Hello, & congrats to your son on selection to OCS! I know that OCS takes 2 weeks off during Christmas & New Years but my son was there in 2020, so they had to stay put because of the pandemic. I believe they usually get some leave but maybe someone who has been there more recently can give more details to you.
Have you been able to find your son's class FB group for family & friends? That can be a great source of information. You can also ask to join the class or 2 before his. This can provide info of what's ahead & most groups don't mind allowing people to join for this reason. Try searching FB with "Navy OCS Class _ _ - 24 Family & Friends", inserting his class number in the spaces. Here's a couple links that might help also if you haven't already found them:

My son was there last Christmas. They got two weeks without classes (roughly Dec, 23 - Jan. 6 - but they will tell you). Of those, they had the option of taking one week as leave and going home (or wherever) and had liberty on the base for the other week. They could choose which week. If they took leave, it counted against their leave, but since they accumulate leave while there, we didn't find that was much of an issue.
