Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A little about me:
My name is Briana, I'm here because I need help dealing with the distance away from my boyfriend. We've been together for a year, and celebrated 5 days before he left for basic training. We spent everyday together, fell asleep together, and talked for hours. He just left, but I can't keep my mind busy, when I get alone the tears starts, and I get a knot in my throat. It's hard, I can't do this alone.

I understand you and for me its exactly the same. I work and I will be starting school on monday as well. I write to him everyday too but I didn't know where to send the letters to. Recently I receive all his info so I will be sending him the letters. I can't wait to hear from him. I also pray so that has help me out alot. overall I feel proud of him as well bc like you said he is looking out for our future.
