Profile Information:

A little about me:
I am a proud Texas Navy Mom of two Sailors.
It has been a long journey, but a proud one.
One son is a Corpsman, who is currently in New Orleans, and the other is a CS (culinary specialist). He is in San Diego and is assigned to the USS Bonhomme Richard LHD-6.
My daughter is still at home enjoying being the only child and when something goes wrong, she misses her brothers as she can no longer "Blame" them for mishapes that happen around the house.
As much as I miss my boys, I am proud that they are part of the world's finest Navy!
I am here to support my
Son/Daughter
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I...
Was proud and encouraged it
The Navy offers opportunities that...
It is hard to let go, and I want to be there for them and let them know how proud I am of them.
Never give up on encouraging them.
Since my boys have left, I feel that I have grown closer to them. I look forward to our daily call and miss them even more during the days I can't talk to them.
I am A Proud Navy Mom.
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Hi, Welcome to Navy for Mom’s. You will find lots of support, advice, information, and friends here!! All you have to do is read, read, read!!

I would like to invite you to join the group of moms from Texas!! We are the largest state group on this site!! (Everything is bigger in Texas - including Navy Moms)!!

Just go to the groups tab and type in Texas in the search box. The icon of the group is the state of Texas, of course!! If you can’t find that, click on my picture to the left and it will take you to my page. You can find the same icon there. Just click on it and you can join us!!

Please leave a short message about where you live and what your sailor is doing. Also, please let us know how you found Navy for Moms.

My sailor son, Derek, is a MA (Master at Arms) - He is now stationed in Portsmouth, Virginia.

    Margaret,

Congratulations again!! I know you are vey proud of both your sailors!!

Thanks for sharing your pictures. Our division, while being a 900 Peforming Division, is not the band. Our guys are the ones that do things such as serving. My son in particular is the "time orderly" and is the one that would have rung the bell. I saw some other pictures someone had posted and saw a bell across the hall but no one was standing there yet. If you happen to have a picture with a someone next to the Bell, that would make my day! Just to catch a glimpse of him would bring such joy to my heart.

Where is your headed to next? Mine will be heading to San Antonio on 1/27 for MAA training.

Thanks from one Navy Mom to another!
