OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Follow this link for OPSEC Guidelines:

Hey! That's hilarious, what a small world! Beaver Falls is nothing special and I sometimes hate to admit it's home, but I've lived in the area for the past 12 years. Beaver Falls is also a wide area. There are a few townships in the city limits. North Sewickley (where I live, is the "farm country") Big Beaver Falls (the city, kinda scary) and Chippewa (blackhawk schools. its where the walmart and shops are) I am happy you said something though. Its neat seeing that people get connected in one way (aka navyformom) but find out they have more in common! Have a great day judie!

ps-only 55 more days til PIR!

Hey Judie, I got my box today. She just left Tuesday! I found a note that simply said I love you. It did make me cry. But, I know she will be fine even if she is hating life right now as Jimmy is. He sent the letter to his GF, huh? Moms always rate second when there is a boyfriend or girlfriend. I'll bet the I love you note was actually meant for her boyfriend, but neither of them would ever admitt it! lol She did leave w/a girl from West Seneca. They were obviously in DEP together. You'll have to keep me posted on what your plans are for PIR. Hotels, etc.

Oh my gosh! So he left on the 8th and my daughter leaves on the 14th. Perhaps they will meet up at one point or another. How old is your son? My daughter just turned 20. She joined the Navy because she was only getting deeper and deeper into student loan debt (D'Youville) and still not knowing what she wanted to do! She was working @ Tanning Bed by the Mckinely Mall and of course that didn't net her much income! I'm really shocked she even had the guts to sign up...mommy's little girl, can't even cook for herself! But I'm so proud of her. Her rate is CTT. I'm still learning all of this lingo. I hope you've heard from your son by now. I'd love to hear what he had to say!
