Profile Information:

A little about me:
I'm a native of South FL residing in NC. Am a substitute elementary school teacher. Eventhough I'd been told I could never have children, I had my son in my (very) late 30's! He is the sun (son) in my universe. He joined up in February 2010 and I'm adjusting to yet another "wrinkle" in my life as a proud MAA's Navy Mom. Like his Grandie, Bill, said during Chris's first leave after (his first, ever) deployment to Bahrain, "He went into the NAVY a boy & has come home a man, couldn't be prouder of him".

February 2012 UPDATE:
Chris just celebrated his 2nd year in the NAVY! He likes his deployment in Bahrain and loves working at the Kennel as Kennel Support. He's MA3 now and is hoping to get a chance to "pick up a leash" himself in the future. We are still so very proud of our "sand sailor".

HOO YAH! I wish you all "Fair winds and following seas".
I am here to support my

Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy career?

When I heard “Navy,” I...
Was proud and encouraged it
The Navy offers opportunities that...
Be flexible, always provide encouragement to your sailor, be proud of who they are, who they'll become and love them. Remember, they stepped up when and where others feared to do so.
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
