I am retired from the Naval Reserve however I did serve in active duty status in the 1960's. I trained as a Hospital Corpsman (Great Lakes) after boot camp at Bainbridge, MD. Ended up at NAVSta Long Beach, CA. Married there, got out of Navy and we settled at Moffett Field, CA. Husband died in aircraft accident, I then joined the Naval Reserve and served at NAS Whidbey Island with VP-squadron until I retired in 1994.
