A place to come for support and guidance for anyone with a loved one in the nuke program ⚓️.
My NUKE Sailor went into the Navy ~ December 12, 2016.
P.I.R. 2-03-2017
Re-enlisted March 2019.
Exit date ~ SOON! March 7th, I believe. BUT he has already worked his last day!!! As Prototype Instructor .....last YEAR!! He came home on leave for the 2024 holidays. Went back to Charleston January 16th and was to report for work Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Well, the school was closed that day because of snow. And also, the 22nd, the 23rd and the 24th!!! He didn't have to report/work at all that week!! His LAST official week of work!!! Starting this week and for two weeks he has all his doctor appointments and paperwork to exit the military! Last day for him to report is February the 7th . . . and after that he is on leave again!!! To his official exit date!!! SOOOO . . . NO MORE NAVY! He is stoked! He is DONE! These last two years have been hard on him. He'd rather be out on he sub!! Anyway, with all that be said, his Dad and I are leaving Saturday from Arizona and driving to Charleston to help him pack up and come back home!! He will have a 'container' dropped off there at the apartments and we will put all his belongings in it. Then they (the company) will transport it back to Arizona ~ while we V A C A T I O N our way back to Arizona!!
Ohhhhh! THIS MOMMA'S HEART IS SO HAPPY!!

Our Nuke family is just a few months behind you. The paperwork is going well. We won't have to travel to get him. But we are planning a big trip together (in the opposite direction) this summer. More about that later.
Best of luck to you all or should I say " fair winds and following seas" for the future.
