life at DLI
Our son as just arrived at DLI and so we have lots of questions about what to expect...as it’s so close to Christmas do the new Sailor get to have liberty ? I ‘ ve not hear from him yet .. what are they doing ? Do they start classes straight away ?

They don’t start class right away. They get orientation. Not sure if your sailor will get leave since he just got there. My son has know for a month they were getting leave. There are buses going to airports. They have phone access if he has a cell phone. I text more than talk.
