OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I see you have joined some groups and adjusted as a Navy family. Please join the New Moms Stop Here group, if you haven’t. There are many wonderful experienced members with that group if you have questions and concerns. I am going to be removing my self as your Friend because I am stepping back to concentrate on some business projects. I have been "mentoring" many new members and above a certain number, I won't be effective; therefore, I am “graduating” a few of you who appear to be well-adjusted and have learned the ropes. If you need me, you’ll find me on a daily basis in the SF Bay Area Navy Families group (click on link). That is my “home” group where I am the creator/admin. I am frequently on the New Moms Stop Here too since I am also one of the admins. Best of luck to you and your sailor. Regards, BunkerBee.

Did you already get a letter??? He must really be doing well, because my daughters recruiter said that they only give privelages to the recruits that are "keeping it together". The ones that are struggling or not giving 100% have to wait until the three week mark to call or write home. Good for you. Keep up the positive reinforcement and keep me posted on how thing are going. Asia just left one week ago and I still am wondering how she's doing.

Since you have changed your Username so that it does not include your last name, also do the following so that your webpage address (URL) above does not include your name any more: Look in the upper left hand corner under your picture and information; it says Manage My Page or Photo. Click on My Page. The next screen says My Page Settings. Go down to the Address and in the box next to “http://www.navyformoms.com/profile”, make the change to random letters and numbers or Clarissa. Blessings to you and yours.
