OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hey!  You live in my "dream" area.  I am in Miami....but my parents have had a place in Juno Beach for years so we are up there alot.  Sailor son lived up there for 1.5 yrs before Navy....loved it.  Want to move back there eventually.  He worked at the Marriott there on PGA when interning and finishing his A.S. degree.

We all just love the Jupiter/Palm Beach Gardens/Juno area....and especially love the Jupiter dog beach!  :-)

DrJudi, my son left on Thursday Dec 6th and we got his "I'm here" call around 8 pm. We also talked to his recruiter earlier in the day and said things have changed in BC. You don't have to wait for the letter to get the address. He would have it for me either Friday or Monday the latest. He facebooked me with all the info. Ship/division address and PIR date. February 1st. This is temporary as long as he passes his tests and battle station 21. Which I am sure he will.

Welcome to NavyForMoms.com!!

I hope you get all the information here you are looking for.  Please stop by the Survival Guide for New Moms for some of the info to start with.
If you have a new Recruit and need phone cards for them please check out Calls for Recruits.org and get them for FREE.  I feel that the Family, Loved Ones, nor the Men and Women of our Armed Forces should have to pay for phone calls from Boot Camp.  The link above will take you to the website to send the email for the FREE phone cards if you need them.  Please spread the word if you know of anyone who can use this great service!!!
