Hi, my son arrived at BC June 13. Got the call about 9:30pm. He sounded wore out, but I'm sure alot of it had to due with having friends over the night before. Now waiting for the "Kid In the box". Have already started writing letters. Trying to keep busy and just looking forward to the first letter. I quess about 3weeks. Can't wait to find out if our kids are in the same ship. It's exciting and this site is keeping me busy (it's AWESOME!)

Well we made in through day 2!  I have a really slow computer and am struggling to find how to communicate on here.  What is Wade's rating?  We should have the box sometime next week then the letter few days after that.  That will help since planning can begin.  Just think after this weekend 8 Fridays?  Are you on Facebook?  Kurtmansmom, hello and welcome.  Maybe once we get our PIR date and tht group is setup it will be easier to keep in touch.  OK I called my daughters phone today just to hear her voicemail . . . .ughhhh  :)

I would love to keep in touch with you also. And just think we could actually meet in person at our sons graduation.

I'm doing alright. I keep calling my youngest Reilly, and I'm still crying here and there. But over all doing better. We got our kid in a box this morning. All that was in there was here t-shirt, sweatshirt, phone, and sunglasses. Now I'm just waiting for my form letter so I can start sending letters. Have you gotten your kid in a box yet?

I still haven't totally figured out this site yet either.

Hi there my daughter also left for basic training on 06-13 since then i have not heard from her only the phone call that she arrived...I miss her so much!!

I so glad you got Wade's box and that the recruiter was able to give you his address. I can't even contact my son's recruiter, he never told us who he was. So I'm just going to have to wait until I receive the letter.

Hi, have you heard yet what ship and division your son is in yet? The recruiter gave his address to us yesterday, don't know if it's correct? Ship 12, Div.237. Can't wait till hear from him. His best friend that went in with him got medically discharged yesterday for asthmas, which his recruiter was told about but said it was ok. So I don't know if my son knows he his leaving.

Got son's form letter yesterday and the address the recruiter gave us was all wrong, good thing I didn't send letters out. He is in Ship 3 Div.245. So are boys are in the same boat, HA, HA. I just made my reservations at the Navy Lodge. Was going to stay at another hotel until I saw your comment on this one. Not a bad deal. I would walk there, but there aren't sidewalks, could be risky. Looking forward in meeting you. Can't wait to get a letter to see what is going on. Well it's 1:30am here, quess I better go to bed.

Just realized that you book your room at the Navy Lodge, DUH! It was a long night last night. You are the one that suggested it. Well you know where my mind is. Anyway, I think I should get to bed a little earlier tonight than what I did last night. Have a good evening!
