Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

A little about me:
We are a former military family,originally from Texas but we have made our home in Alabama.Jacob is my oldest, he graduated high school in may 2012 and I have a 15 year old daughter, Emma.I work as a Training and Curriculum Specialist at Ft. Rucker. I have learned through my own life as a military spouse and working with military families it draws the family unit close and it's such a tight knit community.

Make at least change 3 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link) and change the Privacy Settings for this page from "Anyone" to "Members."

Since your Username contains your last name, also make changes 1 and 2 to change your Username and the URL (address) to your My Page, which also contains your first name.

There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

We have made it half way!! All i can tell you is Oct 12 can't get here soon enough. Got my fingers crossed that i will get a letter today. i didn't get one last week cause i got the call.  It seems like fridays are the worst, not sure why. How have you been holding up? Did you get a call yet?

that's great..... charlie didn't say in his letter yesterday where he would be going, but i'm thinking he's going there also...that will be good if they are gonna be in A school together..i see some ppl are getting calls today i sure hope we get one......

I would love to drive up there....I still find myself looking out the window at night waiting for him to come home & thinking he's late.
