My son was asmoed as well when there.  For a week...turned out to be a very good thing for him.  He ended up in a more motivated division.  I'm sure all will turn out fine for your SR.  So he hasn't been put in the group yet, right?  My son was put in a "holding" type of group until put with a new PIR group/division.  When he called me to tell me, he gave me the same call that you did....my new PIR date will be _____ (2 weeks later).  However, just a week later, he called and said he was now in PIR ___/Div ____  (a week earlier than last date) .  So he was only on hold for a week ( he had been shown a phone number by another SR that a female wrote down for that SR and didn't report it to the RDCs....got setback for that).

Don't discard your form letter!  You will need that password to call Public Affairs before PIR to get the new one for the group he is in.  So hang on to it!

Thank you for your encouragement.  We haven't heard from our granddaughter by mail since she was put into Ship 4 on Tuesday, Sept. 4th. Her original PIR was Sept. 7. She used to write weekly, so it is hard not to know what is happening to her and what kind of progress she has made with her physical fitness running time.  We are going by the axiom that no news is good news.  Thanks again for taking the time to send the message.  I appreciate it.
