    HI

I agree with you Miss, I too thought I was busy - but reading Blondie - I must be vacationing with you Miss.

Blondie you BETTER share how Christmas with ALL the family was !! Just tingling thinking about that joyful time !!!! Hugs

Both knees at the same time? !!! I think they only way that they will do both at once is IF he has strong thighs and calves muscles.  With all that your hubby does, I bet he will be a lucky one and both get done. but he will need some babying.

Here doing better.  Achilles Tendon is 85% healed.  But I still have to take things easy and slow.  Those two words do not go with taking care of two grandkids. I will not have both kids for the next 3 weeks.  Why? Grandson's class room is done for the 2021 year. Reason - Covid. No not my Grandson and he was tested and we are watching.  But someone in his class does have it or a family member. So I will be playing teacher - art director - gym teacher - AND all the other too.

    Wish me luck.

Hey, its late - I got to get.  wish you all a great week. And its great hearing from you. hugs

  • Mississippi Mom

T-Lynn, take care of that Achilles.  They tend to take their time in healing.  Sounds like you are wearing many hats with your grandchildren.  I am sure you having lots of fun.  Rest as often as you.

  • T-Lynn

    HI

Miss - rest. What is that again?  I had that doctor tell me to take it slow and easy.  When I told him about the 2 grandkids - he giggled! but still said: Slow and Easy.

I am now 95% healed.  I have a new exercise.  Cross right over left leg and then with BIG toe - write the alphabet. Both large and small letters. And I was told I could do this watching TV.

Haha - of late - walking and chewing gum has been hard!  So this writing with the big toe - working on it.  But it does gentle stretch the area needed.  I was told if I feel a pull - back off and rest. Remember Slow and Easy.

Finally all done with cards and gifts.  Now just coast to Christmas.

Hope you and the rest of the Moms are all ready and taking it Slow and Easy. Ok, I'll stop.

From my heart - Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

    Blessings:

    Mystery of the Past

    Inspiration in the Present

    Hope for the Future

Winter Solstice Blessing to my Firends

    Hugs

Aggiemom2020 posted a discussion up above regarding cell phone use in Sasebo.  Hopefully someone can help her out with this.  We used WhatsApp back in 2015 when my son deployed (but he was never in Japan).  I still here good things about the app.

  • DramaSoul

    Hi All,

No time to go into everything but I promise I will catch up soon. I wanted to repsond to the phone thing. We used WhatsApp when my son was deployed to Okinawa. He was there 6 months.

Wishin' you and your loved ones a Healthy Happy New Year full of Joy!

    Hugs to all!!

  • T-Lynn

    HI

Early wish of Happy New Year to all.

And I plan on toasting to our Pan Moms here too.

Anyone who wants to join in - raise a glass of what drink makes you happy - and say a wish for our navy moms.  I will do it on Saturday at Breakfast.

B'sNukeMoM  - Hi and welcome aboard. WE share alot here and give a much support as we can - even if we are miles away.  So feel free to ask - cry and even yell if you need . Honest - we all been there and we all listen well.  And send hugs too, that you can feel.

About the cell. When my sailor was there - both times.  He purchased a cell in Japan and put his USA cell on hold.  I think it was Sprint at the time that will stop the USA cell until your sailor or any military persons asks for it to be started up again. This way- with the Japan cell - no problems with fees and it worked out great.  Even live chats.

I think there is something in our discussion about cell phones. .Yes, its there, just click View All and you can scroll down and see all the discussions.

There is a discussion about :"If our sailors need a Pass Port."Answer: YES !!!!

So hope you find the answer you need.

    take care all

Hey, Roll Call ! check in - got to hear from you all. My gossip tank is low. Hugs

PS B'sNukeMoM - Roll Call is asking for the moms to get on and chat. And just seeing them makes you feel good. hugs

  • Blondie

Hope everyone had a Great Christmas!

Miss, I keep telling my husband the same thing! Get our bedroom and bath accessible BEFORE something happens.  Hope he gets it all done and has is surgery soon So He can recover quickly and Enjoy Life!

T-Lynn hope you're doing those toe writings and getting stronger. Thanks for the Blessing At Christmas and I'll Surely toast ya Sat. morning.

Crazy as ever here.  Busy end of the year stuff, closing accounts, everyone wants in 1 more time so insurance pays. After work today I have to post all Direct Deposits, so books and bank agree, do my weeklies, month-ends and Year ends(I finished 2 already, cause they're not working today, did them last night. These 11 and a half hours are killing me!) inventory (which I have started) ... Unless I want to work tomorrow or Sunday and I DON"T!   Kim's last day  is today so then I'm on my own again, still reaching out and interviewing best we can over Holidays it's hard.  They're waiting at the dooor for me to open, Wish me luck. LOL

Happy New Year, Be Safe. Navy Mom HUGS!

Hi T-Lynn - thanks for the response, but it was actually info for Aggiemom.  My son (and DIL) are actually veterans now and I'm one of the main admins on the N4M site.....so I see all the posts and try to guide everyone in the right direction (as much as I can lol!).  I appreciate the activity in all the groups and enjoy the info that is shared.  I'm learning new things all the time (and I've been around since 2012).

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year.  Here's hoping for a better 2022!

  • T-Lynn

    HI

OOPS - sorry. this only proves I NEED to see the eye doctor.

But glad you Checked In !

Hope the New Year is going well for all

    chat soon hugs

  • T-Lynn

    HI All

Hoping that 2022 is being nice to all. My has started out a bit of a bumpy ride. But have to share something funny.

DIL was giving granddaughter a bath Last night and they had a conversation:

Tessa: Did you go to the bus stop and get Riker today?

    Emma: Yes

    Tessa: How did it go?

    Emma: Not good.

    Tessa: Why?

    Emma: He came back.

Wow, and I thought she liked her brother.

  • Blondie

    Bahahaha, that's a coffee spewer!

Not been a good year. 2 pages of obits in our small village news paper in 1 week. (it comes out weekly). at lease 2-3 other weeks. Last 2 weeks we've(personally) had 5 funerals! All were Blessings but still hard to take all at once. 3 family and 2 close friends. from ages 58-91 years old.

Working full time because Kim quit to foster parent(got their 1st child last Sunday!). Okay, I always work full time but this is 6 days a week with no help or time for kids/grandkids, trying to do interviews...Finally hired someone last week, (Cindy)started her training Tue. But working 10-12 hours a day with shoveling snow before and after (home and work) then heading to funeral home or family homes, taking food, watching kids, cleaning, laundry.... is EXHAUSTING!  We are closed this Saturday, Doctor's family flying in... So I'm heading to Columbus Friday night.  Oh yeah and youngest son (Connor's Dad, with kidney disease) had oral surgery Tue. took all his teeth. Surgery is never easy for him... But we all made it through and I'm Going!   These -8 with wind chill -15 is not helping!!!!

Now my Granddaughter story. Got a text with picture at funeral home last night.(it was on silent) Made us all Smile and Laugh AND point to PAPA!  Tahlia asked Mommy to turn fireplace on, which she did. Then Tahlia proceeded to eat ice cream in front of it! Never too cold for Ice Cream!  That's her Papa :)

Well spent enough time typing, time to get this office going. Hope you all have a Fantastic Day.

  • Mississippi Mom

Good morning Pan Moms.  It has been a while since I have posted.  Life is sure busy.  I am ready for it to slow down just a little.   Since my last post way back, work has been crazy.  We are closed the week after Christmas, then when we get back after the 1st, we pay for that week.  We are all doing well and for that I am so thankful.   My aunt (my Mom's sister) passed away Sunday night.   She had been sick for quite a while, and her last week was not good at all.   My uncle has dementia and he knows one minute that she has passed, then he will start looking for her. It just breaks my heart.

My hubby will be having knee surgery next Monday, if all stays like it is right now with the hospital.   He will be having both of them replaced at the same time.  He will have to stay 1 or 2 nights in the hospital, since he is doing both of them.  Good new is that he has the shower he was working completed. I am so thankful he got that finished, not to mention, I am loving the shower.  I asked him if he will do ours upstairs when he is better.   He chuckled!  He demoed a kitchen yesterday, and as soon as he is better he will start new kitchen cabinets for it.  They have others that will do the drywall,  some re-wiring, and other things,  so it will be a few weeks before they will be needing cabinets.  My upstairs shower is way down on the list.

I hope you all are doing great!  Today is my daughter-in-law's birthday.   We are going to try to celebrate it tomorrow afternoon, if we can make it work with her work schedule.  It is crazy for her right now.  She is short handed and cannot get people to even apply.

Take care and stay safe everyone!

    Happy Ground Hog's Day!

  • T-Lynn

    HI !!!!!!

Oh thank you for checking in. I know many Pan moms just read and I know you enjoy and send hugs. But seeing words from you would be nice.  Now watch - a few will just type WORD. That's OK, I will love it!!!!

Some sailor news.  Looks like for now - my sailor will head back to Japan for his 3rd time. hey, I will be an official Pan mom again. Where - ?  Doing what - ?  Ok, Now you all know how much I know.

Blondie - OMG ! are you even breathing? All that going on and I can just see you leading the pack. We know here how you are tired, but we also know - not one of your kids know. You always come through for them. Gentle hugs for the loss of dear ones.   Oh, all his teeth? Sending healing vibes his way and let us know how he is doing please. And what a cutie - eating ice cream by the fire. She is right - ice cream is an every where and any time dessert. Hang in there Blondie - and have fun in Columbus. hugs

Miss - HI !!!! What a busy bee your hubby has been and both knees too?! Wow, but I am happy to hear he is getting those done.  That is what I need too. Shower sounds wonderful and now the kitchen.  Sorry for the lose of your Aunt and sending good vibes to your Uncle. Knowing your family he is having good loving care.  Hope the birthday party works out .

Here I will be happy when February is finished. There are at least 7 Cub Scout Events. Grand son joined a pack.  So you know that means the entire family joins too. Finishing touches are now being applies to the Pine Wood Derby Car. The Pack race is on the 26th. Blue and Gold Banquet is the 16th and right now he is at the Continuous Fire.  Not to mention Pack and Den meetings.  Then why is it all the doctors /dentists appointments happen for each one of us in February?  I think its a plot by the insurance companies to get it all done with. Also, I am helping out with a wedding at the Rock Run Long Rifles. That's a club where only black powder rifles/pistols can be shot. Well, one member asked to borrow the club for his wedding. And us ladies are helping with the decorating. I made the bouquet.  its a small #2 cast iron skillet with the handle covered in lace and flowers. You know the Husband controller.  Its both a bouquet and gift! The wedding couple are re-enactors so camping at these events is a must. Know they have another skillet! I thought it was a win win.

And somewhere in this month I have to celebrate my 67th birthday. My grandson said I have to make the Pink flamingo cake too. Let you all know how  it comes out.

Got to go - grandson just walked in back for the Continuous fire and has to share details.

    Hugs all

    HI

Blondie - you all in Ohio must be hogging all the snow. Here it melted - but a cold wind from the west is moving through.  And it cuts if you are out too long.  Hope you are having fun in Columbus!  Waiting to hear all about the trip.

Here - the wedding at the club was wonderful.  The young couple were so surprised and delighted with all the decorations. The groom even teared up.  And the bride loved the bouquet I made form the cast iron skillet.  She said it has a double use - cooking and husband controller.  Plus it only took 30 minutes to take down and put away all the decorations.  Now that is organized.  Gee, it only took nearly 4 hours to get it all up!  Now if only I can get that organized at home.

Need to split - it is play day here.  Two little friends of my grandkids are coming over. We will be making some Valentine crafts.

wish all a good week.  hugs

  • Blondie

Yeh, cold and wet here and that wind!

Last months visit was good. Joseph cried when they went to leave, Blondie Jr. couldn't handle it and gave him to Daddy and went to car. I finally told Daddy just go he'll be fine, I Promise!  He sat on the floor by himself. Us girls went to play room and Papa picked him up. I bet parents weren't to the end of the road and he was laughing and playing.  He woke early from his nap and Mommy went and got him, if she'd just left or let me get him it would have been fine.  I made sausage gravy for breakfast the next day and Blondie Jr. asked that we leave the left-overs. LOL

Been training at work some days are good and some are BAD.  :(  I keep telling her she needs more practice and telling myself she's new be Patient!  Doctor(boss) thinks she should know it all by now, it'll be 3 weeks tomorrow.  Just answering the phone is hard!  Each practitioner (4) has there own book, works different days and hours, sees different amounts of clients in an hour, charges.... Then there's product, who's stock? computer or paper?  which money bag???? They all work under their own tax ID #.  Both Doctor's are in same computer program because they share patients but you have to allocate the correct ins. company (for billing) and monies...It's not EASY!

This weekend, 1 doctor is out of country and the other is refereeing a basketball game. So I have it off!!!!  Back to Columbus I go, staying at Veteran's and T's this trip.  :)   Hoping to help her pack and spend some time with T.  Refresh.

Gotta run Nutritionist is here seeing client's already.

Hope everyone has a Great day

    NavyMom HUGS

    Happy Valentine's Day

  • Mississippi Mom

T-Lynn, you are one busy lady!  I am about to put you in the same category with Blondie.  I know you enjoy those grandchildren.   We still don't have any.  My hubby answers that we have 3 and they bark! LOL!

Blondie, hang in there girl, and yes get you some REFRESH time.  Just hang out with T, and I am sure that will do it.   You made my head spin with all of the stuff you have to keep up with at work, and then trying to train someone.  Bless your heart!

Update on hubby.....he is really doing good.   The therapists are just amazed at how well he is doing.  Today has been one week from the surgery.  They told him today that he can ditch his walker and use a cane.  I am going by to get him one on my way home.

Today is my first day back to work.  It has been totally crazy, but the good news is I have only an hour left.  It is always this way when I am off.

I hope you all are having a Happy Valentine's Day!

  • T-Lynn

    HI

So good to hear from you two.

Very happy to hear that the trainee has lasted 3 weeks Blondie - I think she is a keeper ! Now go have fun with T . Give her a hug from me and Miss please.

Yippee - your hubby is doing so well. Next you will be telling us - you both were out dancing and he can NOW really "cut a rug" !

    Good to hear good news.

Hey - dishwasher is in and it runs beautifully.  I am definitely spoiled.

Take care - We are to get bad weather here Wednesday night.  Hope it passes you all up  Hugs

  • Blondie

Miss so good to hear he is to a cane already!!  Glad to hear you're back to work, I know when you take a day off it takes a week to catch up. But that means he's Really doing okay and you feel comfortable leaving him That says a lot.

T-Lynn, I'm not too excited yet. Yes she's lasted this long but only 1 rough day for her, a Monday with everyone in, the rest I've sheltered her, only 2 practitioners at once, with both of us working. I haven't left her alone yet.  LOL She's still s-l-o-w but as you all Know I have 1 speed, Full steam ahead!  She doesn't multi-task and trouble remembering.... I keep telling myself she's new.  She is older then me, she retired 6 years ago, her husband has health problems so she Needs to get out and they Need the money.  I'm trying to go slow and understand I know it's not easy. Only time will tell.

Will give T lots of Hugs and cuddles while telling her she's Loved by many.  Packing them up and moving them again.  But having movers move the big stuff. :)  Veteran is still seeing physicians and changed jobs, now moving, looking for new daycare.... Still only getting half of his child support and he wants to lower it.  With her new job she's making more, he took a lower paying job....He's Always been a deadbeat dad (sorry but its true) even physically and emotionally.  I told her, she can't deal with it now if he wants it he should file!  Why should she ask for it to be lowered?!  To tell him, her plate is full and cup running over taking care of His child.  I think I'm at the end of my rope with understanding for him. ;(   He has enuff money to buy his live in girlfriend an engagement ring.... go out drinking all the time, be in expensive weddings... My son-in-law stalks his FB page. LOL

Ahh, a dishwasher, in my dreams. But thankfully both my girls have them so when I visit I get spoiled, cause I cook a lot!  YOU deserve to be spoiled.

Our bad weather started this morning at 3am, High winds and flooding, rain, rain and more rain coming turning to snow.... Just Praying it doesn't interfere with my weekend plans!  Husband says we better load her pod (for car) and moving totes (on wheels) up tonight to avoid some mud and who knows what.  We wrap them in tarps and drag from the barn to the driveway then load them up, we're experienced (LOL) we've done this many times for her and her sister, brothers, adopted/foster kids and neighbors!

Well better get moving here, they'll be knocking on my door soon, I'm alone today, feels like vacation. Bahaha  HUGS

  • T-Lynn

    HI

thank you - YES I love this spoiled with the dishwasher!

Fingers crossed for you blondie that your new worker will work out. At least she is staying and trying.

I do not understand why some dad's just can't be a dad. Blondie Jr deserves a King - she is and always will be a fine lady Queen.  Thanks for packing the hugs from me and Miss for Miss T.

Here we are having a roller coaster ride with the weather. For real - 50's one day and two days later Winter Squall Warnings and then today - 50's.  Gee- our Fall was not this much of a roller coaster.

Hey need to get along . Laundry fairy brought her cousin along and do I have laundry.

Have a great week all hugs

  • Blondie

Hi everyone, I come to you with some Great news.  WE are heading back to DC in May for the 50th anniversary of Dean's crash/death in Vietnam. Doesn't sound like great news as I type that but believe me it is. We've been trying to get all the Brothers and sisters(11) to go to DC like Forever.  My husband, kids and I have laid the wreaths and been apart of the Blue and Gold stars for a long time. We've done many family vacations there, Christmas, Cherry Festival etc, But Finally my husbands siblings are coming!!!  They need much healing.

  • Blondie

I just had to share with some one and you all have been Family for so long.....

  • T-Lynn

Blondie - so wonderful.  I have chills just thinking about you ALL together! It WILL be great and healing.

Some news about sailor - my sailor is going back to Japan. This could be late May - early June, or Navy Time . He was suppose to be there in September - BUT you know the Navy - its Their Time - not anyone else's time!  So I will be a Navy Pan Mom again.  Not Sasebo though - can't remember. Sorry

but he will be teaching this time!.  Let you know more when I know. u

    Have a good week hugs

  • Mississippi Mom

Blondie, this is absolutely great news!  I know this will be so special to all of the family, but especially to your husband.   I too, had chills when I was reading your post.   Thank you for taking the time to share this with us.

T-Lynn, please keep us posted on your Sailor.   Sounds like he is excited!

Not much going on with me, and I am good with that.   We had a beautiful weekend and I worked some in my yard, so that always makes me very happy.  We are back to cold and rain today, and suppose to be cooler all week.

Hubby is still doing really good with his knees.  We rode our bikes this weekend and also walked.  It has been a month today.  He also worked on our deck this weekend.  He is ready to get that completed.   I have to remind him that he got 2 new knees, but he is not the Six Million Dollar man! LOL!

  • Blondie

T-Lynn, Japan again!  How Exciting!! Yoko(?) something? that's where my daughter was. You know my memory!   Joe taught for 3 years in VA Beach wasn't as easy as you'd think. LOL  Of course you get out of it what you put into it.  Yes familiar with Navy time, NOT a fan.

Miss, sounds like Hubby is doing Fantastic, Good for him!  But you're correct slow and easy. a Month!  How time flies.  Glad you had some Fun time together.

I'm SO Jealous of you. LOL  We're still having ice/snow then rain and flooding and then ice/snow....every 2 days it changes. And Windy, Very Cold and Damp.  I'd love to think we could get in the yard or garden. Tree limbs down from ice storm, 1 of our Big Pines (old Christmas tree). so Lots of work just have to wait on Mother Nature and Father Time to agree on something.

I'm leaving Cindy alone for the 1st time Saturday (open-close).  We are getting out of town!  A little romantic get-away since our 40th anniversary was ruined.  Hoping I don't regret it but sometimes you have to take care of yourself.  Fireplace, in suite hot tub, our own heated swimming pool and sauna too! Private garage...(Belamere Suites)

Our local school girls basketball team is going to State.  So office closed Friday,(I'll work half a day with massage therapist.)  Which translates to Busy next couple of days!  They're waiting on me to open the door. So good-bye for now.

  • Mississippi Mom

Yay Blondie!  I hope your weekend is way above your expectations!  I look forward to hearing how great it was.   Go, enjoy, and get some rest!!!!!

Good luck to your girls basketball team at State!  We have 2 high schools in our County, one in the North and one in the South .  Both of our schools girls high school basketball teams went to State and played for the championship.  Unfortunately neither one won, but that is okay.   Belmont (South) goes almost every year.  They were State Champions last year.   Tishomingo County (North), were there for the first time since 1998.  So it was a big deal for these girls!  We were proud of both teams.

Our pretty weather came to end, but I sure enjoyed it while it lasted.   We have snow in the forecast for the weekend, but I sure hope they are wrong and we miss it .  It is suppose to be really cold, down to 23!  The high for Friday is 72 then fall to 23, we will be in thermal shock!

  • Kim

Blondie that trip to Washington sounds great.  Take lots of pictures.  You are busy as always.

TLynn, those grandkids keep you young.  So excited for your sailor.  Let us know where he ends up.  My sailor is taking his family to Japan probably Christmas.  It has been tough for his wife with covid and cancer.  I am happy for them but my youngest son informed my they are going to Mexico this year to be with her family.  I have 1 son left that lives 9 doors down.  He is staying put.

Miss, I am so glad hubby is doing well.  Both knees!

My News.  My dil is finished her cancer treatments and hair is growing nicely.  My sons HUMS orders are officially over and he had to pick from 'hot orders' for his shore duty.  We figured he would end up in Chicago but ....  He is going to Rhode Island teaching at OCS.  The same time zone, 5 hours drive or an easy Amtrak ride.

  • T-Lynn

    HI !!!!!!

A second honeymoon for Blondie !!! Oh I got chills reading the news !  And I really feel it - that it would be an awesome time. YES - take pictures - but have fun.  And you said the best thing ever - You have to take care you first.   Gee - ladies how long did it take for us all to see that it writing from Blondie? ! Blondie - do this - I have to take of me First every 3 months!

    Hey - I think I found a new saying for us - Blondie's Rule

YOU have to take care of yourself first! Its done its in writing.

And good luck to your Girls Basket Ball team.

Miss - is your hubby going to town. His energy level must be on high drive. So glad you told him - that he is NOT the Six Million Dollar Man.  Tell him to save some of that energy for a second honeymoon! You both need to celebrate all that remodeling he is doing and that his remodeling (the knees) went to so well. Trip time!

KIm !!!! I have thought of you for the last two nights. How wonderful for your DIL - so glad she is doing ok and her hair is coming back in.  I hope their trip to Japan will be fun and easy.  Mexico!  How exciting !  The weather should be great.  And I have a feeling the one you think is going to stay put - well  - you know that travel bug is contagious. Congrats on Rhode Island !!! I am so happy - only 5 hours away.

Yes, back to Japan. Sorry, I have no idea where - yes, he did say where - but my gray hair has gotten deeper. So when I hear from him - I will give him the Navy Mom 200 questions and get back here to share.  The only news I do have - his wife's daughter will be graduating in May - have her birthday too and she did some researching. Military career researching - Guess what ? She decided to join the Navy! Her plans to go to Boot camp in September. sorry - that's all I got.

Weather here is nice - last two days 67 and 70. I have had teh grandkids outside in teh backyard on their swing set playing.  Knock on wood - it suppose to stay this way.

Well, its late  - I have to take my grandson to an early appointment tomorrow morning.  And I wish you all a

    Happy St. Patrick's Day  hugs

  • Blondie

Kim, Doing the Happy Dance with you Rhode Island!!!! AND DIL doing well. Double dance LOL

Miss, our girls did not play well and lost  but what an experience for them.

    T-Lynn, Another Sailor!!!

I've been trying to do better with me first but really not in my Nature. I'm a Caregiver not taker but learning (slowly). I LOVE the Blondie Rule, we shall see how that goes. Although if you ask my Boss she'd say I go too much. This from a women who's 21 & 19 year old's still live with her! Although with this last trip, May and June (babysitting my 2grands) coming up I feel Luxurious.  This past year and a half has taken it's tow with the dissolution, all the moves and mental/emotional/physical behaviors we've had to deal with....

Trying to get Hubby and my life back on track.  So much to look forward too, not looking back. Thank goodness I have you ladies watching my back!  Much appreciated. :)

  • Blondie

I'm at work (of course I am)  and can't connect to my phone, will try to figure pictures out at lunch (if I get one) or tonight(if not too tired) We've been swamped since taking Friday off and we're closed this sat. because it's my scheduled weekend with the kids!  So I've been working 7:30-6:30 with maybe a half hour lunch but taking half day friday off meeting up with our Financial Advisor and then 2 of the kids are meeting us for supper and then heading to Amanda's for weekend. Paradise!!

Last weekend started with a fancy mediterranean lunch one of those small plate deals with paired drinks. Checked in and enjoyed our whole weekend. no windows, nice and dark, dimmers on all the lights, oils for the hot tub, shower had the stone floor a little tricky for me but loved the feel on my feet.  Dial 0 and we could have anything. they brought us a cheese and meat tray with nuts, olives, fruit... @ 9pm they brought us coffee and fresh baked chocolate chip cookies!  when we got up in morning dialed 0 again they brought us muffins, danish and  mimosa and coffee!  We were in the hot tub 3 times in less then 24 hours and slept great!  No pain!  On our way back home stopped to see Jeremy (and Rhyen)  who got married 2 years ago and has a baby about the age of Lillianna that we hadn't met yet, only by Video chat. and pictures every day. Rhyen is 11 and taller then us both (5'10). Bishop (new baby) came right to us and back and forth couldn't get enuff!  We spent 2 hours with them, new wife and step daughter wasn't home but we couldn't wait still a drive ahead of us and Hubby's sister coming for supper!  Had baked Chicken and broccoli/cauliflower soup, talked about DC trip... WONDERFUL weekend.

So as you can see I AM taking care of me!  :)

    Good Monday morning!

T-Lynn, I was crappie fishing, my son and hubby were bass fishing.  Our son caught 2 bass, and that was it for the day.  It was so pretty and so relaxing, so everything was good.  I want to go back and make them both fish for crappie.   We do love to eat crappie.

It is another beautiful day in the South, but we have storms moving in tomorrow afternoon with threats of tornadoes and heavy rain.  I would love to be off today working in my yard.   My hubby is going to his Dr. today to have knees checked, and he is hoping he dismisses him today.  He is doing really good.  We walked 2 miles yesterday after church.  It was so nice outside.  My guys are going fishing this afternoon when D. gets backs from the Dr.  I am going to try to walk again this afternoon.  I have gained so much weight that I have to do something.

Blondie, as soon as you have time, give us an update on your weekend.

Kim, so happy for your son and so thankful that you daughter-in-law treatments are over.

I hope everyone has a great Monday.

  • T-Lynn

    HI

Yes, thank you - a very nice Monday. We had 74 degree weather. And the grandkids played outside with bubbles.

But as you stated Miss - tomorrow we start to drop in temp and have rain.  Now we have NOTHING like you are expecting.  Please keep an eye out. And have some items ready for an emergency.  Just not an easy feeling. - sorry, not trying to scare. Keep us posted on your weather and if your hubby gets the all ok for his knees.  If he does - plan a date night to celebrate.

And I am right with you in the NEED to do something.  My horizon expanded too.

    Need to get along

    Hugs all

AND check in ladies   ROLL CALL !!!!!

  • DramaSoul

    DramaSoul here..

Just checkin' in. I had FaceTime with my grandson and his parents yesterday. He is now 16 months old and boy am I havin' deja vu!  He is soooo BUSY......just like his daddy.  I am going to visit them in 87 days (but who's counting?)!

Weather is crazy all over. We just have rain. Whaddya expect in the Northwest? There's as saying here....if ya' don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes. It can be sunny and then hail, rain or snow...depending on the whims of Mother Nature. Right now? Just rain.

I read and don't post. Everyone stay safe out there!

    Big Navy Mom Hugs!

  • T-Lynn

    Hi

DramaSoul - so good to hear from you

Yippe a trip coming up in 85 days to go, but right who is counting?  Us that's who !  Looking forward to hearing what a grand trip you had.

And yes, you are so correct about the weather. It appears our weather here in the Mid West is copying yours.

Started out at 74 on Monday and now 37 and still dropping. With rain. wonder if the cars will be frozen shut again?

No news from my sailor. Its that busy time for him. And then I cam kept busy with two grandkids.

Wish all a good rest of the week and a fun weekend.

thanks for checking in Drama - hugs

  • Blondie

DramaSoul, I LOVE the count down, betcha can't wait!!!

We had Storms again Wed. Tornado 5-6 miles from us. I'd just got home from work and had let the doggies out. Heard a Terrible Loud noise, rain for the door 1 dog was looking in bay window and other jumping on back legs looking in door window. Pouring rain by the time I got them in!  They were glued against me, could hardly walk. So I sat in recliner and loved on them, Titus's head went up and looked out North window, so I looked to see what had his interest. Yep, there she blew. Took out a barn, messed up 2 more and a woods.  Hubby was in such a hurry to come home he took back road to stay away from flashing lights. But we were fine, safe at home, So GLAD he wasn't 5 mins sooner!

Work has been Crazy busy of course Cindy is gone this week. She had this trip planned before we hired her.  I'm too old to hand 3 and 4 Practitioners at once! Especially when 2 of them are being Difficult, canceling days, changing hours and don't want to help call pts./clients. 1 even worked through lunch and then complained I didn't stay, I HAD to go to Post office (for her) and Bank and home to let my dogs out!  AND get away from HER for a few mins.!  Where's the Appreciation?!

Talked to both doctors about getting another part-time help to help Cindy when I'm on vacation, BECAUSE I am going!  Also she can have My Saturdays!

People arriving already, Geez give me some time here.

Last weekend: good report from Finance guys, Got to have supper with Eldest son and wife, LOVED it!!  Got in before kids went to bed about an hour of play and cuddles then bedtime routine.  Sat. morning  after breakfast my 2 Daughters and I got to leave alone!  LOL, went to bank to cash in their bonds I'd bought them years ago. Because they changed they're last names, they were having problems. Seems dumb to me, Birth cert., marriage license, S.S. Card, pass port But it got us out alone!!!  LOL  Grocery shopping, a coffee stop and took lunch back.

Sorry was gone about a half hour, does that show up, all these interruptions, I just want to chat with my Pan Mom's!

Kids weekend...  I left the chicken at home so we did tater tot casserole and hung out.  Sun. breakfast out then went to other daughter's New apartment so T could show us what they had done to the place!  LOL her words.  T lost her 2nd baby tooth and both adult teeth are poking through. How is she this old already?!

Tonight working late again but getting Connor!   Gotta go, Have a GREAT weekend, I'll try to check in next week.

    Navy Mom HUGS

    HI

Blondie - the Bees have just flown the white flag. They said you WIN. The term Busy Bee belongs to Blondie! Funny, I think the Energizer Bunny did that too.

I am so glad you all were safe. That was too close. This year I have a gut feeling that our weather is going to be weird until Autumn. We had snow again. WE had one day of 74 - then it dropped and dropped  - rained and now snow.

You might have to set your doctor's down and really have a heart to heart chat with them. What will they do if you really had to be gone for a while?  And while you are talking with them - you need a raise too.

I think Lady Karma had a hand in the bank needed YOU along to help your daughters with the bonds. That guaranteed you TIME to be out with your daughters !!!! Girl Time. Your bosses can't say you were out playing hooky.

Conor must be so tall now. Wow - what wonderful memories of him growing up. And T- has lost another tooth. Tooth Fairy must be busy at her home.  But yes, were is that time gone to.

Hey, need to split - laundry Fairy is visiting.

    All take care - hugs

  • Blondie

Happy Easter!  Hope everyone is safe and Happy and hear from those Sailors!

Same here, busy, busy. Lots of rain and storms, my yard is a mess!  Tree trimmers came in and fixed most the damage but lots to chop up and move now. and the grass is getting long but to wet to mow.  Same ole same ole. I did hire a high school student to help out at work. Seems to be picking it up quickly.

    Tear jerker here: (warning)

My 21/2 grandson has been driving us Crazy, meaning his parents and us, he starts in Friday morning asking when we are coming Every weekend!  My daughter us to make him wait till Sunday to video call us, then it was Saturday, Now Friday! "Nana when are you coming?"

Now my 5 year old Granddaughter (Tahlia, other daughter's) Asked her Mommy when she got picked up at daycare yesterday, Do  you have a surprise for me at home? No, was I suppose to? "Where's Nana nd Papa?"  we usually pick her up on our weekends.  This is her Dad's weekend :(  So she called me last night and asked me to climb through the phone line and Hug her. (Tears pouring!)  I won't get to see you this weekend AND I miss you!  with all the drama only a 5 year old girl can do!  So I told her I'd LOVE to, I miss her to. Get ready here I come!  So her Mom right on clue did a big Splash and Tahlia was yelling No Nana you'll  get wet!  I'M IN THE TUB! My husband was in the shower so I had taken the phone in the bathroom and was sitting on the pot, he clued in and open the curtain and threw water all over me! (LMAO)  Tahlia said Nana you're hair is wet!  It was a Perfect Moment. I told her it was that big splash she should have warned me first. She said do it again, hubby and daughter are just losing it laughing. But I told her that was a lot of traveling in 1 night and Nana was Tired. Of course she knew it wasn't true but we LOVE to Dream.  When she was little I'd throw her kisses and her Mom/Dad would kiss her and tell her it was mine. Now she just catches my kisses and rubs them all over. :) Grandkids are the Best!

They are gonna watch our doggies for a couple days while we're in DC but she was confused why we wouldn't be there.  In her little mind, we wouldn't go anywhere but to see her! or Joseph and Lillianna.  Smart girl. LOL  So I'm gonna get her on Friday and we're not leaving until Saturday noon. So hopefully that makes her Happy and she doesn't cry to go with us. We distracted her with all the fun AND chores of watching the dogs and getting the mail and taking care of the house/yard.  Crossing my fingers. Originally they we're coming until we left.

    Well gotta run, patients arriving!

  • T-Lynn

    HI

Blondie - thanks for the warning. Yes, I teared up. But what fun - "Nana - you hair is all wet!". What a memory. Blondie - I started a Good Thing journal.  In it I ONLY write down good - fun - wonderful things that happened . Example: when Emma told us "I'm a little piggy." When I have a hurtful moment - I go and read those.. And I forgot about you going to DC. And you KNOW she will ask to go.  Just be ready.  And have a good trip too.

So there is a high school student coming in and helping - awesome!  Maybe they will hire!

Thank you and Blessing to you and all the Navy Moms to have a wonderful Easter/

    Hugs all

  • Kim

I hope everyone had a great Easter.

"All hands (navy moms) on deck!  I need advice.  My sailor, wife, son and cat are travelling cross country from San Diego to Rhode Island for his new orders.  Their route had detours to the Grand Canyon, another canyon, Yellowstone Park, Mount Rushmore and then us (near Philadelphia).  They arrived in Yellowstone just as a storm hit and they have had to stay put.  They are venturing out today and hope to drive 4 hours.  Do any of you have advice on the road conditions in Montana/Wyoming/South Dakota.  It sounds like some roads are still closed today.  They are driving a Yaris and Prius.  I have been reading those parts of I90 have been closed and I am really nervous.

  • Blondie

Kim, I have no idea but sending Prayers up!

  • Blondie

Beautiful weekend here, 80's!!  But I had oral surgery Friday and could not do a thing :(  Can't bend over, lift, drink coffee, pop, alcohol, only eating soft foods(starting today).  I worked Sat. morning dumb me!  Hadn't slept Friday night much, went home and took pain killers and still couldn't sleep. Basicly living on ice pack and water. I'm a bleeder and with my BP and heart meds.... I bled for 9 hours after surgery. Hoping today is not too much for me and tomorrow off. :)   Have this weekend off so heading to Columbus, the kids have a Wedding they want to go to, no kids allowed, so babysitting my Grandbabies!!!

Hope everyone has a Great week.

  • Kim

Blondie, the mouth has fast growing cells which means it heals fast (and chemo leaves mouth sores).  I know it doesn't help when you are in pain but it should be over soon.  Enjoy those grandbabies.

Crisis is over.  They made it to Dodge (or Billings Montana) last night.  I heard around 8:00 my time and went to bed.  Travelling again today to South Dakota.  My youngest calls me early that his wife is in emergency with a Gall Bladder attack!  She is only 24!  We are waiting to hear if they are going to do surgery.

I have been wondering if I should retire this fall at my full retirement age.  My youngest son lives 2.5 hours south of me and lives with cancer.  My oldest (with grandson) is going to be 5 hours north.  I think God is telling me to retire and spend more time with my family.  I have 3 sons, the middle son lives 9 doors down.

  • T-Lynn

    HI

Kim - you know the answer. It time to be with your family and ENJOY !!! Sending Healing Energy to your daughter in law. And my great niece had her gallbladder out in her teens!  Good to hear that travel is smooth going.  The weather here in northern Illinois is cold and windy. It can get gusty, just tell them to watch the semi drivers.  If they see them pulling over and stopping - they should too. Just find a Truck Stop - enjoy the pie ( usually the truck stops have good pie in Illinois) and ride out he wind. Keep us posted on their travels and so good to hear from you.  hugs

Blondie !!! REALLY - back to work after you had mouth surgery. I know you are dedicated - but YOU COUNT.  Just asked your grandkids! AS Kim stated you should heal faster and I am sending some Reiki your way. Was it on the lower left side?  Have fun with your grandbabies.  hugs

Oh - Marking the calendar in September when you retire Kim. hugs

  • Blondie

Thanks Kim, it's getting better Every day. I just need to learn patience.  :)  How's the traveling going?  How is the DIL doing?

If your finances allow it, Why not retire?  Write down your Pros and Cons. Maybe just part time? help out during vacations, busy times...?  Your kids sound like mine, from side to side AND top to bottom of State, couldn't they live closer?!  LOL  Search Your heart, you will KNOW.

T-Lynn, I know what was I thinking?!  I wasn't, just thought I'd breeze through and keep going. Sadly not the truth anymore. As I told Kim, I NEED to learn Patience and forgiveness to myself. (be kinder, allow myself to hurt, feel, heal...)  Close, it's my left top, really hard to get it to stop bleeding, hold the packing etc.  Finally went the old fashion way and stitched it shut with the pack(meds. and gel stuff) inside. Only because I told them, my BP is Never going to go down if you don't stop the stress on my body! Geez

  • T-Lynn

    HI

Sometimes blondie we just have to do things the things "the old fashion way".  BUT still take it easy.

Agree, Kim updates on teh travelers and your DIL please.

Got to get - typing up minutes from two club meetings

    hugs
