I saw a discussion about which graduation to go to powerschool or proto Type. I can't find it now. Can anyone help?
Hi Beth - this group isn't real active - be sure to join our Nuke mom's group - here's the link:
Power School Graduation !!! I can't believe we're here (rolled back 4 months but doing great and I'm so proud of him)
How long does the graduation itself last? want to make a reservation to take him out to eat afterwards :)
Rakenator, thank you so much for your encouraging words. My son has been struggling, went through RoM and hold and now is starting over in Power School again. They are helping him polish up his math skills.
Hi Nautical Mom - like the others said, they will work with them to get them to pass, especially if they are making an effort to get it done. B didn't pass Power School and had to recomp - along with quite a few others in his class. They all passed and moved on to prototype. He said Power school was the most difficult for him.
Do come over to the nuke moms page and post your concerns there too. It's more active than this page and you'll find more support.
Hang in there!
Nautical Mom, I only know what my son has told me. He was struggling in Power School but got sick and sent to ROM, afterwards he was put into Hold. During Hold he was allowed to go in and study his notes and things. He called to tell me he was starting classes Tuesday and I just assumed it was Power School but he said no he was in P-track and is taking classes to go over the things he was struggling with before the next Power School started. The way he explained it was after A School if your score wasn't at a certain level you would go to P-track for extra help. His overall score was above that level but he still had problems with the calculus which there is a whole lot of math formulas and if you don't understand them at the beginning you just continue to get lost. My understanding is if you are putting in the effort they will do everything they can to help you. My son didn't have any college courses and has been out of HS for 8 years. They will work with him!.
hi everyone - I have a son in power school in Charleston and he is struggling...what is the worst-case scenario if he does not pass, does anyone know - i have no idea of how to offer advice other than to say it'll be ok...but will it??
Did your son or daughter get notified of the hold?
@Pat I’m wondering the same thing!
What does it mean to be placed on Grad Hold in Charleston? Is that before power school grad or after?
Pat
