My son was approved leave for the Christmas holiday and today I tried to get him a airline ticket and they said he needed a pass port. so I didn't book his flight. others have said he doesn't need a pass port so confused please help.
My kids flew home on leave and did not need a passport. All they need is their leave paperwork and their Military ID. My sons always flew American Airlines.
My son also flew home from Japan on leave without a passport. He had one but it expired and his new one didn't come in time. All he had to do was use his leave chit and his military ID.
My son was stationed on the GW when he first joined in 6/2005. When the GW went to Japan all he needed was his leave paper work. katlanta is correct starting for you to get his passport papers started because if he does have to fly home for some reason he will have it.
