thank you, that shawl has been in my mind for 8 years. And as we made it - it would change its image. vic and I knew when a change was happening - the sewing machine would knot the seams. And if I were pinning - the pin would break. So it was team work to finish it. But Lisa was so surprised and pleased. That made all teh work worth it. Thank you for sharing my joy.
Wait is that a Pink Flamingo tree? OMG !!!!
I have to do this next year!!! How many flamingoes?
I have read every post on this site for over 10 years.
I love you ladies and I have a prayer request. My oldest is my sailor and he is deploying this week. My youngest son has brain cancer and it looks like their regrowth. Scary stuff.
Happy New Year to you, Kim! Please know that I am praying for both of your sons, as well as lifting you up! Hang in there sweet lady, and know that we loved by many "Pan Moms", and we are here for you.
Things in the South are well for the moment. I almost hesitate to say this, as I sure don't want to "jinx it", but it looks like we have my Mom's house sold! Yes, I am doing a happy dance. If all goes as planned we will close next Friday. This will for sure take a load off of me.
I also have more news... our daughter got engaged while home for Christmas. She is so happy and we are so excited and happy for them both. He is a really nice guy and he treats her like she is a queen, which makes this Mom so happy. I have always prayed for someone that would love her and respect her. We feel so blessed. She will be flying home in Feb. to shop for a dress even though it looks like the wedding will be in March, 2021.
They are predicting really strong storms with wind, rain and possible tornadoes this weekend for us. Not looking forward to this all. Sure hope they miss it.
About packages and letters. Your sailor should be sending you an address. That is where you will send ALL items too. And go to the post office and get APO - FPO boxes. Those boxes look small - but they hold alot! Stuff all you can!
Keep us posted. hugs
Well Miss - finally!
So good to see you. Will do that happy dance with you when you post - House Sold! Got my fingers - toes and any thing else I can cross so not Jinx comes your way.
And engaged !!!!! Wonderful - please share my congratulations for her. Yes, Plannign for a wedding is a year long journey. ENJOY and share some of the fun.
Will get back on and chat - got to get ready for chase those cub scouts hugs
Been very busy as always. Didn't get back from VA until the 5th. a lot of delays.....STRESS! Good and Bad that's all I can say. Military (Navy) way.
Work of course is the usual crazy! Came back had to catch-up 3 weeks of weeklies and deposits, month-ends and year-ends times 4! 3 weeks of mail, insurance billing, patient billing....and the office has been over ran with new patients, Lots to do! And in a couple weeks, I'll be get insurance payments for all those visits! Job security. LOL
3rd day we were home husband's 70 year old single sister(who watches our house and dogs for us) fell down her basement steps and laid there for 16 hours! Pulled herself up the steps and into the house....broke the ball of her hip and fractured the femur. A full 2 days before she had surgery, because how long she laid, getting her to nearest hospital, then taken to bigger hospital for surgery....getting approval from Medicare and finding an ambulance service that took Medicare! 2 days later back in our local hospital (1/2 hour away) in a swing bed and doing therapy. So we've been taking care of her cat (can't bring to my house), her house and an older lady she takes care of! Still can't find her keys! We are trying to clean and rearrange her house so when she gets home..... Then Tue. a great aunt passed away, we never did get over to see her (guilt). So haven't been home this week before 9pm either and tonight starts calling hours....I work till 6pm tonight and back in at 7:30 tomorrow morning. And I still have food to make. Yicks!
All you ladies and your military are always in my thoughts and Prayers.
Still busy with those Cub Scouts. But thank you Blondie - yes it keeps us young. Plus, its fun teasing the Boss. Especially, I trained him for Tiger Cub Den Leader way back a while. Ok - a real way back. I didn't have any gray.
AS we all can read - Blondie - you out do the Energizer Bunny. Girl - share where you get that energy. We all here could use a pick me up.
Now, I am sharing that Blackberry Moonshine is great!!!! Yes, real Moonshine and no I did not go in the back hills to get it. Its sold in the liquid store now. Called Ole Smokey Tennessee Moonshine! Hubby likes the Peach. Comes in mason jars. And we purchased the Dill Pickle Moonshine too. Ok - I hear you all laughing. As soon as I remember how to get a picture on -I will share that picture! Haven't cracked it open yet - can't figure out what food it will go with.
Blondie - gentle hugs. Goddess bless you - you have such a caring heart. Hope all goes well for that poor lady who broke her hip. But please give your self some Me Time - you count too.
Hey Pan Moms - send out hugs to Blondie. Just seeing those words - can be such a support and best of all - that we care.
T-Lynn, I understand, we have kids that went through our Youth Group that are now Youth Ministers themselves! Very rewarding and fun to watch.
where do I get my energy? well, to be truthful I see it waning. I usually give my grandmothers and family work ethics credit. We don't know how to stop or say no. Good and bad in this. Our motto is God, Family and Community. Community can be neighbors, school, church, town, state, country, military.....if there are Kids or Veterans involved we are There! If I'm Needed, I'll find the energy. I feed off of others energy in good times. My Husband says, I'm there and in charge until someone else takes charge, such as get them to a hospital, firefighters show up etc.
We eat only what we raise, go the natural way whenever possible, no chemicals in my house, I clean the old fashion way. Some say the hard way I say the better way. I don't like doctors. LOL So we eat balance variety of foods, stay away from all drugs(when possible) and I seek and find help when I need it! And that is why I come here, I feel the support and love we share with each other here.
And YES, I drink moonshine. Love the blackberry! I prefer the made at home version, alcohol content better. We also make our own wines.... I love peaches (fresh of the tree) but not a fan of them any other way. Spoiled I guess.
I'm glad you found some you and hubby like, takes the edge off. We drink the pickle juice off our pickles but in moonshine? hmmm maybe with shredded chicken sandwiches? Let us know how it tastes. Hint, the mason jars make great glasses.
Thank you for the gentle hugs, Gentle being the key. Teresa (SIL) only stayed in rehab 5 days! She went home with another brother and SIL. Very thankful, of course we offered but I would have had to give up my downstairs bedroom and figured out a complete new schedule to get her to her therapy.... They are retired and live in a 1 story house so worked out Wonderful! But another SIL had knee surgery and a BIL had a reversal shoulder surgery. Life is crazy here! Let me just say these are all my husbands family. LOL mine has already had all the shoulder, knee, hip and ankle replacements, LOL
thanks for all the positive thoughts and hugs. baby Joseph just showed up at work!!!! gonna be a FUN weekend, My girls always knows what I need,
Shredded chicken - now I have ideas to have the pickled moonshine.
Oh yes - drink the pickle juice. Me too. I teach that to my Cub Scouts for Summer Day camp. They thought I was crazy. But when I explained all the great energy and especially the needed salt - if one has been out in that sun too long - it got them asking more questions.
Then I went shopping - and found individual packages of pickle juice to drink. I had a good laugh. I am really happy though - some friends took us to a farm - where the owner decided to open up a bakery in her garage. Well, ther was more than just tasty bakes goods - home made jams and pickles !!!!! Oh did I pig out and yes, drank some juice,. Promise - let you know how that moonshine taste.
But you - Promise - have some me time. Hugs Blondie.
Ok - come on fellow Moms. - time to get on here and say hey! Or do I need to do roll call again?
A few pics of my son. He is leaving Japan for Hawaii this year. He tried to get near home, but went to his birthplace instead! I've been trying to take him there for many years but now he can go on the gov't dime and he can have time to explore! He got dive certified so he'll have a fabulous time. and...we can still get over more easily than Japan!
Other big news is my daughter had a surprise wedding at her New Year's Eve party! She seems very happy and her new husband is very nice. (There first was bad news, so she said when you have a bad one, you know what a good one is.) They met in September!!!
Oldest grandson graduates HS in May, youngest, his brother, will be 2 at that time! No empty nest there, but they are well and happy too.
My mom moved into an assisted living apartment and seems content. Selling her home to divvy up what she has as she has seen too many families fight at the end. I told her to take the funds and go on a world cruise, but she won't.
Life is good, work is stable and I'm enjoying all I can. I follow but do not post much, love hearing all of your stories. Take care of yourselves, so we can continue to care for all the others we talk about!
Surprise New Years' Eve WEDDING - How WONDERFUL!!!! pictures?
Sounds like your Mom is doing what she wants. Good for her! But maybe she could go see your son in Hawaii, maybe you and her...?????
My SIL was going to Hawaii for a hot second, now it looks like England! I'm EXCITED for them and Tahlia will have a New Cute accent. but for me :( But this too could change. Navy's way...wait and see.
T-Lynn, we played cards Sunday and had a pot lock supper for his sister with the new hip. After the kids and Joseph went home of course. Tue. night I stayed home did laundry... then took a long soak in a epsom salt and baking soda bath. today and tomorrow Crazy and long days at work. But friday a half a day, planning on going to the library then home to soak and read. sat. and sun. have my SIL but hoping to just sit around chatting, time will tell.
Chris -thank you for sharing . Beautiful pictures. congrats on the dive certificate and Hawaii. Aloha!!!!
I agree with Blondie - you and your mom going to Hawaii. And naturally - we all here want pictures.
Blessing to your daughter. And again agree with Blondie - pictures? ( Yes, we are nosey - but loving )
Well, finally- Blondie is making some Me Time. Now we all see it in writing - NOW she has to keep it! So Blondie - how about a pic of you in the tub soaking and reading ? A little wine on the side would be good too. Then we know you kept your Me Time. ( Yes - kidding and giggling. But we here have done some fun strange things)
Wish al a great weekend.
I am about to be totally involved in meetings and Cub Scouts for next three Saturdays. I have marked the calendar that the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd - ITS ALL MINE !!!
Here are some pics form the surprise wedding! Her dad and I, before we went adn with the bride and groom. She actually didn't recognize me when we arrived with my wig on! lol. the top two photos show some of the dresses adn decorations, and my daughter in the green dress with fur stole. This is what she was wearing when everyone arrived. About 9p she sent everyone out back to do sparklers, and changed into her wedding dress and they popped out under the decorated pergola to be married! The 4th pic are her best friends, who helped plan and actually marry them, in the photo booth set up. She had fireworks, a ton of food and a loop audio and video playing of songs and pics that guests had sent to her.
T-Lynn, we had my SIL (with the new hip) again this weekend. But very relaxing. we played cards with a niece and nephew which she loved cause she has no children (never married). We took her to Church, to get her prescriptions, shopping, out to eat....
Just HAD to share new pictures. Joseph is 6 months old!
Agree - Joseph is a BIG HIT ! Look at those smiling eyes. Just want to hug him.
Me too, like Blondie's feelings. Chris - those are great photos of the wedding. how mush fun and love.
I am in the final days of Blue and Gold - it is this Saturday. tomorrow evening I pack the car up and sleep in a bit to be rested for the day. Yes, i know I am kidding - got to two grandkids living with us. - they get UP early. Ok - when I get back I will take a nap.
All I can say - that Blue and Gold is over. It was fun for the scouts - but it was a total mess of miss communications - things not working - and not enough helpers. But it is done - and the Scouts had fun. Usually when a Blue and Gold like this - the next three are awesome.
So thank you Blondie for the extra energy - it was greatly appreciated. hugs
Glad it's over for you. I know they take a lot of planning and no guarantees! We always had to worry about weather! When do you do the box car derby? The IMPORTANT things is they had FUN!!!! Now rest up and take some ME time.
Sounds like my work days LOL at the end I can only say Thank God it's over and we all survived!
Its over. Pinewood Derby Workshop is over !!!!! Now on March 14th is the Pinewood Derby. And I will be learning how to inspect the cars, so they meet rules. But I am making darn sure that they boys will have a chance to make any corrections. So now Vic will be planning the "Correction Area" for those cars.
But at least my three BIG weekends are over. this coming weekend will be ALL ME !! I turn 65 on Sunday the 23rd.So the only plans are eating - movies - beading - CAKE - what ever else I can think of for me.
Has anyone heard form their sailors? I have not for a while, so fingers crossed I will soon.
Wish all a great weekend.
Oh , I have thought of something I would like for my birthday - My Gossip Tank is low ladies. Check in and say hi and share some gossip !! But mostly check in. hugs
Happy Late Birthday, T-Lynn! I started a post the day you posted that wanted gossip for your birthday. I was interrupted at work, imagine that! I hope you had wonderful day and enjoyed lots of cake! LOL! Here goes my gossip....We spent the weekend of Valentine's Day, shopping for a wedding dress. Our daughter flew into Nashville, and we met her there along with her future in-laws. We all had dinner together, and then the next day, her future mother-in law, myself and hubby went wedding dress shopping with C. She found a dress at the first shop, but went on to the second appt., she looked and tried on several, then she wanted to go back to the first shop and bought the dress. We headed South so she could visit with family. She spent Sat. visiting and then hanging out at the house, and Sunday we drove her back to Nashville with the wedding dress vacuumed sealed and tucked nicely in a carry on bag, so she could take it back to Phoenix. They are getting married in Phoenix next April (2021). She has the venue booked, and now the dress. She is my kid that has never been a procrastinator. My son....not so much. LOL!
Hubby and son are busy working on a bass boat. They bought a used one and the boat is fine, however the motor, not so much. So hubby and son are rebuilding a motor. (hubby did this at the job he retired from). They are having a ball (most of the time) working on it. I don't know when they will ever get to fish with it. We are getting pounded with rain.
Over the weekend there was a high school fishing tournament close to here. Sunday night 2 15 year old boys and a Father (chaperone) were reported missing. Still not sure what happened but there is footage of the boat with them going through the flood gates at the Dam. The boat has been found, but still searching for the 3. This has just really upset me. I just feel so for the families, all of the school (faculty and friends) they were from, and the rescue people looking for them. I am continually praying for all. Please pray with me for this. They were not from here, actually from Northwest Tennessee, but it still so sad, and you know it has to be so hard for all involved.
On another note, we did get Mom's house sold and that part is finally done. Was bittersweet, but I am so happy for the couple that bought it. She sends me pictures of the updates they are doing, and asked me to please come by when she gets it all done and see it. I told her I would be most happy to. It needed updating, so I am happy they are making it their own.
Got to get back to work. Hope everyone is doing well.
Thank you Miss !!! Loved hearing all the fun of the wedding dress shopping. Glad she has her venue too. Yes, what is about boys doing things at the last minute.
Bass Boat. I remember my dad wanting one. sounds like fun - well those two building it. I am not a fishing person.
Yes, I will add my positive hopes. By now I feel you know .
Gentle hugs.
Yippee its sold! Not to sound mean. I do know both feelings - all the work to prepare and get it ready and then all the memories. Its like a see saw. Up one moment and then down in the dumps. How nice the new couple wants to share how it will be a home again.
You take care and thank you for the gossip. Love every word hugs
It takes a while to catch up on 2 months of posts. Prayer for all and the missing family.
My deployed sailor will be making a port visit this week. I was worried with the current virus. I am not sure of which one I had last week, but it was intense. On the mend now.
My youngest got married (justice of peace) on the 21st. Wedding will still be in Mexico next year, but she is here on work visa and they wanted to get her switched to permanent resident. She just got her teacher certification for Maryland. I guess I had better work on my Spanish. He started his new chemo on the 24th. All is good and we return April 30th for next MRI. Keep your fingers crossed.
My middle son is getting married December 2021. My youngest said they are planning for fall of 2021 and my sailor said they are married 10 years in 2021. They eloped from Japan to San Diego and want to renew vows and have a reception in the fall of 2021. The other 2 are having weddings out of the country and sailor needs permission to travel there. I told them to work it out and let me know where and when I have to be there. I can get away with only 1 dress!
I can't believe it has been 9 years since sailors wedding. That was during when the tsunami hit Japan. This group has been around for a long time.
You guys are the best! I have never been part of a group that cares, and responds, so quickly and genuinely. My son will be leaving Japan in April after three years of exploring so much of the country. He is satisfied and ready to find the next adventure. He was able to visit Korea for the olympics with one of his good friends (saw the gold medal hockey game!), meet and practice with a master kimchi maker, and enjoy trying on Korean outfits with locals. He visited New Zealand and Australia (before the fires), went to India and Okinawa. We were able to visit (earlier posts with pics) so he climbed Mt Fuji with his dad and cherry blossoms with me and his sister. His next assignment is HI where he was born, and although it wasn't his first choice, I'm glad he'l be able to get the chance to really explore those Islands for more than a two week vacation would allow. He is now SCUBA certified, so that will make HI even more enjoyable...and still give me another vacation, or two!
I appreciate all y'all (that's the plural) for your concern for everyone in the group and the support you give. May God bless everyone's families and give them what they need.
Happy Belated Birthday T-Lynn! Hope is was Everything you dreamed of.
Miss, So Excited for you and your girl!!! So Much Fun planning and preparing. A Great Father/Son project, I'm sure they'll have many years of Enjoyment together. Glad you finally got your Mom's house sold, Bitter/Sweet I'm sure.
Kim Beautiful couple! Sounds like 2021 will be busy for you. But how Exciting and Lots of Travel!!!!
Chris, my daughter did much of the same as your son, Lots of traveling, exploring and learning while in Japan. So Exciting for them, Wow who would have thought?! Sounds like HI is a Great fit also. Congrats!
Life here is the usual chaos. Winter and Spring are still fighting over the calendar. Work as always is my Biggest Problem. It's become a RACE to get new server before this one dies! The mother board is blowing something new Everyday. It started with my back up not being able to complete. No one seemed as Concerned as me. Of course not I'm the one who will have to re-input any lost data. :(
I told Boss Lady 6 weeks ago, got a price for her and everything, Too much money she said and proceeded to re-decorate our exam room! paint, accent wall, new desk and cart....$$$$ But no money for me to but computers? When I got down to 69% backed-up I threw a FIT! (You'd all be PROUD of me) She had a painter in to give her an estimate to re-do the office! He!! NO. She paid for a CPR class, free to anyone in community, our office personal was Required. So wait I give up 3 hours of my evening, my precious half day off....It hit the fan. Everyone knew where I stood. Other resident doctor stood with me and said she'd leave and open a business up next door and take all our pts. I said, Take me with you PLEASE! Boss's jaw hit the floor we've been together for 30 years! Nutritionist said if I left she would too..... My Server was ordered. Was suppose to be here yesterday. Truck problem stuck in PA. UGGG was gonna do it yesterday as we close Tue. at noonish. ( boss said , Oh good I forgot, I can't stay this afternoon. WHAT???) So he hoped to have it last night when could we put it in? Has to be after hours obviously. Boss can't tonight Church. (You can't miss 1 wed. what if you or your kids were sick, would you miss?). Thur. night? Girls basketball game. (What? I realize we're State bound BUT she has all boys). Friday night? Nope, School Musical (which neither of her boys are in But my nephew is lead again!) Sat. afternoon as we close at noonish? Nope family in from out of town. AND before we could ask, next week was full. So I take it upon myself to say, I'll stay tomorrow (tonight) after work. boss says, I hate for you to have to stay. (which means she doesn't want to pay me. She doesn't pay overtime so what's the harm? a couple 3 hours???? I have no words.
Sailor's deployments got extended. Not a shock but they are suppose to be changing commands and moving to England later this year. The plan was he'd be home for 6 months, be gone on TDA 3 months of that time plus training/school and have 30 days leave. Time line is shrinking, he'll be home 2 weeks then gone, home maybe 10 days then gone....So Reality not home at all. His at home/deployment ratio was already double what it should have been but with his specialty they allowed it...His daughter is not gonna know him at all!!! So daughter (veteran) got a house inspection, hired a realtor, has been getting estimates…. bless her heart she is SO Stressed out and I'm feeling....Lots of things. He'll miss his daughter's 3rd birthday, they're 5th anniversary, (he's been home for 1). Tahlia told me last night Nana and Papa here for my birthday, I said yes we were last year, she replied and you sang happy birthday to me! and clapped. Ohh how I love her! We had not planned going thinking Joe would be there.... Hubby will be losing this job soon, every Friday we wait for them to tell us, this is the last paycheck. :( We were planning on going when Joe got back, so they could take a couple days for their anniversary or later in the year so Papa could help Joe with house repairs.
As MUCH as I'd Like to walk away from my job and go help daughter, with Hubby's job up in the air and 2 more years to pay on the house...2 more years for Medicare... we are stuck here. From this point of view Life SUCKS!
HI All,
Well, Blondie - back to racing that Energizer Bunny.
By the way - the bunny gave up - You Win.
Blondie I was cheering - out loud - you bet proud of you !!!!! wish I could have been there to hear you let your Boss have it! You rock girl friend.
Gentle hugs Blondie - know that feeling of hubby and job situation. I have a feeling something good is coming your way. So hang on - and if you feel a hug - its me.
Chris - congrats to your sailor. SCUBA in HI. Now that is awesome. And yes, you do need to have a couple of trips to HI to see him. And we do try here to be for each other. I know it looks like a bunch of words - but you can feel the hugs with each one.
Hi Kim !!!!!!!
What a beautiful couple and wow - 2021 - is your jack pot of travel and fun. Now, we all know you are being so good with budgets - one dress. But you have to have some different accessories Have to make each wedding a bit unique. At least different nail colors - shoes/scandals - jewelry pieces. I see a Pink Flamingo! By the way - flamingos go with everything. And yes - all here have fingers/toes crossed and many prayers for a positive result for your son. Hugs
Well, I need to split - scout stuff is calling to be finished. Tonight - gathering items to teach Geology
Talk soon all hugs
I have wrote two letters/message to you. But neither one will send. Sorry, got yours. Will try again later or just snail mail you. Gentle hugs and Reiki energy for the next 7 days. for you and son.
Hugs
thanks T-Lynn felt/heard you behind me cheering me on. Appreciate the Hug also.
Last wed. boss decided to have IT come in over noon hour and set up new server (too cheap to pay me to stay after hours) I told her Wait! I have to do a new/good back-up and it takes over an hour. she asked, Why didn't it save this mornings data? (YEP I did a head swing too) Had to explain TWICE before she got it the difference of saving and back-up! what about the afternoon patients? we can put them in Friday (she doesn't work Thursdays) What???
Short story; took us 3 days, our IT guys, Our IT guy talking to program's IT team... Couldn't copy the hard drive because it died while I was doing my last back-up! Thur. afternoon finally had windows 10 and the program on the new hard drive but the 2 would not talk, windows10 would not read the program. Took our program's IT Team all night Thur. and Friday morning till 1:pm to get me up and running. I was at lunch, BUT they leave on Fridays at 1;00 (lucky them) so they called my IT guy, Documentation (doctors half of program ) was up and running but PM ( my billing part) was not. They left a L-o-n-g voice mail and sent a web address for me to go on and fix ALL my work stations. IT guy text me while I was driving back to work. UGGG Once again I took that bull by the horns and I finished what they could not!
Took me Friday afternoon and Sat. morning to get Wed. and Friday's patients in. I also managed to get 2nd doctor's money in Saturday morning so they both got paid for last week. Sunday afternoon 2nd Doctor came in and input patient data from Thurs. I told her I'd come in Monday early and do them and I did (was NOT giving up my Sunday!) So, Mon. and Tue. I played catch-up on mail and direct deposits, re-connecting to Medicare, and all major insurance companies.... I still haven't billed patients or insurance companies for last weeks patients, It'll wait till Friday and I'll just do 2 weeks. (I don't care). I've had different stages of a Migraine since last Wed. and the stress and Weather has my fibromyalgia stirred up!
I think I deserve a Vacation! they didn't argue about me going to daughter's for Tahlia's b-day or Easter. But home life, bills....
this stupid virus! Shutting down all our schools (State University included). Traveling banns, Even effecting our Military!!
BIG HUGS Blondie !!!!
But so glad to see that you stood your ground. Sorry thought it still took so much effort and energy of yours to get it al correct. Yes, that doc owes you a totally paid vacation!
Have to honest - I started giggling a bit while ready. If you read it out loud - it starts to sound like an old comedy routine. like "who's on First?" As I stated - so happy you GOT it all correct.
Happy to hear that you will be going to her birthday. But I have not been watching TV. Didn't realize things were being shut down here. I heard about Italy - but guess I better pay attention for here.
Hey, need to get along. I am behind on typing minutes for a meeting , a club roster and naturally the never ending Cub Scout stuff. Its Pinewood Derby this Saturday.
Oh forgot. Blondie , there was a news about Italy. Some wine factory got their plumbing all mixed up. So the town folk got wine coming out their kitchen faucets! I thought about you. you once posted a picture of wine coming out of the faucets. Gee - the one time you so needed to be in Italy. Just think of all the FREE bottles you could have filled up!
Hello Pan Moms. Checking in to say that we are all doing fine here.
My sailor is deployed in the Pacific. They had a port visit in Vietnam 2 weeks ago, but all port visits are now cancelled and I guess they are in the safest place on the planet right now. His wife stuck by herself with their 5 year old. Not sure which has it tougher.
My youngest is back on chemo. Not immuno-supressed. He is at home with full pay. He lives in a house with 3 guys that work in construction. I don't like the risk there. The owner of the house is trying to sell it and there have been many showings. I told him to put a sign on the door. "All sick with fever, do not enter". The governor of his state (Maryland) shut down all non-essential businesses tonight. I hope that means selling and showing houses. He got married last month and is supposed to move into a new apartment next week. Not sure if moving is non-essential.
These are all minor problems compared to others issues. But, I would welcome anyone with advice or experience on these issues.
Please check in everyone and let us know if you are OK or need any help. This is what we are here for.
Way to go Kim!! I don't understand Stupid people, and I don't tolerate them well.
We will not be visiting anyone. :(
We are well, Hubby is laid off. We are on Stay at home orders here in Ohio. Only essential businesses open, We being Medical are Open. I clean the whole office morning, noon and night. Dr.'s rooms after each patient....signs up etc... I KNOW all about Stupid people!
Hello all Navy Moms. Hoping all of you are well, and avoiding COVID 19! My family and I are all okay as of now. It is all around us here in MS, but not yet in our County. I fully expect a report stating that is has reached us any day. I am trying my best to clean, clean, and clean some more. I am still working everyday. Apparently, attorneys are essential. Ha! I do try to wipe down the door when someone leaves the office and wipe down the counter where documents are signed along with the pens. I like it when they bring their own! LOL!
My daughter in Phoenix is still working too, she does work a couple of days from home. Hubby and son fish every day they can. We are doing some more remodeling at home. Always something going on at my house. We did go fishing yesterday afternoon rather than working. I have to say I did enjoy just being out on the lake, and we were definitely "social distancing".
The worse part for this for me has been that I cannot visit my Mother. I talk to her several times a day by phone, but she would love to see us and I would love to be able to see her, but know that this is the best thing for her and all the residents. I just try to stay positive when I am talking to her and tell her we will see her when all of this is over.
Oh, and we had a small town just South of us that got hit by a tornado Tuesday night. It was where I graduated from high school, so I do know a lot of the people. There was no injuries or lives lost just lots of damage. Talked to my nephew a few minutes ago. My brother operates a tree trimming business and he has had his equipment down there clearing roads and helping anyone that needs help since Tuesday after it hit. This is the 2nd tornado to hit them since January. Giving more bad weather for us Saturday night.
Praying all of you along with your families are well.
I am retired, and can't drive, so staying home has been easy. In Utah, our cases are shooting up daily, two deaths now. My friend who takes me on errands and I are distancing, I am at risk, as are her parents. Her husband works on base, and his friend is always at their home. A little scary. They closed the base so no commissary runs. I get my groceries delivered via Instacart.
So far - knock on wood - no illness here. Just allergies and cutting teeth and someone trying to learn to walk. Problem is - she forgot to start with standing and balancing. She just tries to take off and walk because she WANTS too.
Understand the feeling of not seeing love ones in a nursing home. Phone calls are the best right now.But my hubby has both parents at their home he has to go to see. Yes, I am worried when he goes, at least his sister does go too to check on them.
But there was a scare there. Sister nLaw's hubby a while back when back to his home land to live. Phillipines. He came back for a visit - he got sick - real sick. then sister n law got sick. this was before any news of that virus. But what she said of the symptoms - either they had a bad case of the flu or they had that virus. No way to know. OH - those two are just fine. And his parents never came down with anything except a cold.
Blondie I knew you would be on the front lines. I know you are cleaning plus, but how I would love to hear you talk to stupid people. I know its just plain ole heart to heart language with rolling pin on the side. Keep safe.
Miss and Kim - always got to hear you two. I am not sending out cards or letters right now. Miss that. SO here is the only place to reach some. Have not been able to feel some of you. I believe its the fear out their blocking my antennas. But I am sending out Reiki Healing Energy to all. Even to some Healing spells.
And I need some Navy Mom group spirit.
Girl friend living in Chicago burb - her daughter's boy friend - hospitalized yesterday. He has the virus. Last night doing ok - but today he is worst. Her daughter is isolating in the upstairs. tonight I am trying to have a group prayers - Rieki Healing - positive vibes - what ever one can share around 9 PM. Group energy is better than one. If you can join in at that time . FOR all of us to receive hope - healing - not being alone. And if you can - mention the boy's name aloud for extra positive vibes. His name is Terrance.
And thanks
My Me Time is done. Getting call in by family for 'whats for dinner?" Hugs all
TLynn, is that 9:00 p.m. ET or CT? I will join in. My youngest sons good friend was hospitalized yesterday, he has asthma and not doing well. His name is Nick. Any other names?
So glad I can reach you here. Now my mail has a Gremlin!.
Yes tonight CT. I hope that is not too late for you and others. If this is too late for you - but still want to send out healing energy - prayers - just let me know what time and I will ask for my positive thoughts to be added to yours. It will form a chain that hols tight.
And Yes, Having the name of the person is needed. It helps to direct the Reiki Energy to that person. I will add Nick to my list.
I plan on doing Reiki Long Distance Healing for the next 7 days. When the Full Moon arrives April 7, I will start again on the sessions.
Prayers - Positive thinking - even making a wish for someone all adds to the Healing.
so I will check on later - share the time you will be giving a moment to think of others in need - if you have a name - share it with me. And I will add theirs to the list I have.
Kim will try to reach you soon. Son will try to get my computer or comcast to let me in my email!
A tornado came through - about 28 miles from my home. WE got strong winds that ripped out teh base of the American Flag from our deck. And later found a small leak in the southern basement wall. Not big, but we will be getting that fixed.
Between Oregon adn Stillman Valley, IL - that EF-1 tornado touched down. I have not heard of any injuries or deaths. Just building damages and power outages.
Remember I was was going to do the healing circle at 9 PM my time? Well, I had just finished two session, when those sirens went off. So I quickly closed and got a few things and family got to the safe area of our basement. WE were there about 45 minutes. then al clear. Strong winds and heavy down pour. Emma loved it! Riker was busy on his tablet.
Hope everyone else had good weather.
but Blondie and those east of Northern IL - keep a watch, I think it still moving your way.
T-Lynn
HI
thank you, that shawl has been in my mind for 8 years.
Where did they find the white one?
Hey Kim - found a tree for us. thank Blondie!!!

Have a wonderful Friday and an awesome weekend.

Happy New Year y'all.
HUGS for now

HI
Me first - HUGS Blondie

LOL mine has already had all the shoulder, knee, hip and ankle replacements, LOL
thanks for all the positive thoughts and hugs. baby Joseph just showed up at work!!!! gonna be a FUN weekend, My girls always knows what I need,
hugs too all

HI
Just check in to let us know how you are.
take care all hugs

All I can say - that Blue and Gold is over. It was fun for the scouts - but it was a total mess of miss communications - things not working - and not enough helpers. But it is done - and the Scouts had fun. Usually when a Blue and Gold like this - the next three are awesome.
So thank you Blondie for the extra energy - it was greatly appreciated. hugs

hi
But mostly check in. hugs

Mississippi Mom

Hello all. I loved the gossip and pictures.

Chris - congrats to your sailor. SCUBA in HI. Now that is awesome. And yes, you do need to have a couple of trips to HI to see him. And we do try here to be for each other. I know it looks like a bunch of words - but you can feel the hugs with each one.

Last wed. boss decided to have IT come in over noon hour and set up new server (too cheap to pay me to stay after hours) I told her Wait!
Life is Hard.
Navy Mom Strong. Hugs to all

Wish all a great week - hugs

Mississippi Mom

Roll going I see!
Ok I am here!

Kim,
So glad I can reach you here.
Take care hugs

HI all,
Last night we had some weather !
Hope everyone else had good weather.
but Blondie and those east of Northern IL - keep a watch, I think it still moving your way.
hugs
