FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My daughter leaves in October

I am finding this sight to be most helpful in the short time I have been signed up. I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on why my duaghter does not leave for BC until October. here it is January. seems like an awful long time to waite. Plus I know how the cold is in October. I know mother hen.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

I see you joined the Moms of Daughters 2 group and I want to welcome you!!  We are a close, friendly, supportive group of Moms always willing to be there for each other.  I see you are brand new to N4Ms and your daughter will be heading to boot camp soon?  Please feel free to jump in and join our chats.  You can ask any questions you may have, talk freely about your feelings, fears or concerns, or just chat about life.  We are all in different phases of our daughters Naval careers and we are always there for each other!!!   I have a son and a daughter serving now and another daughter enlisted in an Officer's Program to become a Naval Flight Officer!!  Looking forward to getting to know you and your sailor!!  Again, Welcome Aboard!!!!!

Welcome to N4Ms. My sailor is on a sub & soon to finish his first deployment. I try to keep information secure so they are safe. Have you read OPSEC? I don't give out my sailor's name. I keep my page private for that reason too but I am happy to support you. Going to your Inbox & composing a message to someone you have friended is private. Public cannot see it. Let me know if you want to be friends on a private basis.
