My boyfriend, Andrew, and I have been together for two years. We met through a mutual friend and have been pretty much inseparable since that day. He left for bootcamp at Great Lakes on November 3rd, after which he will go to A School in Charleston to be a Navy Nuke. I am very proud of him for making this decision, as it is the best one for him as well as us as a team.
As for myself, I am extremely busy as a first year graduate student studying Speech-Language Pathology. While Andrew is going through all of his schooling, I will be doing the same. We'll just be a little further apart than we were originally planning.
I think this will be an amazing adventure and I cannot wait to embark on it with the man that I love. And, of course, I am already excited to start shopping for an outfit to wear to graduation! :)

Was proud and encouraged it
The Navy offers opportunities that...
Never take the small things for granted. Cherish every moment you have with your loved one.
"You never get used to it, you just get through it."
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Hi Allie, I saw your comment on IL moms about getting three letters and info on adopt a sailor. I work with Molly's Adopt A Sailor so that comment made me very curious. Was the info about Molly's and do you know where he got it?? OMG, we would love it if they were handing out info about having us adopt them. Thanks, Pat
I am echoing (echo echo echo) Pat's comment. We would be thrilled to have you join us on Molly's Adopt a Sailor. Let Pat or me know what you need, and we will be sure you have the information. It's warm fuzzies all the time-- we laugh, we cry and then we laugh some more! Carol, another Nuke Mom
