PMT stands for preventative medicine technician. Each sailor must fill out a dream sheet at the end of EMT training and if your grades are high and they have an opening they may get it, but not everyone gets another school. Some prefer to work with marines or to go into the fleet. His next school is at the same base in San Antonio, so he will move to another barracks.

Welcome!  I'm from and currently living in Rockford, IL.  Definitely feel free to message me and ask anything you need.  We moved from Rockford to San Diego last Oct, then we moved back to Rockford when my DH deployed in April.  Now we're on our way back to San Diego next month.  Check out my blog post, My First Navy PCS, for a PCS starting point.  Which base is your DH going to be stationed at?  There are about 5 or 6 in the San Diego area, plus a Marine base.  My DH is at Naval Amphibious Base on Coronado.

Hey Marika, just wanted to say congratulations on ur Sailor getting his orders. I remember you freaking out about you not being a part of his graduation. I'm glad things are starting to shape up for you. Stay encouraged and remain blessed!
