Anti M - My heartfelt condolences on the loss of your cat. Pets are dear friends and a great comfort to us. I know you are going to miss him. Thanks for sharing your picture , such a beautiful pose among the African violets, one of my favorite flowers. 

MaterNauta - So happy for your Facetime with your Sailor!! I was trying to read these posts this morning via the email feed on my phone while I was walking, and I saw it then but forgot to comment earlier. As hard as it is to not have them close by or not be able to go see them, it really does make my momma heart happy just to see  my sailor's face and my grandbaby too!!

Shanny - That is funny about your sailor's slip up with the shipping and gift reveal!! Way to go as he is gaining more leadership responsibility. 

Phoenixmom - I am the Chief's fan. Actually hubby is, but I root for them as well. The other night though, I was not sure who I wanted to win though, because the Bills are my youngest's favorite team.

YES - the X seems to have disappeared again. I will let B'sNukeMom know. 

MyKidsMom - I your son still at BC or has he graduated? I am not in the PIR groups, so I don't keep up as well unless I see you posting? 

Chipmunk - My SR is still at BC, with about a week left assuming no surprises. 

We got a call tonight!  Hooyah!

Hugabugs:  THAT’S AWESOME!!!  So happy you got a call!!

He says he is in Div. 417, USS Arizona and they "killed" on their Static Inspection, scoring 4.83 out of 5.00 and the RDCs are really happy with them. He said the RDCs treat the ASMO'd guys like assets telling the other recruits they are missing out if they don't take advantage of asking them for advice and pick their brains about the tests. During live fire stuff at the range, the RDCs put them in the back room loading magazines and let them put music on. He said it was pretty fun, actually. He said the PFA is Sat. and that he was really far off last time at 13:45 and he has gotten it down to 12:35 and he's really proud of that. He is confident he will pass on Saturday. If you all would send up a prayer, though, this mama would love it. I know I will be on pins and needles until I hear from him again.

Hugabugs -- Sooo happy that you heard from your SR!! I had just sent you a PM asking if you had any news. I will be praying for your son as he does his PFA!! I am hopeful that Shoosh sees your post and the comments that you are sharing about what the RDC think of those who for various reasons are being sent back to new divisions. 

MyKidsMom - All the best to your SR as well!! I was thinking yours should be getting close!! 

Anti M-- I am so very sorry!!! It is never easy to lose a beloved furbaby!!! They are more than mere pets, they are family!

Shanny-- Glad he was able to connect with his High School friend and So glad you are feeling better!! It’s amazing how such a seemingly small thing can make you feel so awful!!

Hugabugs-- YES!! Phone calls are Awesome-- Yes they are an asset. It’s great that he’s doing so much better now!! I know it is hard to get ASMO’d but sometimes they just needed that extra time and they sail through.

I'm off to bed early tonight.  I have been falling asleep just trying to read through these emails.  My legs/feet hurt b/c I was running errands all day and I found a real cute pair of Short boots but they have NO cushion so now I'm shot.  Night all!!  See you in the morning!

Shanny - Cousins plays for the Minnesota Vikings. Signed a huge contract a couple years ago. He is struggling a bit this year though.

Anti M - I am sorry about the loss of your kitty. I too lost my favorite kitty at 17 but for the opposite reason. I was afraid of having dental cleans because he had a heart murmur. So then he got a cavity that abscessed and turned into bone cancer. Left me wishing I had done the dental maintenance. There is no right answer or crystal ball but I can tell you that your kitty did not suffer like mine did. Prayers for your sad heart. 

Shanny - Im glad you’re son was able to reconnect with your friend. Also glad your sinuses and headache are improving. Not sure if you saw my post about Flonase. It has prevented many sinus infections for me. I don’t even travel without it. 

maternauta - love FaceTime!!! I have an awesome photo my niece took. It is a selfie of her and I talking to my son on FaceTime. The pure joy on all our faces it so evident. I’ll post it on my page. 

Belovedbyhim- I’m really enjoying this book and I’ll definitely be looking into her new release.

Well this Morning here in Phoenix there were many accidents. For some time now we have been having people get onto the freeway wrong/going the wrong way for some reason. I just don't know how you manage but Ok. The thing is many of lives have been taken because of this, and ADOT cannot find the problem or try to figure out what we should do about this. It's just heartbreaking for those families who have lost loved ones due to this. so I am sending Prayers to all the families who have lost loved ones including today this morning.

Dear Lord,

I ask that you Please keep and carry these precious people in their sadness and loss. Cover them with your great wings of love, give their weary hearts rest and their minds sound sleep. Lord, lift their eyes so that they may catch a glimpse of eternity, and be comforted by the promise of heaven. In Your Name I Pray Amen!

PhoenixMom, thank you for your prayers this morning, sending to my Dad if you don't mind he is having a rough time of things. He said my Mom is everywhere in that house in Florida. He opened her closet and could smell her perfume everywhere. It is so sad to see him aching so and not to be there for him.

I have a cousin who is in prison because she took the wrong way ramp in Florida and killed a man. You would think that they could come up with something that is cost efficient and gets peoples attention, they usually have one small sign that says wrong way or do not enter, apparently that is not enough. Maybe they could use tire spikes that only rupture your tires if you go the wrong way or bright reflective signs that catch your eye in stead of the plain yellow and black ones. It is not only a shame for the victims but the ones who have to live with the fact they took another ones life. Really we need more inventive people to solve this.

ADOT was asking People to write in about what things they could do and I wrote just that, about the Spikes like you mentioned and I guess it didn't get anywhere. I thought that would be a good Idea put a sensor and then the spikes would come up and flat the tire they couldn't get very far or at least I wouldn't think so.

I have a sailor! Just got off the phone. Very quick because it is before the march. Poor phone connection. Sounded tired - of course!
Dropped to the #4 div as 9 failed the PFA - so they lost their Athletic Flag and today someone decided to not shave and couldn't talk quietly so they got a demerit.

So I was sorting out old boxes and found this...  so how long has my kid been Navy?  Since he was very little and playing with this!  Now he watches the Blue Angels fly multiple times a day every day!  

Congratulations AmaMarina and LadyBluefire!!!  I usually do my best to log off when I am not on the site, but I had to dash out the door and forgot. I come back to see new sailors!! And Shanny's wonderful airplane picture. I love to watch the airplanes when they come to town.
