HI Mellisa-  Great to hear from you.  That is good you heard from yours.  I have Not heard from my son.  So they are not out to Far and can Receive Packages.  That is good to know, You were able to talk to him on the phone, so they are not too far out, or back on base.  I was not sure.  Communicating with you is Comforting to me.  You have no Idea!

oh my goodness... I'm bursting at the seams waiting for that call. I have my phone basically attached to my ear haha :) Sending lots of good vibes to our SRs (very SOON to be Sailors). Did you get any blue candles to burn? I'm normally not superstitious, but I think I'd just about do anything to show my support for them at this point!

Not sure when battlestations are - but that's in my most recent letter to my SR. I'm going to try to look it up online as well - like what week and day of RTC it is. I am not sure if they won any flags - though my hubby did tell me they were painting their division flags... not sure if you just automatically get those or not. I DO know that they've had a load of demerits :( which has to be a really strain on morale. i guess it's mostly been for doing silly things like talking when they shouldn't etc. Hopefully they've pulled it together and are working as a team now! I should get another letter on Tuesday, so maybe I'll have more info then :S

Hey there :) Yes, my sailor is my husband. I moved on my own accord when he came up here for RTC since he also has A school here (for AECF). Chicago was a good opportunity for me career wise too - so it worked out. The training part of base is actually right behind my house. We don't live on base, but we might as well being that close! Sometimes I go 'spy' on them, I can see them doing marching drills and stuff. But they all look the same in their blue digis and sea bags haha :) My husband also had a long wait before he could go in because of the lack of jobs. Seems like the economy is putting strains on the military now, too. Not many days until PIR now... I feel like the month is either going to fly or just draaggg on haha :)
