Julie, they might just know each other from being stationed in San Diego. My sailor is on the USS Jarrett, but currently indock in San Diego. He leaves for deployment in August. I don't think they are in like the same little group, but they probably hang out. I know those boys don't do too much outside of the Rec Center on base. Their friends are each other. As far as friend requests go, you are right about that invite button. It trys to make you invite your friends to join. The best way to send a friend request is by clicking on anyones name that has left an interesting comment on anything throughout the site that you relate to. When you click on their name it sends you to their page where you can send a friend request by clicking the request friend icon. I sent you one just a second ago. You should be able to see the request in the upper right hand corner of this page where it says alerts, ivite, your name....etc. I hope this helps. I look forward to hearing from you

Just wanted to give a shout out to all the great ladies who have been responding to my posts, comments, etc. , and let you know how much I really appreciate you guys taking the time to get back to me. It's really nice to know there's someone out there who I can talk to, who understands what I'm feeling and going through, and who extend a helping hand when it's needed!! You're the best!!!

Thank you so much for checking in on me. Things are getting better. I have a hotel room and a plane ticket :) I am so excited. only 12 days. I'm a little nervous but I guess it comes with the territory. Not seeing him for 6 months is a long time but it is so short compared to how long his first deployment will be. I know I'm going to have a great time, I'm just so uneasy but exstatic about seeing him again for the first time.
