A little about me:
I'm a recently-retired reference librarian. Proud mother of two great boys, the older of whom is a Nuke MM2, serving on the USS Cheyenne (Pearl Harbor). I come from a proud Navy family. My great-grandfather's brother was Admiral William Sims, from WWI; my father was a naval photographer in WWII; his cousins were also in the Navy (one served on Intrepid); and now, my 6'7" "little boy" carries on the tradition!

    Hi Adam'sProudMom,

Sorry, I hadn't been on Navy4Mom in a couple days, so I'm just now seeing your friend request.  I accepted it.  I will go to the Nuke Moms page and look for your comment.  Thanks!!

    Hi!

I joined the group earlier this spring and followed you guys, but have finally had time to sit down and message someone.  We live in Lexington and since we are in town, I would like to come to IHOP tomorrow if it is not too late.  We thought we would be moving our daughter in Raleigh from her apt.  this weekend, but she can't get her key to the new place until Monday morning.  Just let me know! Thanks, Nancy

I am so sorry that I missed breakfast this morning. I actually had to work. I volunteered though. I am sure you all had a good time. I hate that I missed the fellowship with everyone.  I am going to make sure that I mark the next date on my calender. #badnavymom
