Our sons left the same day. Where are you from? We live in Indy. I received the "I'm here call" but I haven't gotten the box or the letter. Have you? I'm hoping I get the box today-wait, does FedEx run on MLK day? UGH-I hope they do!
I hope you are doing ok, I have my moments. I miss him terribly but I know this is what he wants to do. Our son went to school to be a firefighter. He got all the certifications needed but was having a terrible time finding a job in that field. He was working at a manufacturing facility but not something he wanted to do forever. He researched the Navy and got the rank he wanted. He's going to be a DC. What about your son?
Hang in there! I know how hard it is, luckily we have this sight for support. I'm looking forward to connecting with you!
Have a great day!
Yes, I got your comment. Sorry, I'm still learning to navigate this site. I disabled the email notifications because it was becoming annoying, but now I miss comments people make to me, so I may need to reenable it. My son turned 19 in September. Even though he has been away from home for over a year, this past week has been really tough because we no longer have the option to text or call. It's killing me not knowing what they are doing, not being able to send the letters I'm writing daily, and not knowing their division numbers or PIR dates! I'm so glad I've found this site so we can support each other like our sons are undoubtedly doing to help them get through Boot Camp :)
