That is ok.  Not against Navy policy.  But it does make it easy for your son to be identified with your comments (RDCs read this site).  You may want to reduce it to just "CMsmom".  Just a thought.  We try to remain sort of anonymous on the site...as far as who our SRs are.  RDCs usually figure it out, but sometimes it is harder.  With CM, they may figure those are first and last name initials so they may not know who he is.  But if you have a pik of him as your icon, they can see that too.  Nothing forbidden...it's just that we don't want to bring any razzing from the RDCs to the SRs from our comments.  I saw the other day where one SR had to do 5 pushups every time his mom posted!  Just kind of silly stuff....but still...

Hey!  Just had to check...is that your SR's name in your screen name?  If so, you will need to change your screen name.  No last names are allowed on the site.  If it is not your SR's name, then no problem!

Hi Mary, No I still have not heard anything from my daughter.  I thought for sure I'd get a letter today, but still nothing.  I'm afraid to leave the house for fear of missing her when she calls.  What about you?   Any news yet?

Hi Cody's Mom.  My name is Lisa and my daughter is in the same division.  Wondering if you have received a letter from him or got a real phone call yet?  I still haven't received either.

Yes...I think a generic would not get to your sailor. Be patient...just send them all at once and your sailor will be thrilled. You will get lots of letters back and they will  be great.

He will send you a form letter and he will tell you his ship and division...also how to write the address. My son got extra pushups because I did not write the numerals in the address EXACTLY like I was supposed to. You also have to put slashes diagonally across the zeros. He actually likes extra pushups cause he worked out so much harder BEFORE bootcamp that he is getting out of shape!

Welcome...I read your question about not having his address...you will soon get a letter with  all the info...be patient...My son left weeks ago and I got his letter about two weeks into his bootcamp experience...sooo...it will be there soon.
