yes, I will be there for sure. I can hardly wait until then. Do you have any idea how their division is doing as a group? My son hasn't said anything, so i was just wondering if you know anything.
Oh dear (about people not being able to fold laundry) I hope that's not my son he was talking about haha My son sounded very upbeat this time. He also said the division was picking up speed. He did say they did better than brother division on the Merlin Spike. They finished with 20 seconds to spare. Other than that, I don't know much. He doesn't answer any of the questions I ask in my letters. In my last letter, I asked him if he knew anyone in his division from Maryland with a mom named Linda. Maybe i will get an answer haha
Yes my husband, daughter, and my dad will be there. I'm also planning on being at the meet and greet as well. I hope your son gets over his sinus infection soon. April 22 can't get here soon enough!! I miss him soooo bad!!
hello, my son is also ship 03 did 142 and is doing well! he sounds like he loves it but so so ready to see us on the 22nd. Also waiting to hear if he leaves for Pensacola on Sat and what time....He is by youngest child and this has been a long time for me....wish he could call again...heard only once and it was so short....16 days left!!!!
Have you heard anything about when BS will be? I had asked my son a while back to let me know and he never has answered me. The only letter I have gotten this week was Mon and it was mostly just telling us about his hurt leg. I thought you might know something.
Your son sounds like my son. I never get a lot of information as to whats coming up either, so I have to rely on others for information. I haven't gotten anymore letters this week so I don't know anything else. Of course I was worried all day yesterday about the PFA. But according to comments on RTC fb page, if they don't pass the running part of the PFA, then they still have time to retake it. I'm just praying that he was healthy enough to have passed it yesterday. Just like you, I'm ready for this to be OVER and I know my son is too!!! Hopefully, by this time next week, we will have gotten our "I'm a sailor" call.
Thank you so much!! I cannot tell you how stressed I've been over the last week and not knowing ANYTHING!!! I was just beside myself when I read that he was ok. I certainly thanked God for the blessing, that's for sure. And yes, it does seem that other divisions have gotten calls and ours haven't. It kinda makes me wonder why..... I don't know. At this point, I'm just counting down the days til Friday.
Linda what is your email address??? I will send you pics of my daughter...Thanks!! I am hoping that someone meets up with her..and gets a close up of her...and tells her that Her MOM LOVES HER VERY MUCH....AND IS SO PROUD OF HER!!!!
I hope so..Thanks Miss Linda!!! I hope she will be moved with some of the mom's coming up to her and teller they know me...and what to wish her well and that I love her...I am crossing my figures.... :)
That was great that you were able to keep your phone on in class...just in case, but, I know you were glad to be able to talk to him while you were in your car, and without any distractions :) I know what you mean about getting more info out of him yesterday. I finally got answers to all those questions I had. My son told me the same thing about their division doing great. He did say, they had gotten "complacent" in the last couple weeks and had to do IT, but all in all, they had done a good job. He loved BS, but he missed the capping ceremony due to the fact that while they were standing there and exhaustion, he must have locked his knees, and he PASSED OUT! I hate that so bad for him, for missing the best part. He didn't seem too upset though. I probably hate it worse than he does. He still got his ball cap :) I asked him if he would be able to call home again before PIR but he didn't know. I'm keeping my phone close though, just in case. I also asked about the flags and they had gotten all their flags, so that is great. To be honest, I had been a little worried about them due to the fact you and I had little info and just didn't know how they were doing. He said the girls had more trouble getting along than the boys. haha I guess that's kind of typical though. I hope they do great with Captains Cup today. I look forward to finally meeting you and everyone as well. See you on the 21st :)
