Hi tennismom, so glad you found me. My Son is our only child. It has been a bit rough, but I am doing better since I received his letter. I am sure you got a letter as well. My letter sounded like it was sent from Summer Camp not Boot Camp. We are from California. Are you planning on going to the PIR? We just finalized our plane tickets and accomodations. 43 more days.

We did get a letter the other day! I was so happy to get that letter, I can't even tell you! It was like getting gold in the mail! ;) My son said he was having a good time as well. The only thing he didn't like was the 6 shots and having his wisdom teeth pulled. But other than that, he likes it. It made me feel so good, because I knew then he was where he wanted to be. However, he said in his letter that his division is grad and go, so I would have to see him in San Antonio!? Did your son say anything about that? So, I haven't finalized my plans yet. I think I will at least book the hotel, but wait another week or so on the airfare.

    Hey there Tennismom,

My son just graduated from MA at Lackland. Traffic is not bad, go to the top and read my blog about getting there, getting your pass the day before etc. That info will help you out a bunch. Traffic on the interstate may be heavy at that time of the morning though. We went the day before and he showed us how to get to the place where they stay and how they would march up to the building the next morning. We got there at 745 so we could watch them march in at 8. They will practice from like 8 to 845 and it is suppose to start at 9 but if someone is lost or late they will wait for them. Ours started at 930. It was very low key, and very nice . They really make it comfortable and personal. You can take all the pics you want and go up on stage and move around. Enjoy it !! My son is still there for K9 school, he will graduate it May 13 so we will head back then. Good luck let me know if I can help you!
