Hi Deena,
The last letter I received from Brian sounded pretty upbeat. (At least for bootcamp). He is looking forward going to his A school. Besides the tests he said he passed he said that the division did well enought at drill inspection that they earned a flag. As of July 11th they had 3 flags. Now I don't know how that ranks with other divisions. I think Battlestation 21 is at the end of this week. Then we should get the "I am a sailor call". From what I have read it is longer than the 10-15 minute call we received before. Hang in there, less that 2 weeks now. Linda

Hi Deena,
Glad you liked the picture and you can see your son. My son Brian had the high fever and cough over the 4th of July weekend too. It sounds like most of them caught it. Brian is going to Master of Arms training in Texas. He is hoping to have at least enough time to go to Fridays for a meal before he has to go to the airport. Hope to meet you all either thursday or friday.

Hi Deena, Nice to hear from you. I haven't yet heard any details from Marshall. I am hoping to get a call this week and maybe he will have some more information. I will let you know when I hear some details. Hope we can meet after graduation. I can't wait to see Marshall! I hope all is going well for them all.

Hi Deena, nice to hear from you! Yes I think they will start A school on Monday, but I am not sure of the details either. Yes, we are coming to the graduation. We are planning on taking a road trip out there. I can't remember if I told you we live in California. We have family in Nebraska and will visit them on the way. We are planning to stay at the Ramada Inn, which is close to the base. They are having a meet and greet there and you don't have to be staying there to attend. It is on Thursday evening before the graduation. It would be great if you could come and we could meet! I am going to write to my son Marshall and tell him about your son also going to A school there to be a corpsmen. Maybe they may know eachother even though they are in different divisions. I know he will like hearing about this. Hope to chat more soon!
