Scott is home and getting ready for his trip to Washington. I would like to take you up on the offer for someone to meet him at the train station. Could I send you my e-mail address and then we could exchange contact information? My e-mail is SBrit02@sbcglobal.net. He gets there about 8:30 I believe on Dec. 26. But I know that is subject to change with the weather and train schedules. Thank you again for your kind offer. We will keep in touch.
Scott leaves this afternoon for Cleveland to catch the train at like 3:00 AM tomorrow. Thank goodness the weather is decent. His wife got in from South Korea and is driving him up tonight. They had a whole 2 days together. I believe he has temporary housing until he finds something permanent. They have been looking on-line. If this still works out for you to pick him up that would be great, but if not that is okay too. Probably kind of weird picking up a strange young man. LOL I'm sure there are cabs or ways to get to wherever he is going. Hope your son is doing well in Newport. You have to go from graduation if you can. It is a great place and graduation is neat too. Did I ask if you son is new to the military or is he prior enlisted? Anyway, hope you and your family and your son have a very Merry Christmas.
Thank you so much for all you and your family did yesterday! Scott enjoyed spending the day with you and seeing the area and having pizza! It was a great first day in Washington after the long train ride. The movers came to take his things - some from here and some from his wife's family's home - this morning. She heads back to Korea for 2 more months and will be in Everett late Feb. They are both excited about being there. I'll be glad when they are both in one place! He has another school to go to in January. How is your son liking the snow in Rhode Island? Best of luck to him. Scott said he has just started OCS. What area will he be in once he graduates? Does he want to come back to Washington? Thanks again for helping Scott to feel welcome in Washington!
