You may want to join Girlfriends, Fiances, and Wives of Sailors.

Join the group, DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in May. You will meet others with loved ones leaving this week who may be in the same TG and have PIR together. Be sure to check out the discussion, Things to Do in the Last Month before Your Future Sailor Leaves for.... I also suggest that you join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and begin checking out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) and Discussions there. Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what will soon be happening and what to expect. Be sure to join your PIR group once you get The Form Letter.

It's not a good idea to post a pic of your future Sailor every time you post. See change 4 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link). Also make change 3 while you are there so that this page is no longer open to EVERYONE (Anyone) with access to the web.

There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

Another change that I recommend that is mentioned in change 1 is to change the ZIP code to one that is not easily associated with your future Sailor.

Your future Sailor is actually "Waiting to leave for Boot Camp" since he has a ship date, but since he swears in tomorrow, change it to "Enlisted" once he swears in. You can make that change on the same page when you change the ZIP Code.
