Hi Linda, no problem my pleasure I know you are going to be thrilled at PIR my sons was back on Oct 2010 and we were able to spend almost 4 days with him because it was Columbus Day weekend plus he was staying at Great Lakes for A School so we lucked out.I just read on our site somewhere that another transportation number is called SARGE TAXI 1 (847)212-0246 and had good reviews and I ve read about him before in different groups.Like I said we had our truck because we drove from New Jersey but we had no problems in or out the day of PIR at the base.Enjoy your time at PIR bring lots of tissues I left mine at hotel but another Mom gave me some of hers LOL.Let me know after how it went,Maria Navy25
HI, thanks so much for your interest in the PIR ribbons that I make. I sent you an email with all the info about the ribbons as well as some helpful advice for PIR. Let me know if you don't receive the email. Thanks again, I look forward to making ribbons for you and your family. Lora
Linda, Welcome, I had the same reaction. It's such a strange, lonely feeling going through this...I have no military experiences. At the same time your soul is warmed by knowing you're not alone, your also saddened by someone else's sorrow. This has been so emotional, my SR left 7/11, but actaully had to leave out of TX, so I haven't seen him since 6/21. We are very close, and I just hate that I am not able to go through this "first" with him, like all the others. We are here for you, no question should go unanswered.
You will find this site very helpful and full of members who are eager to answer your questions. Browse around the site and check out the forums, groups, blogs, photos, videos, and even the other member profiles!
