Inquiring bootcamp mom's need to know (Black Bag w/goodies after PIR?)
I am hoping to get some other mom's OR veteran bootcamp moms, input on the type of carry on all-black bag for our future sailors for when they leave for their A-school. Anyone care to share? I know there are a lot of more inquiring mom's out there

i am not sure, but i remember reading a while ago they are issued the black backpack and that is where they can put some stuff if you meet them at the airport, like contacts, phone, laptop?

They are issued a black backpack when they are processed, and they carry it with them most of the time. When they leave for A School they also carry their ditty bag. I am not sure if they are allowed more than that for travel or not.
