Hi IBee, My son's name is Bagley. Like I said he is a "newbie." He just graduated from Boot Camp June 1st, so all of this is new to him. I see you are from Burlington, NC. I'm from Elizabeth City, but my husband is from Michigan, so after he got out of the Navy, we moved back to the West Michigan area to be closer to his family. My family still lives in EC, and they were excited that my son was going to be stationed in Norfolk. He's about 45 minutes from them and he got to spend his last weekend with them before he flew out to meet the ship. Looking forward to getting to know you and all of the moms and dads on this website better. Cynthia

You're not a badnavymom, IBee! I hope you CAN make it next time! Our tentative date is February 8th. We've kind of outgrown IHOP (which is very crowded and doesn't have enough parking), so we're talking about moving to one of the other places in the same area, such as Golden Corral or Cracker Barrell, maybe.
