Andrea replied to Andrea's discussion 'Meals'
"Thank you!  I appreciate the reply.  I guess I am trying to figure out why his meals are not paid for at this time. He is still active and gets a paycheck.  He will have his bank statements to show his transactions. "

"Yes, Sometimes one side is quicker than the other.  He should get all this paid back but it may take a bit.  He needs to eat.  He should have funds of his own available  and he needs to keep track of all meals he pays for that…"

Meals

Hello this is my first post. Thank you for accepting me. My son is in Coronado waiting for his transfer assignment since he will be leaving Buds.  All of a sudden his card for meals has been declined. Yes he has asked twice and had been told he is on a better situation than others regarding his card. Since he is between assignments does he not get his meals paid for?  He has been there a under 2 months and this happened last week for the first time. Will it activate again when he gets to his…See More

Okay, that is what I was seeing on the group page as far as where his A school would be located at. Be sure to post on that group page, even if there has not been activity for a while. Also be sure to do the friend request that I recommended.

Hi Andrea, I am not sure about that group for his base, I would have to do some digging later. Feel free to ask in the Beyond BC group if anyone has a sailor there or not.

I am well, it has been a busy couple of days and trying to prepare for this upcoming long weekend.

Andrea, welcome to the Beyond BC group. I posted a hello to you in our comment Wall area. Be sure to read my Welcome Information, scroll past the discussions ( I try to limit on this group to just a place to keep perpetual information updated), and underneath the discussions you will see the Comment Wall. That is where we do our daily postings.

I am also sending you a friend request. If you accept it would you please reply to this comment and let me know. This site only notifies us when someone sends us a friend request. It does not tell us if someone has accepted it or not.

You might also find this discussion that I posted in the BC Mom group helpful as you learn to navigate around this site. - How to send PMs (Private Messages) to friends on N4M & some OPSEC/PERSEC info - Navy For Moms (ning.com)

Andrea - Since your sailor is already out of BC, then I would like to invite you to join the Beyond BC - Navy For Moms (ning.com) - Beyond BC group. This group has a wider variety of members with sailors in various areas and you could ask your question there.

Then jump right in!  Browse around the site and check out the groups and the information in their Discussion Forums.

Join this group for boot camp moms, where you'll also find a group for your Pass in Review (graduation) date; and this one for PIR Reference Information.

Get a head start during boot camp by joining groups for, and learning about, your Sailor's occupational specialty and "A" School; and later your Sailor's duty station and/or Navy ship and homeport. You can also join groups for your own state, region or home town and interests from getting ready for deployment to care package ideas!

Please say Hi when you join a group, and feel free to ask any and all questions - everyone was new once, and there is no "dumb" question.  This site was created by the U.S. Navy just for you, and we look forward to getting to know you and your Sailor.  Welcome to the NAVY family - we're so glad you're here!!
