The tank is clean!!! ......... The tank is clean?!?
Okay, I know I'm lame. After I typed the title "Today's the day!" the line from Finding Nemo popped into my head, so I went with it. :)
Andrew is leaving for downtown with his recruiter as I write this blog. He will spend the night at the hotel and then leave for great lakes tomorrow. We spent our night together last night by having dinner with his parents and siblings. We had a great time. Leaving his house today was so…

Well, I guess there's no denying the fact that he is actually leaving anymore... We had his going away party this past weekend and it was AWESOME to see so many people that we know and love there supporting him full-heartedly in his future endeavors.
So now we can check "have going away party" off of our to-do list before he leaves, along with "get pictures taken" and "take care of financial matters". Now if only he would work on "lose weight", we'd be golden. I'm worried that he will…

I figured I would start my first blog post with how Andrew and I met. It's really not that interesting of a story, but it's OUR story. It was summer of 2009 and I was taking two classes at the local community college to make my next year at siue less stressful. On June 26, a mutual friend called me and invited me to a party at his house that night. I told him that I would not make it because I had 8am class the following morning. Honestly, it was only 8pm and I was already in my pajamas…

Welcome to Molly's Adopt A Sailor! For more information, go to Molly's group page and on the right side under the members pictures, click on "New Moms Read First." If you have questions, please do not hesitate to send me a message. Thanks for joining us! Pat
Yeah:) glad the Captain's Cup meeting in Belleville information was helpful. So, as I understand, your sweetie is in bootcamp and you get to have some time with your Andrew through the bootcamp adoption. That's neat!
When you are ready to pass on some love, come join us at http://www.navyformoms.com/group/mollysadoptasailorproject. We adopt different groups each month. Think you may have seen the pillowcases we make, too. Or, we also adopt a MASH hospital and send them some simple needs. All sorts of areas. I know I started doing Molly's while my Andy was still in bootcamp.
Let me know if you need anything else!
Carol
Just looked up your town--you are about an hour from me. Can meet you anytime you shop at St Clair square! or find a half way point for us!
I am echoing (echo echo echo) Pat's comment. We would be thrilled to have you join us on Molly's Adopt a Sailor. Let Pat or me know what you need, and we will be sure you have the information. It's warm fuzzies all the time-- we laugh, we cry and then we laugh some more! Carol, another Nuke Mom
Hi Allie, I saw your comment on IL moms about getting three letters and info on adopt a sailor. I work with Molly's Adopt A Sailor so that comment made me very curious. Was the info about Molly's and do you know where he got it?? OMG, we would love it if they were handing out info about having us adopt them. Thanks, Pat
(PS I am also a Nuke mom)
