DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Marshannon - I see that you have several friends on this site. You might want to reach out to the other ladies in your PIR group who will also be there the same time as you will and send them a friend request as well. Then as BelovedbyHim said, you can send each other a PM (Private message) to connect at PIR.

Here is more information:

SARGE'S MEET & GREET  - BACK AS OF 3/18/2022

Plan to arrive the day before PIR so you won't risk missing PIR and go to Sarge's Meet and Greet from 4pm to 8pm the evening before PIR at the Lakehurst Event Center (go to http://www.mynavytaxi.com/events.html to RSVP). Sarge has a taxi service and he is a wealth of information. His cell number is 847-212-0246. His Meet and Greet and services have been getting great reviews. Find Sarge on N4M as OldSarge.

Marshannon - Congratulations to your son!! - I generally try to get a welcome to all of our new members in the BC Mom and Loved Ones group, however, I have been traveling and visiting family (including my sailor family) & my grandchildren.

Now that your son has passed BST and your are waiting for PIR - please feel free to come join us in the Beyond BC - Navy For Moms (ning.com) group here on N4Ms. Some of the ladies who have been replying to posts and comments are also in that group as well. It is a place for you to stay connected no matter where your son is going to A school or gets shipped out for duty.

Welcome to NAVYforMoms.com!

Head to “Settings” on the main page right away to add a profile image (no last names visible, please) and complete your Profile. Then - and this is important! - read these Community Guidelines and this Operations Security (OPSEC) Checklist, for the safety and privacy of all our Sailors.

Then jump right in!  Browse around the site and check out the groups and the information in their Discussion Forums.

Join this group for boot camp moms, where you'll also find a group for your Pass in Review (graduation) date; and this one for PIR Reference Information.

Get a head start during boot camp by joining groups for, and learning about, your Sailor's occupational specialty and "A" School; and later your Sailor's duty station and/or Navy ship and homeport. You can also join groups for your own state, region or home town and interests from getting ready for deployment to care package ideas!

Please say Hi when you join a group, and feel free to ask any and all questions - everyone was new once, and there is no "dumb" question.  This site was created by the U.S. Navy just for you, and we look forward to getting to know you and your Sailor.  Welcome to the NAVY family - we're so glad you're here!!
