Hi Kelly, thanks for your note. My son, George, is going into the Nuc program in South Carolina. I'm holding on to the "no news is good news" words regularly. Looking forward to meeting you in a few short weeks! ~Abbe

Hi Kelly, how are you doing? I imagine you are feeling the same way that I am feeling from your comment at the top. That's exactly how I felt when I just now checked the mail. It feels terrible when you are waiting for that letter so badly.
I just now got home from work and on my way home I was wondering--God will forgive me because I cannot afford to miss Andrew's call later today if he calls, I am really afraid to go to church because that is when he might call and I can NEVER forgive myself if he calls and I can't pick up. Can you imagine how bad that would be? I would be devastated. I hope we will all be lucky today. By the way, thanks for inviting me. I hope I will write with good news. Have a wonderful Mothers' Day. By the way, my name is Anne.

Yes, I joined it, if its the same one you're talking about. Do a search for PIR 6/11/10. I think that's it. If not, let me know and I'll look again. We really haven't decided how long we'll stay, kind of depends on what we hear about the grad-n-go thing. AND, I just talked to my husband. Got the "boy-in-the-box" in the mail today. Just like someone else said, his pants legs were rolled up. I heard it was so they could measure their feet. I couldn't believe that it was just like they said.

I've looked around via the internet at the hotels but I really haven't seen any recommendations from this website. I'd like to fly out of Abilene instead of Dallas but I'll have to convince my husband that its worth the money! :)) I'll let you know if the box is in the mailbox when I get home today. I hope so. At least that's proof that something's going on up there! Its hard to sit here idle and wait when you know they are working so hard....

No, no box yet. I'm sure it will be there today, though. What is your son training for? TC elected to be a CM, construction mechanic. Have you looked into reservations in Illinois yet?

We're from Abilene. I think TC will be a grad and go also. He didn't have much time between the time he signed up and bootcamp, just a couple of weeks. It happened so fast, not like others that I've seen posted. Where will your son go to training? TC's will be Port Humene, cA, a "Seabee".

Yes, its his picture. I checked the mail yesterday. Still no package. Do you have any info on graduation date yet? I've checked the Navy website and it appears to me that it will be the weekend of 6/12 but I'm still waiting. I want to make my reservations ASAP. We're from Texas. Did I see that you were from Colorado or was that someone else?

Hey, Kelly. I haven't received the letter yet but my son's recruiter called Sunday night to tell us our son is Ship 11 Div 212 also.
