Boot Camp Girlfriends

My boyfriend left for boot camp yesterday.

my fiance left january 25. im so proud of him, but its so hard. he graduates march 19.

My bf left for bootcamp yesterday 2/1 /10 i miss him sooo much

Does anyone know when the first -real- phone call (not the 10-second I love you. I'm here. Good-bye phone call) comes in?? I've been glued to my phone, but nothing has come yet :( I want to hear his voice so very very much.

Hey Seans GF thats awsome your bf is in a 900 div. That means you will get to see alot of him at graduation since they're the first div to walk out. My bf is in div 920. Boot Camp is sooo hard for them as it is for us. This site has helped me alot im sure you'll find lots of great STRONG women on here. Good Luck to your soon to be Sailor.

Hey Kayla yes they do go by numerical order and if your boyfriend is in the 900 division then yes theyre busy working during the whole ceremony :)

oh my goodness! i week from today and i will be on my way to great lakes to see my man graduate bootcamp on the 23rd! I'm so excited i cant wait, plus were going to six flags on that Saturday, which is our favorite place to go together! I'm so excited!

Cori-Love is the best motivation. It keeps me going when I am sad and missing my man.. (ship 3 div 230).. I love him.. He loves me.. and that is what keeping both of us going.. So just keep being there for him and he will come back to you. Don't worry its new for both of you (and me).. So just stay positive..

cori can i ask why you are not going to PIR? I mean if your going to be there

I was wondering.. How do I know if I am on the access list? My boyfriend said before he left that he didn't know if he was going to be inviting me or not because of family drama (long story) but I want to know so that I can plan instead of waiting around. Does anyone know?

HI ladies my bf has been gone for about three weeks and I'm starting to get sadder than I already was when he left..neither his family nor I have heard anything from him and I know he's okay I just miss him desperately..ladies I need some encouragement..please..thanks

branbear, it was two and a half weeks before i got my first letter and three weeks before i got my first phone call. just be patient even though it is so tough.

Yeah I've sent him multiple letters..I don't know what is going on I spoke with his recruiter and they said everything is on schedule..I'm just really missing him

hey ladies guess what..i received about five letters to day from my recruit..i was in tears as i wlked inside my home..the mailman that i was nuts..lol..i said there and read them in tears

Hi everyone! My bf has been in boot camp two weeks now. I'm an emotional roller coaster but I'm doing surprisingly well most times. His family has been great. If its not his mom calling, its his sisters, aunt, or my parents to check up on me. I guess they all know it would be hardest on the person who practically lived with him.

This website has really helped me get through some nights and I just wanted to thank you all. For those of you struggling a bit, I found a discussion that has me laughing so hard. "Top Ten Lines Home From Boot Camp..." Hilarious! Can't wait to see what he'll write on his letters.

tommorrow will make four weeks and this past thurs was my first time receiving letters and today i received my first call from him..i was so excited..i kept saying, ''is this really you'' lol

Well he arrived there on May 6th and his PIR is July 1st so a full 8 weeks..

Ooo so it is like a week shorter.. Well thats not too big of a difference.. I say they should only make BC a month.. =]

I swear I am going crazy.. Egh.. I think my bf's division is just an issue or something because I see everyone else getting letters but nothing for me.. Or he isn't writting which is hard to believe.. Non the less I'm discouraged..

BTW, you said you weren't going to PIR but are you going to IL to visit? If you are, just think "35 more days!"

Before he left he thought I couldn't afford the flight but now I can and I told him in a letter that I could so I hope he makes room for me.. He didn't want his gma to go anyway..

I got a phone call from my boyfriend not long ago!! :) (ship 3 div. 232, great lakes, PIR 7/1/10). He sounds like he is doing great!! :) he says its not that bad, he has made a lot of new friends. He told me to stay happy and possitive, so thats what im going to do! :) I am soo happy to hear from him! :) It was just yesterday i was crying because i was scared because i was forgetting the sound of his voice!..add me as a friend and message me, i want to know whats going on in the navy stuff. i want to know what they are doing and all of that please help me.

Hitomi- It is normal for a recruit to not write for a while.. He is probably wayyy tired or sick. They all get overwhelmed at one point and rather sleep or pray or something instead of writing.. Remember no news is good news. Keep your head up. =] Oh and don't keep your letters you write.. Send them out.. They receive mail everyday and he would love to get something I know it. =]

ps as a mom...don't worry too much about getting letters, Joana's right, they're in one of the most demanding experiences in their lives so far, so be supportive but don't obsess or worry if you don't get a letter, let him be.
Focus on what comes after boot camp! Join a C school or duty station group - live your life and give your sailor room to concentrate on these first steps in a great career. Just a mom who's been through it talkin' here ;)

Hi to All ! Well Im new to this site but so far Im loving it!! My boyfriend left July 8th so hes just into his 2nd week at Boot Camp @ Great Lakes!! And Iv really been struggeling with the whole not hearing from him let alone a big hole in my life that he filled! I know its not the end of the world but feels like its coming close lol! but just reading others expereance I feel so much better so hope to make some new friend and learn about this new navey life thats around the cornner!!! Hope to hear from someone soon! Also do they get to call? and when ? lol

Welcome MT! Congratulations on joining Navy life. No phone calls, but you'll be getting letters as they have time to write each Sunday. And just a word of advice, send letters only, no packages ( If you don't have his address yet his recruiter can give it to you). And watch what you post here (personal info or photos that could be embarrassing to a recruit) as RDC's at boot camp sometimes peek in here!!
