First of all, I want to thank YOU for your service to our great country. I am from the Vietnam era and I am so glad we are finally treating our vets better. There are a few things that I still feel needs to be done. For example, we don't have any funds for outreach programs. I have seen too many vets out in the streets - people who won't for one reason or another go to a VA hospital but why don't we have people out there looking for these guys who need help and bring them in?

I drafted this guide to help new members. I am sure most of the information will be old hat for you. Everything is contained within (videos, powerpoint presentations, tips, links). It's here on your personal page, you can always refer to it.

Good luck to your sailor recruit and please thank him for his future service. I would be most interested in any feedback you may have. My son's commitment to the Navy will be completed next month. Fair winds and following seas.

Thank you for your service.  I read your post about your boot camp days on the TG20 forum.  Outstanding and ought to be posted on every parent's page.  I have an SR in 07/107.  I am terribly proud of him and can't imagine what it will be like to be even prouder of him on 3/30.
