Make at least change 3 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link).

There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

Another change that I recommend that is mentioned in change 1 is to change the ZIP Code to one that is not easily associated with you or your Sailor.

Where is your Sailor stationed (what vessel, if one)? There may be groups I can direct you to.

The Page, 800 and 900 Divisions, within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will be of interest to you since you have a recruit in a performing division. I believe that Division 907 is Sticks/Flags.

Hi EllaMom, Yes, I'm still having a tough time on here just when I think I have it, I get a little confused again.  I was going to add a picture but I'm afraid I'll really mess something up.  I'm doing ok.  The weekends are tough because I don't have enough to keep me busy (well I do, I just don't feel like doing them). After I saw people getting calls yesterday morning, the phone never left my side. I was disappointed she couldn't call but I just keep telling myself, no news is good news and repeat it constantly :).  I believe they get to write letters today and mail them tomorrow so keep an eye on your mailbox. Next week we have a couple things to look forward to, a letter and hopefully a call! I really hope she's not too homesick. I made our travel arrangements so we're all set for PIR. How are you holding up?

Hi EllaMom. That's great that you made reservations (when you receive the letter, you'll also receive a brochure that provides info on lodging for the graduation). I was going to make reservations last night too but I was so tired.  We're planning on arriving on the 1st as well. Since we're driving, I don't want to take any chances with the weather and it'll give us a chance to rest and take it easy on Thursday.  I'm leaning on staying at a place that has shuttle service to the base because I've read that the traffic is so bad. There's also a hotel on the base but you have to be eligible - not sure what that means - I'll have to give them a call.  Let me know where you're staying (if you feel comfortable with the info) because I like that it's only 10 mins from base.  I'm sorry you're going to miss her birthday!!!  You'll have to really celebrate during her liberty after PIR.  I'm going to be so excited too!!!  I cannot wait!!! It was so different when she went away to college, I could talk to her all the time.  It's just so hard not talking to her. This probably sounds corny but, when I write her letters, I just picture us sitting at the table talking.  So with everything I write, I can hear her response in my mind and that's what gets me through. You're right, the time will go fast.  10 days have gone by now :)
