I am a mother of 3- dtr who is a college grad and preparing to start more school, my SR recruit who also has a twin going to college. I will be an empty nester....did not realize how emotional I would be....but each day IS better. I am also celebrating a 25th anniversary this week. I am a RN, but the joy of my life is my family....I am beaming with pride in all of them, but will miss them being home....but love that they are confident in going forward in their lives. Gonna miss them though!
Thanks Kathy, I have my good days and bad days. I've had people try to compare it to going to college, but it's not. Being cut off from communication is the key.
Seek out Tom (click on link below and send him a friend request) and speak w him privately. He is a retired ETCS (SS) nuclear instructor. You son will be OK. He'll have to take whatever punishment deemed appropriate at this time. Underage drinking is taken seriously. But I truly believe he will be OK at the end. Here is Tom's link.
