Hello mleahfreeman!! I see our sons are on the same ship and same division, so cool!! I just got the letter today and am making plans for PIR. so glad to finally see someone with the same class!!

Expect a letter in the late third to early fourth week. They get to write in week three on Sunday at first. After week five depending on how the division is doing they are allowed to write letters on Tuesdays and Thursdays. My son first letters that were written on Sunday came on Wednesday and I live in Midwest. Usually it takes about three to four days to get a letter after they have been written. Hope that helps.

My sailor (now honorably discharged) lives in your area, I think. Georgetown? Just moved there when he was discharged in March to be with his gf and her family. Tells me it is H O T out there....but I remind him that down here where he is from (Miami FL), it is pretty darn hot too! :-) He is in full-time school on his GI Bill (online) and looking for a job...with the "masses" looking for jobs! Sigh....
