A little about me:
I am the mom of four, two girls and two boys. Courtney is the oldest at 19, her sister Alex is 17, brother Dylan is 14 brother Trent is 10.
Technically boys are step children but we don't use that term in our family. My husband Dave was in the Navy before we met So he has an idea of what Courtney is going thru and how this will change her life. We work together and are best friends. We are so lucky!!

    Having A not so good day today. I still Have not received any letter from my girl and she has been there15 days, I understand from alot of mom's that it's 3 weeks or so for some to get mail. I've also heard that it depends on the "commander" of her group Some are not so nice when it comes to "extras". Not that writing home is an extra but to some commanders they may feel like it.
    She also goes to church on Sundays so I hear that doesn't leave much time to write.

    I know she is ok and I keep telling myself that no news is good news but I am still a mom. And a lonely one at that. So I wil continue to write and send my letters in hope that I will get one soon!!

    We are headed out to Great Lakes!!!! We got a letter from the Commander at GL yesterday... Courtney is a honor graduate!!! We will get to sit in the VIP section. OOOHHHHH!! :) I just hope we can see her during ceremony to take pictures and video.
    See you all at meet and greet and thanks for all the well wishes and prayers!! SHE DID IT !!!!!!!
