Hey Gina. I know how you feel. I went through that not knowing too. I quickly learned my son would give me info when he received it so I quit asking him. I am a planner so it was hard to resist asking but I have now been trained myself.
There is a Naval Aviator group on this site so you may want to join it if you haven't already. After the initial training in P'cola your son will probably either stay in P'cola area or be sent to Corpus Christi for Primary training. That's when they start training with the T6.
I say probably because 1) things change and 2) I am in no way an expert but can tell you what I know through my son's experience. If you want to friend me I would be happy to share what I know. My son went to Corpus in Sept of last year.
Gina Mills, what is it that you want to know? Honestly, what Loni said is true. They don't have all the answers, just the big picture. They try to keep them focused on what's immediately in front of them and not to worry about later details.
How long he is in Pensacola is depends on whether they go through IFS, personal schedules and weather. My DS was one flight from completion (selection to Advanced) for over a month. I've learned to be patient, well, more patient. ;)
