Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I am not sure how the Reservist part works - I did a search on my bf's job code and it gave me some info; I looked up the SW job code for you - here is the link - not sure how up to date or accurate it is but it might answer some questions. http://usmilitary.about.com/od/enlistedjob1/a/sw.htm

Wow - yeah sounds like he did make a quick decision - but not that it's a bad thing. My guy went into the DEP program - so we actually had a year to prepare for his leaving for bootcamp. So we had one more year of holidays, float trips, etc...I knew it was coming - but yeah - still didn't stop the tears. That is the hardest part I think- you go from being completely inseparable to just nothing for a while. The isolation from them is the worst.

Thanks - yes I can hardly thing of anything else right now - as I'm sure you can relate - we are getting so close - like 8 more days for me. My bf Mike is going to Meridian for training to be SH. I think his is supposed to be for 4 wks. I don't know yet when he will get his orders or where. I guess we are all finding out fast what Navy life is gonna be like.

When i first talked to him he said he did get the whole weekend ike he can even sleep at the hotel but in his last letter he wrote that he doesnt knw anymore that it depends on the school. Im hoping he does get the whole weekend though. I alread booked the hotel until sunday. I kno he has t go right after graduation to his school to sign in or w.e. Letssee what hapens im hoping for the best. That sucks you only get friday but you can visit during A school and 7 weeks will fly by.

Hes staying in GL for A school. He says his school is 9 weeks. I cant wait til PIR i miss my bf soo much as im sure you mis your guy too. Where is he going?

My bf is going to Mississippi too and yes for 7 weeks! what's your fiancee's job? Mine is going for MA.. Anyway, Im so sad because they are grad n go which means we will only have a few hours with them after graduation. He said they leave for the airport at 2 AM Saturday.. We can however meet them at the airport to hung out with them until they fly out.. still sad about that though.. :( Did you make reservations yet for Grad? btw, I sent you an invite to our Div. 139 group. :)
