OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A little about me:
My husband and I recently got married and moved in together in mid-April. I now live in Oak Harbor,Washington, and it is a big transition. Just being married, not having family near, and being somewhere new is definitely a new experience. Though we may fight about petty things, I am happier than ever finally being with him for more than a week!
I am here to support my

Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I...
Was proud and encouraged it
The Navy offers opportunities that...
Cherish the time with your loved ones. When I wasn't with him, I missed him. Then I moved and got married, and now I miss my family, but I love spending time with him. The little things do make a difference. We walk to base to watch a movie, and we have so much fun just doing little things. Sometimes we fight about ridiculous things, but we always wake up happy with each other.
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Well my boyfriend is leaving the 16th for A School. But he'll only have liberty the 11-13. I'm just assuming that is how it goes for most unless they are grad & go. I hope I've been some help. Only 20 more days! :)

Hm, is he giving you any information in his letters? I would go ahead and return the 13th. If for some reason he does not have the whole weekend of liberty, you could always just explore Chicago!

Well, in the letters I got yesterday, he said they got the definite that graduation is on the 11th. He said that he is not leaving for A School until the next Wednesday, so he has liberty on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We're leaving on the 10th and coming back late on the 13th. But we're driving there.
