLY arrived!!!

HI
Wish all a good weekend hugs
