So good to see you here. How is Angel? Taken any more great nature pictures? Would love to see some of them. And any stories about Angel.
Shark is trying to figure to come out and walk about or stay under her blanket and be warm. Its starts to be Spring and then we get snow. I think my heating bill will be higher this month than February!
Hey - just check in and say HI. Just wanting to make sure we are all doing the best we can. Hugs all
Miss, glad all are safe there. We do have 5 cases in our county and numerous in surrounding counties, (I live where 4 counties come together). Our doctor's have patients from all over OH and MI. So far my kids are fine, at least 1 in each couple are working from home But still even 1 going out buts the whole household at risk. My youngest son (with kidney disease) has been tested, it was negative but he works with high risk people every day! So we have seen no one, just hubby and me. We drop food off on my Dad's front porch and he complains I'm NOT contagious! So we repeatedly tell him no but WE might be, we're protecting you!! It's so hard. We face time grand kids, even have Tahlia saying bye, I LOVE you and throwing kisses. Warms my heart. Joseph is still too young, he tries to look behind the phone for us, LOL He does Hug the phone all I see is his shirt but it's a start :)
T-Lynn, I'm just glad people can't hear my thoughts! I've had to tell a few people to Step Back, Take a Seat Over There....we have a system and they MUST follow. I quiz on the phone first, before making them an appointment and explain our system. Come in the front, all doors are propped open, you exit out the back. (Our hallway is not 6 feet wide) any reschedules or payments are done when you first enter or by phone or mail. Older people who need assistance or at risked patients are scheduled early morning, over lunch or after hours. I run a tight ship. with a smile of course. Drivers are asked to wait in the car. If things get worse or people cannot follow my simple rules we will make everyone wait in their cars and call them in one at a time. Period! Yes, we've had some bad weather but Thankful all is well. Keeps my hubby busy cleaning up yard but now we're flooded ! :(
SO GLAD to see Everyone checking in, THANK YOU!
Adding my Positive Thoughts and Prayers. Gentle HUGS to all.
Still inside, but today I ventured out onto the deck. What beautiful fresh air. Plus, Riker and I saw a Robin digging for a worm and then started to gathering nesting materials and fly into a tree next to the house. He is excited. Plus, two hugs bunnies int eh back yard!!! They were doing their hopping practice as Riker said. But they moved out of sight fast when those 2 hawks flew over. Emma thinks she can walk - but left out standing and balancing in the order of things. But she too - is blowing kisses - does hugs and head rub. That is new.
Blondie - love your tight ship! Sounds like you have it under control Admiral.
Maggs - always good to see you. I cannot image what you feel - just know we love you here and enjoy you checking in. And seeing your photos you take. Gentle hugs
My sailor is on the USS Roosevelt. So much that I cannot post, but he is in a hotel in Guam and his 2 brothers where here tonight as we where able to connect.
He has 2 weeks of video games in front of him and he told his brothers that "He has trained for this" LOL.
Kim, I'll keep you and your family in my Thoughts and Prayers. Love your Sailor's attitude, He's got this! Probably sounds like a vacation to him. Glad you all got to connect.
My youngest son (kidney disease and Connor's dad) informed us last night he is moving back home for now. He's been working in 2 different hospitals (2 different towns and counties), besides his stand alone dialysis clinic. We live between all of them and he doesn't want to put anyone else at risk. He worked 2 shifts yesterday(different hospitals) spent the night at Hospital (for emergencies) and is working 1st shift this morning. I have no idea when he sleeps! I worry about him because his health is not the best. (a Mother always worries). So trying to train Husband(in a crash course) proper guidelines, Not fun! We're gonna have a sit down later today
Kidding, fingers crossed all goes well for your youngest. He has his hands full. But he needs to remember himself. gentel hugs
KIm, wow - well trained for those video games. That takes practice.
I remember my sailor enjoying video games. Especially any game dealing with Star Trek. He even got kick out of a game! He accidentally shot his own ships in the game. Just three times. So the game kick him out! And no- he could not get back in that game.
But I am glad he is safe.
Gentle hugs.
Oh, gee looks like rain again. Even the temp just dropped. going to have to close the windows.
Know this weekend is busy for all. Getting ready for the Bunny to arrive and attend ones faith by video will be new - but hey - we all are still together. And just think about the BIG Hug party that will take place when we can all get together again. So Happy Easter All.
The bunny emailed requesting we have the colored eggs ready. That way he can just hop through - masked - and get them hid.
Also, Grand daughter will turn 1 this Tuesday. And she is doing her best to walk! Her brother is enjoying having school at home more and more. BUt not being told - NO - you cannot go out. NO Park either.
WE are stuck inside - WEATHER !
Yesterday it snowed a bit! And this week - back down to being cold. Thankfully, the birds are singing away and building nest.
I have not taken many photographs, Angel sleeps in Hubbies chair, I am sorting out and boxing things, I have also decided to make the spare room into the office. It will take a while as I am doing it all myself. Little bits at a time, and I will win this race.
I was fortunate to take food a to a friend, who is also isolated. We spent Easter together. I already miss the company.
we video chatted with our kids and grand kids. Not the same but good "seeing" them!
Haven't seen much of youngest son, he works day shift in his clinic, then afternoon shift at hospital and then spends some nights at hospital to cover emergencies. His clinic is 1 of 3 in Ohio who are scheduled to see Coronavirus patients. Lucky him, lucky us.!!!
T-Lynn we're having same weather as you, it Sucks! We had ice storms and snow storms, rain and flooding with high winds last week. Today still high wind warnings....Old man winter will not give up, Spring is trying. Sounds like a fun weekend for you
Maggs, you've got this, 1 day at a time. Sounds like you're making progress. We're Cheering for ya!! I'm sure your friend Enjoyed the time also.
Helloooo! It has been FOREVER since I posted but I have been reading posts. On September 9, 2019, I missed the bottom step in my townhouse bopping down the stairs to go to work (as a dental hygienist) at 0510. I ended up shattering/breaking the left femur and fibula. I did call 911 and 3 really good looking firefighters came, put me in the ambulance to the hospital. Long story short, I had surgery where a plate and 9 screws were placed and my Corpsman son came home for 10 days to get me settled with home health, etc. He was also the one to initiate cleaning the garage. I have lived in this place 16 years so he remembers really well when we moved in. He brought me a box to go through saying that it was in the same place it had been placed 16 years ago and did I really need what was in it? HAHA! I was off work for 10 weeks because I could put no weight on the leg at all. Well....7 months later I am walking normally (kinda miraculous according to the orthopedic surgeon). I went back to work part-time end of December than full time in January until....March 19 when the Oregon Dental Association recommended we close except for emergency patients. Soooo....I am home, dealing with Oregon's schizophrenic weather! We have a saying here, if you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes...I had HAIL and sun at the same time! Did some cleaning for sure and I am taking continuing education webinars but it's been a roller coaster ride.
However....good news! My son finished his Bachelor's in Health Sciences and will apply for the Enlisted Medical Program on the recommendation of his CO next year and....he and my amazing daughter-in-law are expecting my first grandchild in November. So exciting and yet....kinda strange not being able to go visit. I totally understand the need for staying home, don't get me wrong.
Not sure if I posted awhile back that while my son was in Okinawa, he completed his FMF Corpsman requirements. So proud of him.
I read posts and my heart, love and prayers go out to all of you. Maggs, you have been in my heart so much.
My cats, Tupac and Shelby, are not entirely happy with me home all the time. No one is getting to climb on the countertops while I am here and I seem to be taking up a spot on THEIR sofa. Who knew?
Missing not being able to audition for my community theater between the broken leg and the quarantine. We have kept in touch knowing this too, shall pass (as Mom used to say).
Navy Strong Indeed!
Hugs to all of you and know, even if I am not posting, I am here sending love, hugs and prayers.
Dramasoul, I have missed your posts and enjoyed your current post. Seriously The bottom step did all that! We are all old and doomed! Congrats to your son. Thanks for checking in.
Maggs, Huggs. I am headed your way the end of the month for my son with brain cancer. Coffee?
My sailor is on the USS Roosevelt. He has had pneumonia every year for the last 3 years. This mom is very, very worried.
Meanwhile, he has not received my package from the 1st week of March, but he had a great cake today from the USO. The USO Guam has been fantastic. I give every year to the USO. I am not sure who to call to arrange donations through the USO Guam. They can use masks.
I haven't checked in in forever. Nothing much going on, staying in, trying to keep up with the house and garden. Had to cancel my spring trip to Boston, but best to be safe. Nothing is open anyway, which is good.
Hey All !!!! How wonderful to see you here. I made some Me Time and jump on to chat.
DramaSoul ! OH wow. I am now realizing your name of Drama. And her I thought it was because you were on the stage. ANd 16 years You have NOT looked in a box!! Well, now you have to get back here and share if you kept anything. But sure enjoyed reading your post. Please keep us in the loop how you are doing.
M, I forgot all about your trip to Boston. I was thinking Burn. Well, maybe when this virus has left you can go to Boston.
Kim - fingers crossed all goes well for your visit with son and maybe a chance of coffee with Maggs !!! Share a hug for all of please. And I will re-enforce that protection sphere around your son on the USS Roosevelt. You didn't say how you are? Check in please.
Blondie, I know your family can feel your hugs even though you video chat. It must be hard for you - you are a hugger. Wishing positive thoughts for you son who works those long shifts and now going to help the C-19 patients .
Here, my grandson is now reacting that he cannot return to school. That he is stuck at home with Yaya and Yaya is teh teacher. Butting heads a bit - but then he tells me school si fun.
Grand daughter - thinks she can walk. Bumps on her head tell otherwise. But this is not stopping her. She is going to walk! I just cringe each time she lets go.
Otherwise, I stay in. Only outside on the driveway to play with grand kids or the back yard.
Son purchased something called Hulu. OH wow all the channels and great movies.
Struggling along here. Working every day but Tue and Sun. these masks make me over heat and having trouble breathing. It's Allergy season in Ohio! Very cold and windy, frost/freeze and snow warnings up. Yikes!
My great nephew Tyler passed early Sunday morning (not virus) he's the one that was born with very little brain(didn't develop), didn't expect him to live a day, week, month he made it to 2 and 1/2 years! he could only open and close his eyes, had multi seizers a day.....It's a blessing but he'll be missed. They are allowing us visitation and funeral but 6 ft. distancing. Good Luck with that!
My grandson Connor's little half brother Nolan was life flighted Sunday night to Children's hospital. seizers his mom and him both popped for drugs at delivery.....it's been a long road there too. So Connor was dropped at his other grandmother's house (not a safe house if ya all remember). We're sick with worry, we have to prove we are all "safe" because of our jobs....and the stay at home order. This is a nightmare!
Tahlia did call me Sunday and told me call her on computer and hung up. LOL took me awhile to get skype figured out again, they had to send me a code.....She answered "You're late. What took so-o-o Long?" She is a card. She's my smiles right now. She wanted to see me bigger was her reason for Skype. They called me yesterday on my day off and she wouldn't let mommy hang, every time we tried to say good-bye she'd scream and cry and throw a fit, .No-No-NO! We tried 3 times! Finally we ate supper together and she refused a bath so I told her I had to go shower cause I had to work today. it worked. But I got a text from daughter today, said. Tahlia says Nana & Papa are coming to read to me. umm I'd LOVE too!! Life never gets easier. :(
Hope you're all Healthy and hearing from your kids
Blondie - Gentle Hugs. I have no words. I read our message and have a big lump in my throat. I know you don't want any of us to cry for you. But this time, we could sniffle a bit together. Let a tear roll down a cheek. I said A tear - no crying. And all get a glass of wine and share a toast to good friends.
That is it Pam Moms !!!!
Saturday - May 9th 3 PM Central time ( I think that is 2 PM Eastern and Noon on the Western coast.)
Each one of us get a glass of wine - or what ever drink makes you happy! Hold it up and say something POSITIVE out loud. And drink it down and then hug yourself. But it would not be you are hugging - it's ALL of us here.
How about It? Every One ON Board ?!!!
Family of Freinds
"We ARE friends - who are not just freinds
But family that stay by each others side.
Others can't see us or hear us - But WE CAN!
WE are Navy Moms and we are here together for this long Emotional ride.
So hang on - this ride is getting bumpy and sometimes hurts.
But WE ARE a Family of Friends, and we WILL be alright.
Cheers
( I am having Blackberry Moonshine and Sprite! going to to be a very happy Saturday - get ready to feel the hugs!)
T-Lynn et al: Reisling for me!! (at 4 ET so no one misses out, lol) Sat is my daughter's birthday, so I'll be toasting more than one positive moment.
My heart goes out to all. As a nurse doing some testing here in FL, do not consider myself a hero. It is my job, and I'm tired of being lied to by Faucci (sp?). I believe the docs who are willing to speak out with real scientific evidence. I do believe their lives may be in danger. BUT, I prayerfully reach out to each of you to stay healthy and strong. A tear, or two or three can get you through, relieve some tension and give us the strength to keep moving forward.
My son has a new date to come home, hope it lasts.
We are Navy Moms for a reason, Navy strong because if it.
I have no words to explain what you all mean to me. I read your opening paragraph and a tear did slide down then I read on and bawled like a baby! But it's okay now, I'm under control, just needed a Good cry I guess. I went back and read my post, I never said BUT Saturday is the visitations (2-6) ! I will definitely be toasting !!! And forgive me but after 6 it's game on. I'd Never admit this to anyone else but I'm So TIRED of being the strong one (for both our families and extended families) . I think some members realize that when I pick up the bottle I'm exhausted and have had Enuff and that's where I am.
I will be so Thankful to know and feel you guys there beside me and I will be the one sending the Biggest, Tightest, Longest HUGS.
Secret: My worse nightmare is my Navy family will be flying off to England without me getting to see them and Hug them tight. We were gonna spend most this year with them and make lots of memories..... And Joe isn't even home yet. We have no idea if or when he will be home. So when I think of my daughter and granddaughter all alone going through this Its breaks my heart. Than I get Really MAD that she just didn't come when I told her too. Which isn't fair at all. That is when Tahlia broke her clavicle and needed to be where her doctors were, But us Mom's are allowed to be unreasonable sometimes Right?
Okay, since I'm at work and Doctors/Patients will be coming soon I better mob my face up and get it together.
I agree with you. I'm getting flack from family who lives in NY and are respiratory therapist I'm sorry for what they are going through but we have a different reality, not the virus but the cure is killing us! My Dad, Brother and Brother-in-law are waiting on live saving medical (my brother heart surgery) treatment..... dying a little each day, Little Tyler, Nolan.....It's hard to watch, why couldn't they close 1 hospital for Corona Virus pts. (like my son's dialysis clinic.) and keep the other Hospitals open???? Our domestic violence, child abuse, additions etc. are rising alarmingly!
getting off my high horse. Sorry. But it got me mad instead of sad :)
We are listening and I believe higher officials are opening their ears too!
So Thank You ladies for all you do and Navy Mom Strong we ARE !!!
Blondie - right with you. I have had enough too. Except I eat chocolate. I so need to take stock in Hersey's or some other chocolate stock. I be rich, by paying myself! and happy.
Fingers crossed you will see your family before they leave to England. And Chris wish your daughter happy birthday too.
Well, I have a good feeling that others will be joining us this Saturday. I went on fb and posted there too. Several Navy Moms are there and I wanted them to join in. One suggested we do ZOOM. not to sure what it is, but i will look it up and see what happens. We can share a picture of each of with our drink and hugging . But the point is - we are coming together.
Blondie, I did not mention any names too. I just said that some of us Navy Moms were driving a very bumpy road and a hug party was needed.
Need to get along - I need to sleep. Forget that beauty rest, I need sleep! 5:30 AM comes fast and I have to prepare for lessons with Grandson.
Blondie, It is a blessing that Tyler was able to bond with his family and hopefully they had time to let go. I am sure you are all missing him. Prayers for Tyler. I think those PCS orders will be on hold for a while. I hear you, my youngest is at risk to lose his health insurance and his chemo (still in trials) would never be approved by medicare but costs $28,000. a month.
3:00 pm Central is 4pm Eastern, 2 pm Mountain and 1pm Pacific. I have it in my phone to remind. My youngest is visiting middle son by us for birthday. We are celebrating Saturday, but I will include you all.
Happy Birthday to your daughter Chris. my sons was on the 7th.
I am sorry, but I missed all weekend happenings. Blondie, I am so sorry for your loss. Lots of prayers for you sweet lady, and his precious family. I am in total agreement with you with this virus thing. I just learned this weekend that a long time family friend passed away while waiting for a pacemaker. Apparently that is considered an elective surgery! This makes me so angry!
Kim, I am praying for your son, and also for all things to come together regarding insurance, so that your sons' needs will be met. Praying for you as well.
We are now going on 9 weeks that we have not seen my Mom other than through the window. All of us except one brother went and visited with her Sunday. We all take lawn chairs and our umbrellas (to block the sun) and just line up in front of her window. We had a really good visit with her. We call her and we all talk to her. If one of picks up our phone to get a picture of her she starts waving and smiling. I am so thankful that we can at least do this. I don't see them lifting this anytime soon. I am so thankful and grateful to all of those sweet girls who are taking such good care of her. When I got home Sunday afternoon, I just fell apart. I was missing not getting to see my daughter and not getting to really see my Mom and hug her, and it hit me hard. My oldest sister called me and she was having a hard time as well. She did not get to see any of her boys. She was sad too, about not getting to do something special for Mom, and we both cried together, until we both finally agreed that we still are very blessed. I told her there is a big world out there that would trade problems with us in a minute.
All of you stay safe, and hopefully soon, things will get back to some sort of normal. I am very happy that I am finally getting a haircut on Thursday! I was past due for a haircut when our salons closed. I know the owners and stylist are happy to be working again.
Still inside too. Stating to be stir crazy, until I have to chase my two grand kids. Then I am plenty busy. I now take a nap with the grand kids!
Kim - please keep us posted on how things go for you son. Sorry, I must have missed a message, I thought the insurance was in the bag.
Miss - gentle hugs. I ma happy you can see your Mom - even though it is through a glass window - I know you are a hugger s this time is hard on you. Hopefully soon this will be over.
I believe when it is - there will be so much hugging happening
Well, I am just happy I was able to think of a new password. YOu guessed it - I had to make another password for here.
Just stopping in for a second. Life is Crazy busy here at work! Everyone is back to work( massage and Nutritionist) and trying to make up for lost time .
It finally quit raining for a few hours, got our lawn mowed and bailed Sat/Sun. Mowed again yesterday and had to bail it again! Spongy but no standing water. Hot and Humid! Had to turn the air condition on.
Finally got to see Joseph!!!! I stood back as they took him out of the car seat , gave him some room.(It had been 3 months to the day) David was holding him and said who is that and Bless his heart he said Nana! first I heard him say it. the tears flowed. Joseph reached out and touched my cheek I said Nana LOVES you and he jumped into my arms! Oh the miracle of Love!
Navy Joe finally made it home also. So lots of face time and Celebrating. He's quarantined, not sure if he'll go back out or reschedule his training and proceed to England. But we're making plans to go out the end of next month.
Blondie - YIppee doing the Happy Dance ! Oh so very happy for you and thank you for sharing - it made my day. My heart leap when he said : Nana.
You have the air on - we have the heat! After the rain passed through for the second time - a cold front came in. who would believe this! Well, can't mow yet - so I guess we will be bailing soon too. Fingers crossed you get to travel and see them.
Here just crazy. Sorry got to get - Grandson is having a overnight. so he and Papa are picking out a movie and snacks.
Hi all, I have been lurking, avoiding people, and this Covid thing. Sailor is now in the reserves, and is waiting for his second baby to be born. A little girl this time. I missed my first grandbaby as I was at my Mothers funeral, missed second, and sailors first, as Dave was not doing well (died 3 weeks later), and now this COVID is making me miss the third!
Sorry Maggs. It just not fair. I know it is said - things happen in threes - but this is enough. So fingers crossed - that after these 3 events - nothing but good things come your way. Keep taking your pictures - you are a great photographer. I still believe a nature magazine would love your photos
And if you have to keep in the background until you are ready to jump back in the water and chat more. The important thing - stay - we love you hugs
Maggs, things are changing hang in there! gentle Hugs.
I have proceeded to see Joseph Every weekend since! So much happening. They sold their condo and now are in contract for a new house!!! So exciting, 5 bedrooms and 2 baths split level. Amanda said, Mom you even have a living room down stairs and your own deck! I said mine? am I moving in? She said Sure, I"m okay with that, you'd have to ask Dave. Bahaha David said, well no one's sleeping on couches or floors anymore! I suggested they turn the downstairs into his recording studio, he records Audio books. And add another bathroom. Definitely need baby gates installed,
Plan is to leave in 9 days for VA!!! Tahlia said she'd drive half way to meet me if I wanted to come early. Gotta LOVE her enthusiasm! I asked her, when did you get your license. she just laughed and said Mommy will drive. Mommy said, you can stay here with Daddy I'll go get Nana. Tahlia pulled her eye brows together and gave her the meanest look. LOL
Youngest son is finished treating Covid pts. and is taking vacation so he can have his son. Eldest son, no news but assuming all is well and moving forward.
Only bad news I have is my health. Back/hips,legs are getting worse. Not a good time with all the yard/garden work and weather....I have too much to do! As it is I had to tell my son and sister-in-law to be sure and pick my red and black raspberries while we're gone. My neck and shoulder deterioration has been bother me again because of weather and work. Starting a new treatment, can't take these Migraines! My BP did jump back to the 170's but I've got it under control now that I can see those babies! Pain has a lot to do with it also, I think. My heart is beating strong so no worries there.
Oh and during a 2 day migraine and server pain I sent my husband to get my van's oil changed for our trip, he came back with a New Van! Noooo I have no Stress in my life. LOL
gotta get moving office is busy since we're closed on Tuesdays now. Hope You all have a Fantastic Day/Week.
Gee , that is a new one. Go for an oil change and have an entire new Van. Ok - we waiting. Color? Anything special things on it? So looking forward to your stories of our trip - have a GRAND time !!! I am hoping the minute you see Tahlia smiles - all your pains melt away. Hugs
Hey, can't believe the change in weather. Sitting here with windows and patio doors open! Cool/no humidity evening - beautiful clouds and birds singing. Treasuring each minute.
No gossip - sorry. Just home chasing the grandchildren - hubby is ironing and I am going ot sit out on the patio. Hugs all
My van is Silver with black and gray interior, some vinyl some fabric. all electronic!!! most people probably finds this normal but not me. So much easier moving my seat at a button in 3 different directions! And a lumbar support! It also comes with the computer screen, back up camera (so I don't have to turn around as much)But I do still twists too much but Habit and scary to trust a machine! We're old time/simple people. Only getting older. Electric start for colder weather, I can control all doors and hatch from my key pad so no more pulling or making sure doors are shut. Although I'm sure I will for awhile, Habit but a good one! Oh the radio has that Alert system...I forget what it's called. LOL I think that's everything, I'm still finding little hiding cubes. Who knows what else I'll find. the Best part it's the same model/make as my last one just Newer and equipped! It drives like my old one, lights, wipers everything in same place! Oh yeah, I control everything from the steering wheel so even as my back/legs fail me I will be able to drive for awhile. :) You know how I love my independence!
When Sailor called to wish hubby a Happy Father's day, Tahlia corrected her, Papa Day! She sure rules the house! When we tried to hang up I wanted to water my plants, She said, Nana you sit down with a ice pack or 2, I'll read to you! And 1 book wasn't enuff, I sat thru 3! LOL Can't wait to get my arms around them. Better yet, We "might" be bringing her back with us and maybe mommy too!!!!!! Our original plan was to spend all Summer together this covid thing got in our way :( Joe's Orders say, if both countries have the green light and his replacement is here they leave Mid-December. So gotta get all my hugs and lovin in!
Our weather has changed also much better although we are getting daily showers, so hard to mow, but when the sun comes out and that warm breeze! Doing a lot of front and back porch sittin.
Gotta run, office is full already. gonna be a busy one!
It sounds wonderful Blondie !! So very happy for you. It sounds fun and me too - old fashion - I be turning around to check things. But have FUN !!!!
How wonderful she read to you. I'm looking forward to all the stories of the trip. Also, so glad to hear that the weather is nicer. Here too - if I can sit I I do. But humidity was 100% today. That was strange. But it left. Now I have seen - there is a big storm to the west of us. It could be a mean one.
Hey - other Moms - check in. Need some gossip - my tank is low.
wow! has it really been a month?! It's been Very Busy here. We went to see our daughter and granddaughter, by the time we got there military was on lock down again. So many rules to follow. But we did get a lot done at the house. A complete new kitchen(cooking was fun-NOT!), deck/steps (boy was it HOT out), dry walling rooms, painted 3 bathrooms, floor..... Very tiring. LOL They ended up coming back with us. Poor Son-in-law still there with long hours and lots of responsibilities but at least he can go home now and sleep in his own bed. 3 of his "team" members have been dx. UGG Daughter is anxious to go back but I can't take time off work until Aug. 15th she was told this before leaving VA, lets just say it's Crazy here. But wouldn't want to be anywhere else!
Joseph turned 1 year old! How did that happen??? We went down the weekend before and took kids, following weekend for birthday party we went alone. Trying to control numbers (I hate this). Loved seeing them 2 weekends in a roll but tired of traveling!
Work is Crazy busy and 1 doctor and my part timer is on vacation this week. 3 times last week T went to bed before I got home and twice I missed lunch! This is not okay. They are here and I'm working all the time then all these trips south.....Now daughter is in a hurry to get back home. I Understand, they want to put the house on the market Sept. 1 if not before. And Joe is working along hours and weekends.... I say they wait until next year to move. LOL not sure military agrees. Bummer
Roll Call! Where is everyone and what is happening? Hoping all is well and everyone is Healthy and Happy.
hi ROLL CALL !!! I agree Blondie - ladies check in. Gossip tanks are low.
Here was busy week too.
My Hubby had his 67th birthday on the 28th and then on Thursday - we celebrated our 43rd Wedding Anniversary.
Out to dinner and no dishes !!!!!!!
Then this past weekend was the club's Semi-annual Meetings. So I just finished 3 sets of meeting minutes. gee, are my eyes blurry. Grandkids doing fine. running their Yaya here bone tired. Plus, we have had a bit of long high humid days. that can take the wind out of you too.
Otherwise, that is about it.
Blondie - you are giving the bees a bad name. They are suppose to busy. You make them look like they are standing still. Breath Girl Friend - BREATH!
Wish I had more to share. and I have to get pictures on here.
Sorry, that I keep forgetting and then I forget to give myself me-time.
For now, all is well in the South! We have been very blessed, during all of the pure craziness. Hubs and I both are still essential, and both of us have been crazy busy at work. I am so ready for a break. Our daughter is wanting us to come to Phoenix, as their numbers are beginning to decrease. I am ready. Just got to get time approved to be off from work. So far all of our family has avoided the virus. We got to visit Mom for 3 weeks, once a week and for 30 minutes. We of course had to maintain 6 ft. apart, wear mask and gloves and the visits were on the porch but at least we got that. We are now back to no visits except at the window. So far they have not had any one with the virus at the facility, so for that I am so thankful to all of the employees there, for going the extra mile to keep the residents safe as well as themselves.
We will be celebrating hubby's birthday this weekend. His Mom's is also this weekend.
T-Lynn, you need a lot of me time. You have been a busy lady!
Blondie, sounds like you are having a wonderful time with your daughter and granddaughter, but no rest!
Got to back to the major stacks of work that are waiting.
I need AntiM tp confirm, but I believe the name is muster! LOL.
I keep reading and not posting, so I will check in. First, I want to say that I am praying for everyone of you who is struggling with this virus. So many new heroes and so many new suffering. My father died last year at 94 and I see the blessing in that.
I went to San Diego for the homecoming of the USS Roosevelt. THAT was a deployment for history! My son was flown home early but it was the first we could go. Please pray for a 20 something girl that noticed a lump in her neck during deployment. When Covid hit the ship they decided to fly her to San Diego. Turned out to be cancer and aggresive. She was lucky because she was in chemo immediately.
My sailor could not even go to a store and everything was closed. Grandma was UNO'd out. I introduced my grandson to many board games. Before I came my son told me that he was having fits when he lost. Ha Ha. They thought I would let him win.....I was willing to play every hour of every day with him, but if he got upset when I won......"we have to take a time out because you are getting upset"... I think I cured him of that one and I got to win 70% of the time. LOL.
It is looking like my sailor will be going to Chicago next spring. Not sure, it has changed many times. But, I am doing the maps and making a dream drive when I retire. I may be hugging Blondie and T-Lynn in the future! How great would that be!
Maggs, you know I drive around you every 4 months for the rest of my other sons life. Covid has changed that to straight to Frederick,MD for online visits, but we visit your state often. It is time that we make this group jealous again by posting pictures of us being crazy together!
Hello Miss. so happy that you did get visits with your mom and very happy NO virus in her nursing home. Bless those workers. And Happy Birthday to your hubby and his mom!! sounds like a Party is going to happen. In my family, I am the only one NOT essential with outside work. As for now, my Scout Reach is not going until - Maybe - January. So I am home teaching Riker and babysitting both him and his sister. NOW -he has two little friends that come over. Just down a few house - and the parents got together first and talked . They felt it was safe - so 4 mornings out of the week I have two 6 years old - one 5 year old and 1 that is 1 year and 2 months - but thinks she is just as old as the others! When Emma's nap time comes around at 1 PM - Riker goes down to his friends home and I nap too!
HI !!!! Kim . So glad you made that trip to San Diego. And being there for your son. How funny - playing board games. I am trying to teach my Grandson board games - you know NO batteries. So far he will play a bit, but gets frustrated and will quit or like your Grandson - get upset that Grandma is winning. He is getting better. His little friend likes board games - so I am hoping that Riker will follow. You saw the fire? Yes, scary. Talking with Alex about that, he explained the reason the fire was so damaging - most of the crew was off the ship - only a skeleton crew left. But how happy he was that it was in port!
nrjherbhbdjdrjwjnls hjsdje yyeyxwjsuxyiuu
Sorry about that, Son came down to do laundry and I was holding Emma - That is her message to you all.
COME AND VISIT !!!!! Oh my Goodness! YES YES
Oh to give you a REAL hug!!! I know it will be a bit - BUT I think about it happening. Got to paint the kitchen now.
And yes, Sending Reiki to the young lady sailor. Glad they saw that lump.
Go for it Maggs !!!! Have a get together with Kim - just share pictures and share a hug for all of us too.
Need to get along - as I stated the Laundry Fairy is visiting - hubby just got home and I have some paper work to finish too.
I have to share this: On fb I found a funny. Did you all know that stressed spelled backwards is Desserts? Here was the solution to being stressed - eat DESSERTS !
So I started a Stressed Party. I am bringing - home made you know - a Buttermilk Cake with Sour Cream Coconut Icing and a German chocolate Cake with double icing! What you all bringing?
Now you all HAVE to check in. this will be fun. And give us all the needed hugs here. Thanks Kim, Miss and Blondie for checking in - honest made my day..
It’s been forever since I posted. Not sure if I mentioned the broken leg last September. Missed the bottom step in my townhouse coming downstairs on my way to getting off to work. Fully dressed in my scrubs, make-up on, going in early to get a backlog of charts done before seeing patients. I heard the crunch when I went down. Called 9-1-1 and said “I have fallen and can’t get up”. The cats just stared at me because their food dishes were empty. Really cute firefighters showed up to put me in the ambulance off to the hospital. Long story short, displaced fracture of the left femur and fracture of the fibula. Surgeon put 9 screws and plate to hold the femur together. Go big or go home! Corpsman was able to come for 10 days to help me get squared away for the 10 weeks of being home. “Geez Mom, you don’t have to break your leg for me to come visit!” All is well, started back full time January 1st. And then this pandemic thingy happened. Off work from mid- March to June 4th. Now working with full PPE. Hygienists are basically in the war zone! Patients are screened so I feel good about working and the efforts my bosses went to to make us compliant with protocols. The leg has healed fully. I have been walking several times a week up to 5 miles. BURIED THE LEAD.... I AM GONNA BE A GRANDMA! My Corpsman and my amazing DIL are expecting my first grandchild (a little boy) in mid-November! It’s not like I could drive there (opposite sides of the country) so I don’t know if I will get to see them this year.
I had hoped to audition for some plays this year but that’s all on hold.
Sending lots of love and light to all of you awesome Navy Moms, stay safe and well. Love to you!
Things are crazy. this darn virus... not worked since March, been busy fixing my deck. I am having an interesting time right now. I isolated my self for two weeks, and am visiting my sailors new baby. Sailor left the navy, and signed up for the reserves. He got his promotion, and more recognition. I have one more week here, then heading home.
Maggs! Congrats to your son!!! Also Enjoy that baby! Many Huggs
DramaSoul, Sorry about the break and surgery but had to Laugh at your story. Fallen and can't get up! Hah! Those darn cats, no help at all, always me, me, me! LOL AND Hot Firefighters! Then sailors' comment. Hooting here! But seriously sometimes it does take SOMETHING to get them home again. GLAD all is well now. Go Big and be STRONG! Congrats on the Grandson!!! Nothing like being a grandma. :)
Work...Ugg we stayed open through the whole thing and NOW they tell us we have to wear masks. All the extra cleaning and rethinking.... all our doors have been propped open, no sign ins, one way traffic....I'm exhausted at the end of the day, and that's saying A LOT for me!
T-Lynn, Love Emma's enthusiasm! Desserts, hmm, bad for my sugar don't eat alot....Key Lime Pie.
Wow Kim, a lot of excitement for you too> Prayers for the young lady. I Love board games too. Connor is into sports and gaming. Tahlia is too young, we've started tho. And Joseph just gives hugs and sloppy kisses. He's walking now!!!
Miis, Hope you make it to Phoenix soon! I have to go see my Dad soon, seen him once since we got back from VA.
I think I caught up, hope I didn't miss anyone (anything).
Work is busy as ever. Finally got all Practitioners back to work what a week! Yesterday, (Thur) Kim my part time help got back so I went home @ 4:30. Last Saturday after working, we drove daughter and Tahlia to Pittsburgh PA. so no rest for Nana. Tahlia has been struggling wanting daddy but not wanting to leave Nana. I have to work this weekend but then resting! trying to get my house back in order. sigh, it never ends, garden is ready....! 14th I'm only working 6 hours(half a day) and heading to Columbus to see Joseph, for the Whole Weekend, can't wait!!!!!
that's all for now, both doctors and 2 pts. in buildding.....
Maggs, you posted some pics of your deck. It will be grand when it is all done. And ENJOY yourself and collect all those Grand baby hugs!!! And all the best to your sailor!!! Congrats on his promotion. Good to hear form you. What's Angel up to?
Shark will have her 43rd Birthday August 11th. Funny how I got her age wrong. I know I had shared that she was older, but had to check some records and looks I need to re learn old math. Can't do that New Math stuff. Any way she will be 43 years old.
Hey Drama. So you haven't been on stage - BUT gee - do you keep that "Drama" in your life! Really -you said: " I have fallen and can't get up"? I can only think of that poor 911 operator - trying her/his best not to pee her/his pants laughing. Well at least you got cute Firemen rescue and sailor that was able to come home. Doing the Happy Dance for you - Grandma !!!!! fingers crossed that in November we see some pictures of you getting your first cuddles from your Grandson.
Blondie - I just have to find something with an Energizer Bunny bowing down to you. You are the Queen of Energy! do try to relax some. And have a great trip !
So enjoyed hearing from you all. this really has made me smile. Inside and out and I know others Ladies are feeling it too. Just check in all. Smiles and hugs to share.
Busy here with sports physicals, wellness checks for Bus drivers etc. Our office is very busy trying to keep people Healthy. And of course having trouble getting products, new rules coming out weekly, trying to stay caught up on them. Then Ins. changes.....I'm Exhausted when I go home. Thankfully my Husband has stepped up.
Garden is doing well for the weather we're having dry and hot! Freezing?canning zucchini, corn, tomatoes, peppers, onions....garlic is all dug and strung up drying we will have to get winter garlic planted soon. It Never ends! So far worst of the storms have stayed north or went around us. But we sure could use some rain. Which we'll probably get today through Sunday because we are taking Aunt Teresa down to see kids new house and Joseph, He's GROWING so fast!
Antifa came to our corner of the world, even our little towns. We were Locked and loaded. About 10 miles from our house! Sheriff and state patrol was called in. Locals came and blocked entrance into villages and towns. There was some car bumps.... When the men in Blue arrived we backed our line up to city limits, The Police told Antifia " You do not want to try to get into town, these citizens mean business" Well it's our land and livelihood! It was tense but they finally left after a couple hours of shouting and nastiness. Went back the way they came and damaged another village about 1/2 hour from us, we called ahead but they didn't rally fast enough they were in town, breaking windows and starting fires....Luckily no one was hurt (that I have heard off). So no one is safe, Big city or little villages. Trying to sway our vote? Ohio stands strong. Minutemen Unite.
Sorry, don't want to get political, just want you all to be aware. The danger is real. Our villages/towns are like 200- 1000 citizens. mostly farmers and ranchers. We just want to Peacefully survive.
Also A lot of human trafficking..... This World has gone crazy! Ya all be SAFE out there.
It has been a long time since I have commented. I really enjoy all the reports on how everyone is doing and send prayers for all of your trials. I am excited about all the Grandkids. This group has gotten me through worries and gave very helpful information. So thank you all.
I write today because Blondie's post about the riots is just too close to home. What is going on with this world? I am lifting everyone up in prayer and hoping we all stay safe.

HI Maggs!!!!

T-Lynn
HI all
Still inside, but today I ventured out onto the deck.
Gentle hugs
Take care

My sailor is on the USS Roosevelt. So much that I cannot post, but he is in a hotel in Guam and his 2 brothers where here tonight as we where able to connect.
He has 2 weeks of video games in front of him and he told his brothers that "He has trained for this" LOL.
Apr 3, 2020
Blondie
Apr 4, 2020
T-Lynn
HI
Blondie - does the sit down include wine or beer?
Kidding, fingers crossed all goes well for your youngest. He has his hands full. But he needs to remember himself. gentel hugs
KIm, wow - well trained for those video games. That takes practice.
I remember my sailor enjoying video games. Especially any game dealing with Star Trek. He even got kick out of a game! He accidentally shot his own ships in the game. Just three times. So the game kick him out! And no- he could not get back in that game.
But I am glad he is safe.
Gentle hugs.
Oh, gee looks like rain again. Even the temp just dropped. going to have to close the windows.
Wish all a good week hugs

HI All
Know this weekend is busy for all.
Wish all a wonderful happy Easter. hugs

Apr 13, 2020
Blondie
we video chatted with our kids and grand kids.

HUGS and Stay Healthy Ya'll

Kim

HI
Wish all to be safe . Love you all

Chris, Forever Ray's Proud Mom
Bless all of us-
Chris

Blondie
OH, Thank You!
Navy Mom Strong. Carry on.
HUGS, Love you all

Chris, Happy Birthday to your daughter!

HI
NO Blondie and Chris SAY IT OUT LOUD!
Sweet dreams all hugs

Stay Safe everyone!

Good morning to all Pan Moms!

HI

Hi All
Gee , that is a new one.

HI
It sounds wonderful Blondie !! So very happy for you. It sounds fun and me too - old fashion - I be turning around to check things. But have FUN !!!!
How wonderful she read to you. I'm looking forward to all the stories of the trip. Also, so glad to hear that the weather is nicer. Here too - if I can sit I I do. But humidity was 100% today. That was strange. But it left. Now I have seen - there is a big storm to the west of us. It could be a mean one.
Hey - other Moms - check in. Need some gossip - my tank is low.
wish everyone a wonderful evening and hugs

wow! has it really been a month?!
Hoping all is well and everyone is Healthy and Happy.

hi
ROLL CALL !!!
Take care all hugs
AND ROLL CALL Ladies !!!!

Good afternoon!
Take care and stay safe everyone!

I forgot to mention that while we were in San Diego, we saw the USS Bonhomme Richard on fire. Horrible.

Maggs, you know I drive around you every 4 months for the rest of my other sons life. Covid has changed that to straight to Frederick,MD for online visits, but we visit your state often. It is time that we make this group jealous again by posting pictures of us being crazy together!

HI !!!!!!!
Oh love the Check IN !!! Made my day.
Hello Miss. so happy that you did get visits with your mom and very happy NO virus in her nursing home.
Oh Laundry Fairy needs me - hugs

HELLO ALL!

I have to work this weekend but then resting! trying to get my house back in order. sigh, it never ends, garden is ready....! 14th I'm only working 6 hours(half a day) and heading to Columbus to see Joseph, for the Whole Weekend, can't wait!!!!!

Be it either at home or at school, I wish for this year to run smoothly and with joy.

I second that! Best wishes to all .
