OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Follow this link for OPSEC Guidelines:

Profile Information

A little about me:
I am a hard working mother of three wonderful children. My oldest son, Zachary just left for BC for the U.S. Navy, my middle child Madelyn is 14 and very active in sports and keeps us very busy running from game to game. My youngest Brooklyn is 9 and is very smart and loves to read. My kids are the center of my world and when Zachary left for basic , I was empty inside. I know he has made an excellent decesion and will become a great young man, but still does not take away the sadness of him being gone.
I am here to support my
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy career?
When I heard “Navy,” I...

If there is ever anything I can help with, just ask.  The form letter can take as long as 3 weeks to come, although most are received within 2 weeks.  Take care and blessings to you and yours.

Go to the PIR 11/2/12 facebook page.  Go under the File tab.  There are several questionnaires listed there.  There is also a lot of really good info on BC and what's going on.  If this doesn't work, let me know.  I will see if I can copy and paste it here.  My SR really enjoyed filling it also saved him a lot of writing time.

The questionnaire is under the Groups Tab.  Click on New Members Stop Here.  It's in the column on the right.  My SR said he enjoyed answering the questions.
